So let me start off with saying I chose to open the credit card service through Marcus by Goldman Sachs and by far this is the worst experience with a credit card company I have ever had. I was shopping for things for my work and I was in the store just to have my transactions decline, embarrassing nonetheless. I called in and verify the transactions and did the necessary protocol to have my card turned on. I proceed to the shop for more items for my work and then just to have them stop my card again only this time when I call in to complain they are telling me that they have my account under review and that I will not be able to use my credit line until that review is done. As a new customer I believe that is really bad business practice and a bad way to gain customers trust in the company why would I open a credit card just to have them tell me I can't spend the credit. GM needs to work on this issue, poor customer service and bad business practice.

I opened up an Rate Bump CD with Marcus Goldman Sachs. It stated that you have a one time option of bumping the interest rate to the highest rate at the time. However they raised the rate less than what they had on other offers. They were misleading in their offer and I dont recommend banking with them. T.H

I have been with this card since ****and I have never had such poor service as I have had with CM Marcus. This past summer I signed up for their autopay to ensure my monthly payments were made on time. The first month they took money from my account to pay the entire balance! I called and was assured by a manager that my money would be returned. It NEVER was. This company has zero integrity!

Talk Small Business? What a hypocrite. Our cranberry operation recently had our GM business credit card moved to Goldman Sachs Bank. The difference in customer experience is incredible! It is easy to describe Goldman Sachs Card customer service in one word: NON-EXISTANT. From zero pay at the pump refueling options to online parts and other essential business purchases, using the Goldman Sachs card is consistently a time-consuming nightmare, where the card user begins to feel like the card issuer does NOT trust them! The level of small and medium business corporate efficiency is certainly negatively affected when the financial partner is a non-cooperative as Goldman Sachs is with us. We have no explanation for Goldman Sachss behavior, but at least it is consistentrude and ridiculous! We will be shopping for other business card options!

Opened a savings account to save money to purchase a house. When the time came to wire money to the title company to purchase our house the rep on the phone refused to facilitate the transfer saying it did not meet their requirements. They would not disclose the requirements instead only transfer the money to another linked account knowing I need to send the money to the title company in the next 24 hours. I requested all my money be transferred and to close the account, since they rather get in the way of someone purchasing their first home then help them with an already stressful process.

I have been a GMcard member since ****. I have never had an issue up until the card was taken over by Goldman Sachs/Marcus. Since this time I have had to call them twice to remove late fees that were due to their late processing of payments. I had tracking information proving payments were received on time but they were just not processed in a timely manner. GS/Marcus would not reverse the last fees so I will no longer use the card just for the billing hassles it creates.

Marcus by Goldman Sachs is the worst credit card company I've ever dealt with. Be careful if you have reward points; you may not be able to use all of them towards your next vehicle purchase. I was told when the card switched from *********** to Goldman Sachs that I would be able to redeem all of my points when I purchased a vehicle. Then, when I had gone to purchase one, I was told I could not use all of my points. There advertising is deceptive. Although the last 6 cars i purchased where GM, I will not purchase another one, and GM lost the sale on my recent car purchase and I cancelled the card. Shame on Marcus Goldman Sachs.

*** applied for a personal credit card from Marcus main reason is its a GM credit card but the system or the people they use to verify applications are either not human or they just 100% incompetent upon submitting my application I received an email saying I was approve but needed to be ************** I had a real hard time uploading my Identification the system they use turn the ** into a cartoon type picture so I called in spoke with a rep who advised that I take a bright picture after countless tries both front and back pics were accepted so 2 weeks later I never received the card I called back in I was told my account was closed for verification purposes now that was the first lie.since Im also a business owner with a NAV account statistic shows a 97% chance of getting a Marcus business credit card so I applied also said approve show the amount approved for but needed verification I uploaded my ** again as expected 24 hours later I received an email stated my application was not approved reason UNABLE TO VERIFY **ENTIFICATION information lol how professional I guess they probably was expecting a white face on that ** card so since its a colored one they reversed their decisions and after reading all the bad reviews Im totally happy about their decision I have no room for any type of negativity in my precious life so thank you guys lol.

From the very beginning the transfer was sloppy, starting by having difficulty in accessing the account. After the unwanted transition from *********** over to Marcus by ****** Sachs (GM credit card), I had attempted making payments and thought my payments were going through online, but they did not, MGS did not copy over the information (from ***********, for online transactions) correctly or something of that nature, as I later found out by getting hit by late fees, which I disputed but they did not resolve. They also did not resolve my ability to ***************.I ended up having to dig for their address to send a check instead. Even after I paid off the late fees they hit me with, in full, there was another small amount of debit of about $0.85 that I would have to pay. Again I had to waste a stamp and a check to ensure that they would not hit me with another $40 late fee charge. Now it shows up as an overage. But they got their free money out of me, I guess that's all that matters, for these type of businesses, that operate in a legal gray area. This one should go out of business for shady business practices. We need business that aren't shady.*********** at least was not this unscrupulous and I preferred having my account with them.

Marcus does not have anyone that can resolve issues whenever theres a glitch in the system. I referred a customer by copying and sending a link. The bonus point did not go through, so I received 10-digit code and referral called in to Marcus. They said everything was good but still no bonus point. Called at least 5 times to get my bonus point as well as a bonus point for my referral. But due to my referral getting a referral before resolved, they said theres no way that we would receive credit, although there was an issue with the system, and due to no fault of both customers doing what the website and employee says to do. This online bank has no quality customer service!
