    I received a letter from some entity calling itself API which I though was a fraudster due to its tone. After calling the company with which I had a service contract for my alarm system, ******** ******, I was told by them that their dqy to day operation had been done by A.P.I for some time, and they were now responsible for billing as well. Apparently an email was sent out advising its customers of the change. I never received it. It was probably sent to my wife's email which was discontinued after she died. My phone calls to API and email went unanswered except for receving another email similar to the first one. Their customer service is non-existent. I will be looking for a new provider.

    I have been trying for over a year to try and cancel this service. I have left voice messages. I have sent several emails and I have spoken to customer service personally. They keep saying that I have to wait for 30 days. I have done this for up to five months every month and I have received no response and they continue to withdraw my monthly payments. **** ******* ** ********* *** * ****** ********* ****** ** ***** ***** ******* ** *** ****** **** *** *******

    **** ******* ** ********. I called several times for a technician to assist me in setting it up as I bought the house with alarm on it. They want me to pay for that. Also the alarm kept on alarming its hard to contact them so we slept with alarm on. When I called them the next day they told me they will send technician but I have to pay. I said no I just need instruction to turn it off. They don't give instruction and told me they don't do that. I want it to cancel they want me to pay for the remaining years with their useless service

    I phoned API Alarms to cancel their monitoring of our alarm system effective April 30th, 2025. When I said that was my intention the person who answered the phone immediately said I must email the company, which I did, again mentioning that service should end on April 30th. At no point in either the telephone conversation, or the automated response to my email, was I told I needed to give them 30 days notice. As a matter of fact, they never responded apart from an automated email. So of course on May 1st, the monthly charge was pulled from my account. While they may be correct that 30 days is required, could they not have mentioned it, so I would not begin with the new company and have overlap of payment. * **** **** ****** ******** **********
