      Extremely poor service now - no follow through, they just bounce you from one advisor to another because none of them want to do anything.

      0 Stars!H&R Block doesn't have anywhere to fine a complaint or to help you if one of their "tax professionals" makes huge mistakes in your filing and then won't return calls or email you back. This is the most unprofessional and incompetent company I have ever dealt with regarding something as serious as your taxes. I used JH&R block for years, when I moved out of country I was told "we can still do your taxes, just come to Canada and we will file for you".... BIG MISTAKE! They claim to be able to do your taxes cross border and believe me, they cannot and then when you're back in your country of residence, you cannot even call H&R Block for am help to resolve the issues they created. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, spend a little more and have a CPA do it.

      Not confident that my filing was correct. I just received a notice from *** regarding my GST (see below) and sent a message online and did not hear back. Today I called and was on hold for 1/2 an hour and nobody answered the phone. I thought I paid for expertise, but clearly did not get it. What am I supposed to do now? I used to have an Account file my taxes, I think I would rather pay more to get it done correctly. This is terrible service. The *** cannot calculate the amount you may be entitled to receive for all periods because the necessary information has not been received. If you provide the information requested in the Explanation section, it will be processed and you will be notified if you are entitled.

      MD at the ************* location has once again provided the utmost customer service with his professionalism and knowledge. We are return clients of many years and MD has not wavered in his excellent service. Thank you! And.see you next year!

      I had the worst experience filing with this company ******************* on ************). My appointment was at 6pm and I didnt get to see someone until 7:30. An hour and a half of my time gone. In that hour an a half I was completely ignored to the point where I had to get up and ask how much longer. I am pretty sure walk ins were seen before me, so what did I book an appointment for? When it came to filing I was barely asked any questions for things to claim. Then the girl doing my taxes said it would cost me $149 to file with them!! She couldnt tell me where on the website it said that anywhere. I argued this because of my hour and a half wait but was told it was what it was. Then when I went to pay at the front desk I was only charged $103. Makes me feel like I was ******* because when you ****** what a simple T4 return costs it says $49. On top of it this office was gross, with an employee constantly going out for smokes and smelling like it when he came back. I will never in my life file with this **** of a company ever again.

      There isnt a lot of knowledge coming from the staff. The person doing our taxes was insulting. I would have been better off filing myself. Their bar is low. Never again.

      Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had.. The tax person or whatever qualifications she had, which were probably a 2hr course, messed up my return.. She had absolutely no idea what she was doing and asked me what to put in the amount boxes on her computer.. After I told her I bought a house she did not have a clue that it is a tax write off I then called them and went back after feeling like she messed up the whole thing, with my land title to adjust the assessment..Next day I called to make sure they did it, NO SHE HAD NOT!! She said she'll get to it and reminded me she giving me a free tax filing next year.. As if I'm going back!!I checked my CRA 2 weeks later and the initial assessment is there but the reassessment it's still NOT submitted!!! This place is a joke!! Do not go there! ************ office on *********

      Not impressed with the new system of giving out a pre-paid credit card instead of cheques for instant returns.We were not informed of all the charges when using the card.Feel like we were scammed.

      I know we all dread tax time because for me anyway, usually I have to pay them.BUT My goal is to have my taxes done by the best so ****** isn't sending me a notice that differs from the one my tax advisor has prepared for me.And my person and office for this is ********************* in the Bloor St West and ********************** and her group are the best and I have relied on their services for years.They are professional, welcoming, understanding of my angst about taxes, and finding a way to try to make me understand any confusion, questions, missing items, or what is and what isn't deductible and why. Even after the fact, if there are any inconsistencies, ***** insists on me bringing it back to her and she will rectify or sort any discrepancies with ****** or **** trust ***** and her group in that office. I know the work is to the dime. I know they know what they are doing. And I feel she will use her expertise to find the best return for me. I cannot say that for many of the other H&R Block offices. And I have gone to a few.I met ***** in a dispute for one of my H&R Block returns and have gone to her exclusively since.I highly respect ************************* work and expertise in every aspect of tax preparation and filing.
