Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Allstate Insurance regarding their handling of my claim for wind, storm, and hail damage to the roof of my property located at **********************************, which occurred on August 23, 2023.Upon contacting Allstate on September 29, 2023, an adjuster was dispatched to assess the damage and proposed to replace the damaged shingles with ones of equal quality, color, and make. However, this plan failed as the sought-after shingles were no longer available.On February 21, 2024, Allstate provided an estimate for shingle replacement. Regrettably, the proposed shingles differ significantly in quality, color, and size from the originals. According to a contractor from RoofRevivers, this substitution will not only disrupt the harmonious appearance of my home's roof but also potentially violate Ohio building codes, leading to structural issues.The solution offered by Allstate not only fails to restore my roof to its original appearance but also poses a risk of devaluing my property and causing structural damage.I urge the Better Business Bureau to investigate this matter promptly and ensure that Allstate Insurance provides a satisfactory resolution that aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Sincerely,************************* Phd, RN
