    Ended my service with them and requested they send me a waybill and they never did, then they directly removed money from my bank account because the items weren't returned. They told me as soon as I provided proof that the items were mailed out they would issue my refund, a week later when I still had not received a refund I contacted them and they told me a different story that they couldn't issue a refund until the items were scanned in and even admitted that they had told me otherwise. When I explained this was unacceptable they tried to tell me the items were "damaged so I really don't want to go down this road because they can bill me for damages" so naturally I called their bluff and told them to mail the items back and they can keep the money, then the attitude changed and they told me they can't do that and they have issued the refund just now. So a full week went by and they didn't issue the refund until I called and had to get angry and nasty with them. Do yourselves a favor and go with another provider and they are owned by Telus and Koodo so I would avoid them also

    You did not do everything possible you told me one thing in an email and something completely different over the phone. Then when you did finally give me my refund you kept $19 of it for January even though I canceled. I will also add that this is a pre pay service so I am unsure how I could possibly owe you anything when I am required to pay upfront for my services

    Their internet is stable but the TV service is poor. Some channels (CBC Newsnet and CNN mostly) go off line for 30 to 60 minutes and I’m left with a black screen.

    We are always working on our TV service (and all of our services) to improve the way they function.

    IPTV has many layers of complexity over and above the regular (old school) Cable/satellite TV experience.

    We know that at times we have issues with the channels you mention, and we have monitoring in place to catch these issues and implement fixes for the streams when they do fail.

    No tv service is flawless, and we understand the frustration that it can cause, so we are always working towards ways for it to be as stable as it can be.

    We hope to have some fairly large steps made in the near future that will help, and promise you we will not stop trying to be better.

    I never even became a customer. I received a flyer in my mailbox about one week ago announcing Start.ca's "Autumn-atic" savings of 100 mbps unlimited internet at $39/month for 12 months. So, I phone them to sign up and an impolite salesperson tells me that this deal ended on October 11th. There is no time-limit written anywhere on the flyer and I received it in my mailbox after the deadline for this deal ostensibly expired. With unfair sales tactics like that, Start.ca surely isn't going to win new customers...

    I have been with Start.ca for 6 years and in that time, had only one issue which was fixed quickly.
    I have been upgraded in speed at no extra cost to me and I rarely have to for call tech support.
    When I do have to call tech support, I have never waited on hold for more than 5 minutes and the
    support staff were professional, more importantly they were helpful.
    Unfortunately the price has gone up considerably since I signed up but even so their price is still less expensive than the big companies and the service is just as good if not better.

    We lose a chanel's signal 3 or 4 times a day. Sometimes briefly and sometimes we have to change to another channel.

    Been long time start ca customer. I just changed my service to 100 mpbs because of the promo for new customer onky but gave it to me anyway. The switch happen within two hours the same day. Next day i receive a call to follow up on status. I was assisted by very helpful Technician she was very patience with checking my speed with start care .and my deco. It was 60 and now its goes between 85 after our call. She did explained that it maybe the interference because it not a depirect connection to the modem and to test by connecting a kaptop directly on the modem with a cable. I was going that but I was ok with that 84-85, but after testing again using google internet test. Got very happy because then its now 95-98 mpbs previously service runs had it at 22-25. I am so happy with their service. Keep it up start ca. appreciate the assistance with the set up. Thanks again.

    I watch start tv off and on all day long. At 11A after any day now you put on a show Providence that does not play so for one hour you have a blank place without a show to watch. So why don’t you put something on we can watch on that hour?

    Worse service ever!! They take your money and not provide the service you pay for.
    I went without internet for many months even tho they were still getting my money, told me to call back for credits once issues have been resolved, well they now say Nope, you get nothing!! Horrible service!!! don’t recommend!
    I wish I didn’t even have to leave 1 star, they don’t deserve it.

    We have reviewed the situation.

    There was intermittent connection issues that lasted around 4 months.

    During that time we worked with the customer (including addressing our equipment and their home network) and the infrastructure owner to get to a resolution.

    We did provide over $190 in service credits during the process, and from our understanding the technical issue were resolved months ago.

    We will be reaching out to see if there are still issues that we are not aware of that we can help with.

    I have been with Start.ca now for a couple of years and I am very happy with their service. I recently installed a wifi camera and I called them because I was having some difficulties with the camera staying connected. As it turned out, the camera was placed too far from the router so it was getting a strong enough signal. Long story short, they went through all the steps using their customer care app and we got the correct diagnosis of the problem and got the right solution. I have been very impressed with this company as they have always been genuinely interested in making sure I am a satisfied customer!
