Better Business Bureau Great West + Pacific today announced Three Little Ducks of Kailua, HI, the recipient of its 2023 Spark Award for Entrepreneurship in Hawaii.
The Spark Awards honors exceptional local businesses operating for three years or less and entrepreneurs aged 35 or younger.
“We are excited to congratulate Three Little Ducks on receiving the 2023 Spark Award for Entrepreneurship in Hawaii,” said Tyler Andrew, president and CEO of BBB Great West + Pacific. “This award was created to highlight new businesses making a difference in their community, and Suma Metla and her team are standout examples of this important work.”
Three Little Ducks was selected by an independent panel of judges based on the company’s commitment to building a community of parents and their children and fostering development during an important time of a baby’s life.
“I created “Little Duck and Me” Baby Classes for families with babies 3 to 12 months old. Parents and babies get the opportunity to socialize, learn important skills to practice at home, and most importantly, build a stronger bond with one another,” said Abigail Harris, a Pediatric Occupational Therapist with Three Little Ducks. She added, “We become an ‘ohana, which in Hawai’i, is a very powerful force. Our baby classes have allowed parents to make long-lasting connections with other parents and offer support to one another as they navigate the new world of parenthood. Seeing the impact these classes have had on families has been very rewarding and is the best part about what I do.”
