    Although they clean everything after the job (in their own way), but too much dust in the whole house, despite installing a window with a broken glass (they must come again of course) but generally very courteous and professional, hopefully the windows last as long as they guarantee said.

    Extremely disappointed with communication from Verdun. We had patio doors installed, and prior to installation we were wary. Someone on our street used them to replace a window and over a month later they still have red tape up and the job is not finished. For us, the guy who quoted neglected to tell us details about how to take care of electricity around the door. Thankfully we discovered the wires run up into the attic but nothing was said to us prior about how to prepare the area. We just lucked out. He didn't even check outside to make sure the doors could be installed properly. The team that came in was very nice and did a good job of installation. They checked everything to make sure it would be okay. However, they dropped tools and gouged our hardwood, and left glue on the floor that we cannot get up. They didn't put a drop cloth down, so they vacuumed before they left but we were left with a huge clean up of drywall ************ all over our hardwood floors. The door was very disappointing as it had gouges and scratches. Not what we paid for and extremely disappointed that we paid for a new door, yet it came with defects. They also cut too far and ended up cutting our baseboards on either side too wide for the door. They could have easily just jogged the cut to avoid this, but now we are left to replace the baseboards on both sides of the door which should never have happened. The whole thing felt extremely unprofessional.We emailed Verdun and did not hear back for over a week! During this time we sent a second email and even called and spoke to someone, who reassured us we would be receiving communication. Over a week later, they emailed to say it was being sent to the service department. Our doors were installed two weeks ago and we have still not heard back. They have taken our money and have not responded to our communication with any satisfaction. I would not recommend this company. I would hope they would reply to rectify this immediately.

    Just writing to say thanks, for your excellent door that you installed April 1st.Its been 9 months now, and I have to say lve never had a problem locking the door now with the new door not unlike our old door, where you had to push the door in, and trying to turn the lock when it was extremely cold -15 or colder.This new door closes and locks like greased lightning really smooth.The same goes for the slider windows you also installed.Anyway thanks again for making and installing an excellent door and windows.*********************

    We had a large patio door with built in blinds installed, as well as a new window for our kitchen.**** and his partner ( sorry didn't catch his name ) did a superb job installing both units--smooth, timely and efficient.Much more importantly--my wife is very pleased !So--thumbs up from both of us !Cheers, **************

    After almost two years from the time we ordered a new door it has finally been installed. While it was during the *********** the wait time between ordering was what seemed a long process. When they called to say the door was in we set a day and they came to replace the door it turned out that the wrong colour door and frame were brought, and they proceeded to remove the original door and installed the wrong colour door.We were not happy with the installers at the time as they really didnt care that they installed the wrong door. We spoke to Verdun explaining the situation and they said they would rectify it quickly.Now after another 18 months we now have a correct colour door and frame.******** and his partner were very good and seemed to do the install well.After five different visits by Verdun workers, most quite pleasant, it is done.

    We had our front door, side door and patio door replaced and were very pleased with the quality and workmanship of the employees who did the installation. We would highly recommend this company.

    I had a tech come to my farm to replace a window. Asked about another window that was needed. Tech ordered the window for me, I was standing there as he ordered it. Office sent me a contract a week later which I paid immediately. Office took the order down wrong and I didn't notice because I didn't make the order. Almost a year after paying, the wrong window was sent. Before installation I told the tech it was the wrong window. He sat in his truck and said he would wait while I called. Office told him if it was ok with me he would install the incorrect window and come back later to refit the right window. I agreed. After the window is installed the following week Verdun calls me to say it is the window I ordered and I am stuck with what I have. If I want the insert that the window was supposed to come with it will cost $200+ more. Now I have paid almost $1300 for a 42 X 18 inch basement window. Verdun says it's because they have a 20 warranty on their product. After waiting 4 months for the new part that I now have to install myself, it didn't arrive as scheduled. Now I get to wait some more. 15 years ago this was a good company, not anymore. All mistakes are the customers fault. After sales service is terrible.

    I can't agree with everything you've stated. I do not have a copy of the contract on my computer. I merely paid the bill I don't believe I've ever seen the contract. Aside from that the replacement window part that I paid a huge amount of money for was in fact delivered 3 weeks beyond the longest date you said you required to build the window. To add insult to injury the window part that was ordered on January 6th was apparently completed on February 16th as per the label on the box and it wasn't delivered until mid April. Since then my basement has flooded because that window was to be used for an exit for my sump pump. That is why it was so important that I received it before this spring more than a year after it was ordered.

    Finally my part came in. I don't know if is the right size yet because the install is 120km away. Verdun refused to deliver the part to the site so I arranged to have it delivered to my city address. You said there would be directions on installation, there isn't so once again I guess I'm on my own to figure out installation. I ordered the dryer vent window so I could use it to vent my sump pump. I ordered very early last year so that the window would be in place for thaw this year. Since Verdun delivered and installed the wrong window I have had to wait for this part. Well the worst happened and the sump kicked in last week with no place for the water to go, I was flooded. Damaged mattress and furniture.I find it odd that Verdun never takes or admits blame for their mistakes. If you look at the hundreds of complaints on the BBB site you will find they are all the same. Verdun makes a mistake they blame first the customer then the measurements (that would be their staff) then the manufacturers. It is never Verdun's fault always someone else, a total lack of corporate responsibility. I can't recommend this company even though it is a good product because service is awful.

    I have had an unsatisfactory experience. There are things that went well. The initial windows were ready in the timeframe I was provided. I liked the sales person and the installer was very professional and friendly. The two service people who came in to resolve problems with the windows were also great.What went wrong? - Of the 7 windows I purchased, 2 were the wrong size and 2 had faults - I didn't get a call from Verdun to apologize or provide a timeframe for resolution. All that happened was I got a system-generated email along the lines of "we haven't forgotten about you..."- after a month of waiting for a call, I sent them an angry email. They called me immediately. I explained my frustration with the process. I told them that because of the problem with one of the windows (it wouldn't shut properly) I'd had cold air coming into my house since their visit. They sent someone over that day. They assured me my new windows and the remaining problem window were a priority to them and said they had instituted a process of calling every customer following ******************. I wasn't happy with the timeframe they provided me for the replacement windows (installation 2 months after the original installation date) and asked that a supervisor call me. After a week, I still hadn't had a call from a supervisor so I called them myself. They didn't seem to understand why I was frustrated and they couldn't move up my date - they came in last week to install the replacement windows and fix the other window with the problem. The installer told me someone would need to come back to fix the caulking - I sent them an email this week because I still haven't received a post-installation call from them (the process they told me they had instituted) and I wanted to know about the caulking. They didn't even know about the problem with the caulking. But they did of course send me an automated email asking me to share a positive review on social media!
