Better Business Bureau Great West + Pacific (BBBGW+P) announces the appointment of Dan Newman to its esteemed board of directors. There are 18 board members across BBBGW+P’s eight-state service area, including Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Western Wyoming, and Central Colorado.
Dan Newman, CEO, founder, and auctioneer of Alaska Premier Auctions and Appraisals LLC, is a certified auctioneer, personal property appraiser, marketer, networker, and community volunteer.

Since 2010, Newman has served in multiple roles as president of BNI Alaska Business Pipeline Chapter, president of the Anchorage South Rotary Club, State of Alaska Ambassador for the National Auction Association, the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation's Choose Anchorage leadership committee, and board chair-elect for the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce. Newman’s business was also awarded the 2020 BBB Spark Award and the 2021 BBB Torch Award for Ethics.
“I bring the perspective of founding a six-year-old BIPOC-owned full-service auction house services business with a staff of 40-plus full-time employees,” said Newman. “I’m interested in further developing my understanding of all the different benefits BBB provides and learning more in-depth details about what BBB has to offer its members so I can continue to be a good ambassador for the brand.”
