    Well now, looky here! The Better Business Bureau down here in Central and South Alabama is puttin' on a "Shred Day." It's to help folks protect their good name by shreddin' up all those personal papers for free! Y'all need to mark your calendars for Friday, September 19th, 2025, from 9 AM 'til high noon. Head on over to the Eastdale Mall in Montgomery, right there in front of Dillard's. You'll get in off the Atlanta Highway. Now, listen close: it's just for paper, and you can only bring up to two boxes or bags, no more than 50 pounds total. And this here event is for regular folks, so no businesses, please. We got some good folks helpin' us out, too, like WSFA 12, Eastdale Mall, Recycle Service Corporation, AL.com, MAX Credit Union, and AARP Alabama.

    Join the City of Montgomery and the Better Business Bureau for the Montgomery Fraud Summit, a free event dedicated to helping you prevent and avoid local scams. The summit will take place on Thursday, September 18th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the City Hall Auditorium, located at 103 N. Perry Street. You'll hear from a variety of presenters, including the Montgomery Police Department, MAX Credit Union, and the Alabama Securities Commission, who will share valuable information on how to protect yourself.
