Better Business Bureau Great West + Pacific (BBBGWP) announced five Oregon businesses as winners of the 2023 Torch Awards for Ethics.

Paris Group Realty LLC – Medium Business of the Year
Bliss Roofing Inc – Large Business of the Year
John's Waterproofing Company – Large Business of the Year
The Torch Awards for Ethics is the most prestigious honor BBBGWP bestows on businesses operating within its eight-state service area. Winners must demonstrate a high level of personal character, meet the highest standards of ethics, and build trust with their customers and the community. This year, two finalists for Small Business of the Year and two finalists for Large Business of the Year received the same grade from an independent panel of judges. This results in giving recognition to both companies in the respective categories.

BBBGWP received 226 submissions for the Torch Award for Ethics. For the application and judging process, each organization considered was asked to supply responses to prompts. These prompts focused on their team’s character, culture, customer engagement, and community involvement.
Meticulous Plumbing, established in 2009 in Portland, OR, is a family-owned business that provides both residential and commercial plumbing services.
Hiddenbed of Oregon, established in 2011 in Mount Angel, OR, is a family-owned business that specializes in providing space-saving wall beds, cabinet beds, and multi-functional desk beds in the mid-Willamette Valley and beyond.
Paris Group Realty LLC, established in 2004 in Portland, OR, is a full-service real estate agency. Specializations include first-time homebuyers, short sales, relocation, single-family homes, listing agent, and buyer's agent.
Bliss Roofing Inc, established in 1969 in Clackamas, OR, is a second-generation family owned roofing business built on over 50-years of referrals and satisfied customers. Bliss Roofing specializes in pitched residential roofing in Oregon & SW Washington.
John's Waterproofing Company, established in 1974 in Silverton, OR, is a family-owned business specializing in basement waterproofing, crawl space repair, and seismic retrofitting.
