1 starThe company took me to court as I refused to pay for their services as the were rendered in a questionable circumstance.Anyhow a judgment was made and paid in full by myself.A month later I received a bill to pay the outstanding balance. When I phoned their front desk the woman argued with me that the payment was never *********** I contacted my financial institution and received confirmation that the payment went through.A couple of days later I received an email that it was an error in their system and the account has been paid in full and is now closed.But guess what I am still receiving statements re outstanding balances,How can a normal person fight this crooked company???Any insight would be helpful at this point!!!!Review fromNorm W

1 starThese people came, uninvited, to my residence and said they were there to upgrade the system already I had with Liberty Security. Then it was Capital had taken over Liberty Security's business's in this area, then installed their system and sent documents to be signed, via email which were already signed!! On top of that said they would buy out my contract with *******, hasn't been done. Their customer service **** are total, with lack of a better word not printable, are now saying they are going to sue me. Can't believe after reading the complaints on this page that they have an 'A' rating.' F' in my book. These people are ****** and need to be stopped, what they have done to me is fraud .Capitol Security

Mr Lore, has repeatedly engaged in dishonest behaviour in an effort to ****** Capitol.
Mr Lore was emailed his contract to sign, to the very same email he used to file this review. He signed the agreement digitally by opening his email, reading the contract, signing it, and returning the agreement. This was done using pandadoc. He later claimed that we somehow forged his signature (even though the digital signature certificate embedded in the document is linked to his email address, and the attached IP address is registered to his home address). Additionally he claimed that because the contract copy was emailed to him, and not in his docusign account (an entirely different platform that we do not use) this was somehow evidence of forgery.
Mr Lore also alleged that he was somehow deceived into switching companies. Mr Lore switched to Capitol from Liberty Security. When he signed up with us he signed a document which states:
I, the Customer, acknowledge that the Capitol Sales Representative has clarified that my current
security provider is not bankrupt, has not ceased to monitor my account, that Capitol has not bought my account from my previous provider, that Capitol has not bought my previous provider, that Capitol is not 'taking over' for my previous provider, and that Capitol is not and has not in any way been contracted by my previous provider. I understand that I am choosing to terminate service with my current security provider and that I am choosing to switch to Capitol for both billing and monitoring services
He then verbally confirmed the same on a post installation recorded call.
Since inception Mr Lore has gone out of his way to be obstinate, difficult, and dishonest. He has claimed via email:
- that his signature was forged, though he verbally acknowledged in a recorded call that he signed the agreement, in addition to the aforementioned info contained in our response here.
- that his name is not 'jackson lore', though he again confirmed this on a recorded call, and uses the same name in his email signature, as well as his public interactions (see cbc article)
- that the system was never installed, though he contradicts this claim in this review
- that the 'woman who was here' confirmed his narration of events (though the salesperson was male, as was the technician), and the salesperson strongly disagreed with Mr Lore's version of events
- that Capitol wrecked his router, phone line, and internet during installation, though his system is neither hooked up to nor integrated with any of these devices
- that he had moved to South America and needed the system cancelled immediately
Additionally several months after installation Mr Lore made us aware that he had a balance remaining with Liberty Security. Though his account was already in arrears with both Capitol and Liberty at that time, we offered to cut him a cheque if he agreed to bring the account current upon receipt of funds. Mr Lore deposited the cheque, did not pay his debts to Liberty, and did not bring his account current with Capitol.
Mr Lore has repeatedly demonstrated a pattern of threats and dishonesty in an attempt to get his way. Recently he demanded that we give him almost $1000 (again) to pay his debts to Liberty, threatening that if we did not- he would 'go to the BBB'. And here we are.

1 starTheir commitment too fixing their equipment is ridiculous. A useless company to deal with. Lies upon lies with this company. They say they are going to have someone to come out and look at it but never show up. Try phoning them line is now always busy. Don't deal with these people it's a scam.Review fromRobert M

*************** The terms of your agreement were signed by you, you then verbally agreed to the exact same terms when read aloud on a recorded line. The nature of your complaint is that you refuse to pay for the service call you are requesting, after you disconnected your cameras from your wifi. The issue is not that we will not service, it's that you refuse to pay for a service call that you directly caused.You then threatened that you would leave us a nasty BBB review if we didn't do the service for free, and here we are. Since that time you have been verbally abusive to our staff, most recently screaming that our staff are "useless f****s" and threatening to hire a lawyer over a $75 service fee you don't want to pay for. 1 starI know of a senior residing in ********* was told the same thing, her previous service provider was shutting down. Needless to say, she signed up with your company. Since February she had made several attempts to get in contact for service, to sadly no avail! Her system just randomly goes off stating front door opened, to which she has been frantically woken to, and stood in front of the closed door as this happened!! VERY POOR customer service!! How can customers even feel safe if the provider don't reply to various means of contact, even the times the alarm does goes off by itself, YOU DON'T CALL TO CHECK UP!!! Disgusting! 1 starThis company was going around ************ telling people they took over for vivint and customers were clearly targeted based on vivint signs around their homes (which they did not ***** actually did). They were (maybe still are) convincing people to sign new contracts as its needed but dont worry you get xxxx but again none of this is in the final contract. Tons of red flags here but they are focusing on scamming older people who do not know better. The contracts were actually with a company called securitas technology (capital security is clearly a dealer). The contracts were done digitally and eventually emailed to customers but when my parents received the contract there was a page filled with their digital initials that they had never seen which clearly states capitol security are not with *****/vivint and customer is aware they are signing a new contract and need to cancel with *****/vivint. My parents would have read that and questioned it but they were never shown that paper. Its also questionable whether the final contact was altered as my mom states there is a section about the 5 year term she never initialed either. I have spoken about this with ***** as it sounds very illegal. Not sure what they will do about it maybe nothing. Unfortunately my parents are likely unable to get out of the new securitas contract and will have to pay out the remainder of *****/vivint. Beware of this company and dont sign anything digital or review the final emailed contracts before the sales rep leaves your home.Capitol Security

This review was published by an individual whose parents had previously switched to Capitol from Vivint/ Telus. The individual did was not present at time of sale to witness the allegations made, nor had she contacted our office at any point to inquire. The actual customer in question signed a form at time of sale which states:I, the Customer, understand that ********************** is in no way associated with my current security provider Vivint/ TELUS for alarm monitoring, billing, and technical services. I understand that I am switching my security services away from my current provider to Capitol, and acknowledge and understand that I am switching security providers by signing up with Capitol.I, the Customer, understand that I am completing a Competitor Switch-Over which is defined as transferring my monitoring and billing services from my existing provider to Capitol.I, the Customer, understand that it is my sole responsibility to cancel my monitoring and billing services with my current security provider in accordance with the Terms of my existing Monitoring Agreement.I, the Customer, understand that ********************** Representatives are unable to assist me in the process of my cancellation request due to Privacy Law and restrictions.I, the Customer, acknowledge that the ********************** Sales Representative has clarified that my current security provider is not bankrupt, has not ceased to monitor my account, that ********************** has not bought my account from my previous provider, that Capitol has not bought my previous provider, that Capitol is not 'taking over' for my previous provider, and that Capitol is not and has not in any way been contracted by my previous provider. I understand that I am choosing to terminate service with my current security provider and that I am choosing to switch to Capitol for both billing and monitoring services.After signing the aforementioned, the customer completed a recorded welcome survey with our office. During the call our staff read out the aforementioned and ask the customer to verbally confirm each point, which they did.We have been in contact with the person who left this review since we received it. We shared with her the recorded welcome call as well as the signed documents which categorically disprove the allegations made in this review. The reviewer expressed that it was her desire to 'warn people' even though she was not present, nor was a witness in any way to what transpired. We have conveyed to the reviewer that in context of the signed documents and recorded calls, which directly contradict her claims, that we believe the review posted her is highly defamatory.
