About ready to discontinue use of my GM credit card. I have had the worst experience since switching from capitolone. I have always had auto payment set up and pay the full statement balance every billing cycle. Went in and made an early payment for about half of my balance. This shut off my autobilling so the rest of the money was not collected and then I was charged interest. I have been going back and forth with customer service for almost 2 months and today someone told me that I get notified that my auto payment was turned off on my next statement**** well that's to late in my opinion. I have never missed a credit card payment especially when the credit card company is responsible for taking the money on their own. I guess this is just a way to make money where they can. When I talked to someone two weeks ago a dispute was supposed to be filed. Today I get a call and the rep explains to me why interest was charged**** LIKE I DON"T ALREADY KNOW. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she let me know she doesn't have one**** Absolutely fed up with this company

Marcus is by far the worst bank I have ever dealt with in terms of speed of processing and lack of transparency. It has been over a month since we submitted requested beneficiary documentation to transfer funds to non-Marcus accounts and, in spite of already having received notification of the account closures, it appears that it will take another 4 to 5 weeks (in addition to the 6+/- weeks it has already taken) to "verify beneficiaries". They refuse to divulge what the verification process is nor why it will take over 8 weeks to complete the process. The Marcus staff that I have spoken with are all professional and courteous. However, the internal procedures of the bank are all "secrete" - ie: slow and inefficient with no accountability by comparison to other banks that we have experience with on the very same issue. Marcus may have an A+ BBB rating but in my experience they are well below average in meeting even minimal expectations a reasonable person would have for a large bank.

The worst you cannot imagine. I had bad experience over years, now the last one was so off based. I closed out the saving account and they refused to send me the check just because I told them to update my cell number. Over years, they did so many odd things to mess up my accounts, range from change my mature date on CD to make it longer to no grace ******* Their so called' grace ****** equals none and will not allow me to change. This is one bandit bank.

THIS COMPANY IS SCAMMING CUSTOMERS!!! I've had my card for over 15 years without ANY issues. No late fees, No problems. Payments on auto pay. They took the minimum due monthly without a problem then suddenly one month the total balance was taken. I contacted them because it's been fine and I didn't authorize that. I don't check the card because it's auto deducted. They told me that I did authorize it but refunded my money and I immediately went online and made the payment. They charged me a late fee even though it was their system that screwed up. This has happened twice. I can't be the only one that's having problems with them taking over. It seems like their objective is to create issues with your card that will create FEES! I'm done so I paid the total balance yesterday and left one $8.50 monthly bill on it. All these reviews seem to be about errors on their part to create FEES! This is my oldest card so I want it on my credit report. I will be canceling the card in the upcoming year. Having it is to stressful and if they couldn't handle GM *********** services they shouldn't have purchased it. SCAMMING FEES!!...SCAMMING FEES!!...SCAMMING FEES!!

Closed my account for no reason. At all. It's an error on their end and would resolve they said. Still hasn't been cleared up. Not impressed with their business at all.

GM should be embarrassed that they moved this card from *********** to Marcus by Goldman Sachs. It has been one nightmare after another. I have had the card for almost 30 years. Today I used the card to charge my cable bill and electric bill online. I have virtually no balance on the card. The card was declined..so I re-inputted all the card info and it looks like the charges went through...Then I start getting emails regarding these charges...Do I really want them to go through Press yes or no. I am getting multiple emails for the same charges, so not sure how to answer. Will my charges be duplicated if I answer yes? Almost with out fail, if I use this card some place, the first time it is inserted the card is declined and then after several attempts it goes through..Avoid Marcus by all means. They are in way over their heads here. Totally incompetent people...This rollout from Capital to Marcus has been a f up since the beginning.........and you can quote me on that..

Wanted to transfer money out, not without verifying on the phone with the bank I wanted to transfer it to. Needed to verify that I was who I say I am and that I owned the account I was transferring it to. They needed no verification to take money out! On top of all else, I called 5 times before I could get thru. Was put on hold for 4 times, and disconnected. Had to start all over, and this includes being on hold for 20 to 30 minutes each time. Not a way to run any business, especially a bank. I will be moving everything out of this account and transferring elsewhere. I suggest you avoid this outfit no matter what. Whether they pay 3% or 300% it doesn't matter if you have to jump thru hoops to get your money. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!! Even if it means putting your money in a ***** Jar in the back yard!

Have the same problem as ************ review below. I have been a ** Card holder for close to 30 years. The ** Card has been transferred between several banks throughout the years, but never have I had such a bad experience as I am having now. Goldman Sachs Marcus does not seem to be able to send my bill to my current address. Interestingly enough, when we first transferred over from *********** everything initially was okay. Then we moved. We went through a process to change our address that seemed a bit cumbersome, but it worked for about 4 or 5 months. Then my bills started reverting back to my old address (for the last 3 to 4 months). I have called in several times and have spoken with Goldman Sachs call center supervisors. According to the Goldman Sachs Marcus call center it appears that everything should be going to my current address, but it doesn't. The Goldman Sachs Marcus call center cannot see that the statement goes to the wrong address until after the statement is generated and mailed. They have no status on the tech tickets they have submitted about the problem. The call center told me that a lot of ** Card holders that came over from *********** are having this problem and currently there is no known solution. They also will ***** no wiggle room on late payments because of their problem! This reflects badly on both Goldman Sachs Marcus and **. I have bought many new vehicles from ** where I have applied ** Card earnings throughout the years. I told Goldman Sachs Marcus if they cannot get this fixed by my next statement, I intend to cancel my ** Card. By the way, my wife has her own seperate ** Card account and has the same problem. This will be two lost customers for both Goldman Sachs Marcus and **. The whole experience is frightening given that a company that manages financial information cannot correct this problem! You would think this would be a top priority.

Agree with the comments - since the take over by Goldman Sachs it has been a nightmare. Never ever had any problems over the pat 30+ years. Took four days to resolve my current problem. What was GM thinking? I am seriously thinking of dropping this card - the rebate is not worth the aggravation. **************

My bank got bought by another and Marcus had issues communicating with the bank. They penalized me for it and refused to remove the fees once I fixed the situation for them. I did this by contacting a different credit card company; asking why they had no issue. They gave me the solution and it worked. I tried to reason with them and I was effectively told that it wasn't their problem and they will not remove the fees. So I will be closing out my account with them. Years I had the card, no problems, and one problem out of my control and they want to hit me with $100+ in fees. Clearly, they do not want my money any longer.
