    They rip off old retired widowed women on a monthly pension. They don't take 3 months of preauthorized payments then boom month 4, they take all 4 payments at once. My grocery money for the month. They state they can miss a year of preauthorized withdrawls if they want to and can take it all at once. That was not the contract I thought I signed. I agreed to ***** monthly I did not agree to any amount being taken from my account any time they feel free to do so. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE THEY HAVE NO COMPASSION AND DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY.

    *********** As you are aware your payments came back NSF for 3 consecutive months. They then cleared. If you miss payments for XYZ on any contract, whether with us or any other company/ industry, you still owe the balance of those missed payments in addition to any future payments under your contract

    The system is okay, we like the doorbell camera and its a little cheaper than our last one. Now for my storyWhen the sales manager came to our door we told him we were not sure if we were still under a contract with our current security provider. He told us that if we were all we had to do was email our contract and capitol would not charge us until our old contract was up. I realize that we absolutely should have had this in writing but we trusted the sales manager as well as the multiple agents that we talked to about this, that told us the same thing. Two months later I was finally able to obtain our contract with the old security company and it turns out we are with them until June ****. My husband called to let an agent know at capitol that we finally received our contract from our other provider (with still being told capitol will cover payments till our other contract was up) the agent gave my husband an email address to email the contract to, we emailed it right away. The reply sorry, the contract you signed with us only gave you one month free We now are paying for two security systems. *** tried multiple times to get in contact with the sales manager and left a message for someone to get back to me and have heard nothing. Very unprofessional. I definitely take blame in this as well if its too good to be true, it probably is.

Additionally it looks like you were speaking with our monitoring partner Securitas, not us, wherein they stated "sorry, the contract you signed with us only gave you one month freeHappy to cover what you have remaining with your previous provider.Regards

    I too had an issue with Capitol Security (also known as ******* Security for some reason unbeknownst to me). Like a previous complaint - I had a salesman come to my door who knew that my current security company Vivant had been sold. He informed me that they were finished and that Capitol Security had been authorized to take over the Vivant accounts. I signed up for the new security system. This turned out to be an outright lie from the salesman. After I had signed up I discovered the deception. They agreed to give me 6 free months of service to make up for their slimy practices. Because I was told that my former company was no longer in operation I thought that the service would just transfer over and I would get my free months of service. I signed all the boxes in the contract. In small print was a statement that it was my responsibility to cancel my current service. Because i was lead to believe that ****** was defunct I didn't do that and because I am not a very good book keeper I did not realize that I was still being charged and monitored by ******. Was part of this my own fault for not reading the fine print - absolutely, but they could have informed me personally that I needed to cancel an account that I believed was gone. I had double coverage for 6 months. When I brought this to their attention they gave me the run around and refused to refer me to anybody else in the company in a higher position who might have listened to my story In fact two staff members were very rude to me and they made NO effort to hear me out. I will tell anyone to RUN if this company comes calling. They are shady and uncooperative. Stay FAR AWAY from this company!!! I would leave NO stars if I could!

    Hello ***********We apologize that you have had a negative experience but would like to address a few issues here:.1. We strongly disagree that you were given 6 months free to make up for 'slimy practices'. As the salesperson explain, you are required to honor your agreement with Vivint, which had 6 months remaining on that contract. Consequently our salesperson gave you 6 months free at the time of sale, not after, nor in consequence of you having been in any way misled.2. You were informed both verbally by the salesperson, and on a recorded call with our call centre staff, that you needed to contact your previous provider Vivint, to cancel your services with them. You signed a document which states:"I, the Customer, understand that it is my sole responsibility to cancel my monitoring and billing services with my current security provider in accordance with the Terms of my existing Monitoring Agreement.I, the Customer, understand that ********************** Representatives are unable to assist me in the process of my cancellation request due to Privacy Law and restrictions."3. You were not informed that ****** was 'defunct'. Vivint recently announced, as you are aware, that they were closing their operations in ****** and had sold all customers to ****** Our salesperson also provided you with a template to cancel your Vivint account. This would not have been the case had you not been informed.Ultimately we provided the correct amount of free months needed so that you were not double billed for the remainder of your contract with Vivint

    The salesperson gave misinformation on the takeover of Liberty, now they wont let me cancel. My contract with ******* had just ended after 5 years. I asked the representative if I would be locked into another contract (which I didn't want) and he said "no". Which is I guess correct. However, they said, that I could cancel the service at anytime, with no extra charge and no obligations. What they fail to tell you is; If you cancel, you still have to pay for the equipment installed at your home, which could amount to a large amount of money. Totally disgusted. Speaking with a customer representative name **** about the issue and she was obnoxious and no help. The tech that hooked the alarm system up, somehow made a snarl of everything and We ended up losing internet and phone services, for two days... **********

    We have been in contact extensively with this customer prior to this review being submitted. We have spoke with the salespeople (2) involved, and both stated that they conveyed the terms of the agreement very clearly to the customer, as well as the relevant provincial legislation which does in fact allow you to cancel your agreement at any time, though as explained you would have to pay out the remaining equipment balance if applicable.At no point did the salesperson provide any misinformation about the previous provider. After several calls and dozens of emails, this is the first vague reference we are hearing of the customer being misled and feel that this is being done to present the interaction with our sales team in a negative light. Finally, the alarm system installed is in no way whatsoever connected to the phone line, or internet. The claims that the system interfered with the phone and internet, allegedly 2 weeks after installation, are demonstrably false. For reference here is the user guide for the system, which is entirely dependent on its own GSM and SIM card: ********************************************************************************. This customer has repeatedly threatened to go to the BBB, **** MarketPlace, and the ************ if he didn't get his way. He has also engaged in abusive and insulting behaviour with our call center staff. We dispute the veracity of this review in the strongest possible terms

    They gave ** misinformation on the takeover of Liberty, now they wont let ** cancel, they said they were going to buy out my contract from Liberty and Liberty said there were no buy outs.

    Hi *******. We are sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience.As you are aware there seems to be an issue with wording. Liberty was sold to Garda World in 2021. For whatever reason they take issue with the phrase 'Liberty has been bought out'. From ******************* they prefer the same sentiment to be worded 'We are a subsidiary of GardaWorld - a leading provider of security solutions around the world.'Regarding your balance with your previous provider, if you switched to ** with time left on your original contract, we are happy to buy that out for you. All we do is send you a cheque for the amount, and you send it to Liberty, that's it. We simply need a copy of your contract with your previous provider, Liberty, once received we are happy to take care of the balance.If you could email your contract copy to ******************************* we can promptly resolve this for you.

    We recently switched to Capital security. ******* was very professional and pleasant, no pressure just facts. My friend told me about them and she was so impressed by the support they provided when she had a small problem that they resolved in short order. I strongly support their product and the Rep that visited my home.Happy customer *****

    I changed over to Capitol and I have no regrets the sales rep was amazing the technician as well . I also had to call the office quick to answer my questions. Ive had 4 different security systems over the years and Capitol is definitely number 1. I also recommended Capitol to my brother on the other side of ****** he also has had a terrific experience.I highly recommend Capitol security
