    I subscribed to FunctionFox for business use but found the platform unintuitive and unsuitable for my workflow needs. Despite paying more than $300 over approximately six months, the software was actively used for only about 14 days total.
    I had previously used FunctionFox around 2019, and the platform and cancellation process were significantly easier then. Unfortunately, my recent experience was completely different.
    The biggest issue was the cancellation and billing process. There was no self-service online cancellation despite this being an online SaaS platform. Cancellation required direct communication with billing staff, and I was later informed of a 60-day cancellation notice policy that was not clearly presented during signup or renewal.
    What should have been a simple cancellation turned into more than five days of repeated emails, billing disputes, attempted rebilling, and ongoing back-and-forth communications.
    Even after cancellation was processed, a refund was issued, and authorization for future charges was revoked,
    FunctionFox still attempted to charge my payment method again and issued another invoice.
    Rather than acknowledging legitimate customer concerns, the company repeatedly defaulted to a defensive “our policy is correct” position while minimizing the consumer experience.
    Although a refund was eventually issued, the overall handling of the matter reflected poorly on the company’s billing systems, cancellation procedures, and customer service approach.
    I strongly encourage prospective customers — especially U.S.-based businesses — to carefully review FunctionFox’s cancellation and renewal policies before subscribing.
