1 star***** *** ******* They weren't there for me when I needed them the most! The ER referred me to a neurologist and a surgeon after a injury on the job. Intact wouldn't pay for the doctors to see me up front. They wanted me to pay out of pocket but I didn't have the money. They paid me nothing/ $0 for being out of work for over a month. They required a doctors note but they wouldn't pay for the doctors. 1 starI've been an Intact customer for over 15 years. Only 2 claims including this most recent one.. Last time I was rear-ended, I had a adjuster and approved claim within 24 - 48hours. This time I was rear-ended again, its now been 8 days and I havent even had an adjuster assigned and the estimates submitted have not been reviewed.. We are able to confirm that the estimate has already been approved and sent to the field shop to start the repairs. Co-payable cheque has been issued to the shop and insured today and once the repairs are complete we can pay the rental and close the claim.Chris W

1 starI am leaving Intact after 15 years of being a loyal customer.
**** ********** ** *** ******* ** **** * ******** the first time I am applying for a home accident.
First time I am applying for an accident that happened and this is the treatment I get.
The adjuster spent all her time looking at the legal loopholes to deny my claim instead of helping me.
Intact has provided me with 0 help. The accident happened and I have so far received nothing.
What’s the point of me paying for insurance if Intact is not there to support me in my time of need?

Let me set the record straight. Nobody from Intact reached out to me. I had to ask the adjuster what was happening. To which she replied that my claim was being sent to the superiors for review.
$6,500 is the amount I had to pay personally to fix the leak in my master bathroom apartment two years ago because Intact stated that this was a “maintenance problem” and not their responsibility. I had to borrow from the bank to pay this.
$5,200 is the chargeback my condo charged for the repairs to the unit below. I am still waiting to hear from Intact regarding this. It is “under review”. If Intact does not help, I will have to borrow from the bank again to cover this.
$11,700 or almost $12,000 will be the amount I will have to pay personally and take a loan from the bank to cover these costs. Nobody should have to suffer like this. I have home insurance. Intact insurance. But they have been no help.

1 starWow... Horrible experience... My dwelling was broken into and anything worth something was taken. I have over 50k worth of items on my claim which was only insured for 20k and they have flagged me as potential fraud. The investigator Vincent G. was ********* ******* ** * ***** **** ****** * **** provided what they asked for as proof of ownership and bank statements showing spending well over 100k... He's just looking for a reason to not pay me out it seems. They won't give me a timeliness or reason why this is still under investigation. 1 starMy mother died, I gave prof of death and they still took monthly insurance payments because there was no will. The fact I had proff she died and they still kept taking it know she was deceased is disgusting. I had to close her account to stop these vultures from taking a deceased person money. 1 starI received written confirmation from Intact that I would be insured while working in the US. After three weeks I was informed that there was a “glitch” in the system and that they were not able to insure me at all.

1 starTook ** ****** vehicle to Intact's shop to be fixed for hail damage (Aug. 2023). They fixed the hail damage, but made a mess of her vehicle. Scratches in 3 different spots, head liner full of greasy fingerprints , visors full of grease, headliner hanging down, tint missing on back window in spots, solvent all over the back seat cover, Back bumper full of deep scratches. Trying to get them to fix it is becoming a full time job. NOBODY is replying to ** ****** calls & messages. I took her vehicle back over to them ( ********* *** ** ******* ) and was actually laughed at by the shop super. **** **************. My next move is going to the news and hiring a lawyer to have these damages that they caused , fixed. ** **** *** even called the head office and was told it will be reviewed. What is there to review? Intact's shop did all the damages while repairing hail damage (I have pics dated for the morning we dropped vehicle off to prove all the damages) I even showed these pics to ******** shop super and he acknowledged that the damages were not on vehicle when we dropped it off to have hail damage fixed. **** ******* **** ********* *** ** **** ****** ** *** ** ***** ********** ********** *** **** ********* **** **** ******* ********* **** ** *** ****** ** **** *** **** ** ******* **** **** ********** I will push this matter until they fix the damages that they did to ** ****** vehicle.Review fromNicole P

1 starI just called my insurance broker and asked him to find another insurance provider. I had a very negative experience in 2020 the first year he switched me to Intact, and I never forgot.

1 star****** ** ******** **** ******* ********* My car got stolen few months a go and after a week I been told that claim is approved and someone will get hold of me and get compensation after 45 minute interrogation , that didn't happen after they find out that I had appraisal on my car and they actually require it from me to have it in case some think happen as the car was far from stock. I been interrogated 3 times with same question, basically been told that I have to cooperate or they will decline my claim, they also wanted me to sign a form that would strip me out of any sort of rights or possibility of going to court. I refused to sign, and they told me that they will decline my case, so I said do it!!! That never happened either. I been told today that it's going to drag by the person who interrogated it me. They are snooping around and even called *** **** **** who supposedly give them private information without my consent!!! There tactics are very dirty and unlawful, however they get away with it some how so far!!! I been literally treated as a thief. Very bad experience and not letting this go at any circumstances.Intact Insurance

1 starI have been a customer of intact for the past several years. I was in my first accident this January and there were a ton of issues from the start off. Intact gave me no direction to where to take my vehicle and due to moving I needed to handle it asap. Wasn’t able to reach anyone and when I got a shop that worked with this company they gave me their approval. When the work was not completed properly intact informed me they won’t honour their work and I’m on my own. At this point I am currently without a vehicle and have no means of fixing it. I have attempted to reach out to your company multiple times and even reached out to the customer service team and still have not received a response, and this was over a month ago.
This is an unreliable company who doesn’t care about their customer.
Please find a different company if looking for a new one, this company will not help you.
No one deserves to be left carless for almost a year with no means of getting things fixed when the insurance company approved the shop. No one deserves to be placed in the situation I am in.Intact Insurance
