They asked many questions, containing personal information, for which they seemed to have all personal information. I did not give them info--they already had it. I immediately closed my checking account from which auto payments to WellCare were taken. A few days later, money was attempted to be taken by this Homeguard 247 company. At that point though youe are stuck in a loop on your webpage that makes it impossible to respond . Of course I immediately canceled the membership upon learning this the following day but they say they keep my $45 even though they provided nothing.. The message was fully robotic and asked for a person named “Maria Rosario”, which is not me. It stated it was “regarding your last visit” and instructed me to call back at another number (the callback number was spoken quickly and not recorded). The message sounded suspicious because: I am not the person they asked for Real medical providers do not discuss “last visits” via robocall The number does not appear anywhere on CharterCare’s official website A carrier lookup shows this number belongs to SINCH (Inteliquent/Neutral Tandem), a VOIP carrier commonly used by robocall operations Online searches indicate this number is associated with scam activity This appears to be a healthcare impersonation scam designed to harvest personal information, insurance details, or other sensitive data by making victims call a fake callback number. What the scammer asked for: Requested that I call back regarding a “recent visit” Attempted to initiate contact by using the name of a real health organization Did not verify my identity Did not use any official or verifiable CharterCare contact numbers How the scammer contacted me: Robocall using spoofed caller ID. Actions Taken: I did not return the call. I blocked the number. I verified the carrier (SINCH VOIP) and confirmed it is not an official CharterCare line. I checked CharterCare’s official website and the number does not exist in their system.
