Better Business Bureau Great West + Pacific today announced S.M.C Auto Works LLC of Portland, OR, the recipient of its 2023 Spark Award for Entrepreneurship in Oregon.
The Spark Awards honors exceptional local businesses that have been operating for three years or less and entrepreneurs aged 35 or younger.
“We are excited to congratulate S.M.C. Auto Works on receiving the 2023 Spark Award for Entrepreneurship in Oregon,” said Tyler Andrew, president and CEO of BBB Great West + Pacific. “This award was created to highlight new businesses making a difference in their community, and Stephen Rozzell is a standout example of this important work.”
S.M.C. Auto Works was selected by an independent panel of judges based on the company’s commitment to ethical practices and building trust in the marketplace.
“Currently we sponsor a local high school’s athletic department, we donate food about once a month to our local food bank, and we donate clothes and other items to women’s shelters and family shelters,” said Stephen Rozzell, CEO of S.M.C. Auto Works. He added, “One thing we pride ourselves on is being in a place to give (deeply) discounted rates to those struggling and needing an auto repair service, because these people need their vehicles repaired too, and most repair shops just won’t give a discount or even work with someone on payments.”
