STAY AWAY from this bank! You have been warned. I read about online only high-interest savings accounts and decided to open an account with Marcus. I transferred ALL of my emergency savings into the account, and now I cannot access it. (BREAK) For months I was using their iPad App to logon and verify my balance. I do that weekly for every account I have everywhere. And then, sometime in August or at the beginning of October, login failed. Trying to logon using a WEB browser informed me my account had been locked. I called as directed, was informed that my account was not locked, and then the agent proceeded to walk me through a password reset. I was then able to logon, change my password. BUT, the next time I tried to logon, my account was again locked. Password reset no longer works. (BREAK) So for months now, I have been unable to access my account and emergency savings. No statements. No ****. I tried to transfer funds out of the account and Marcus refused the transfer, and that is after I had called them to confirm that I had made the request. (BREAK) Since then, I've been trying to close the account. I've been put on infinite hold, told that the computer was down, and another agent said that the software was being updated. For 3 months? This bank is BS! I've filed a complaint with the ************************************ and I have no doubt Marcus will ignore that or lie about how they handled it. (BREAK) I wish I had checked here before opening an account with Marcus. Now my emergency funds are stuck and I cannot access them. My next complaint is going to ****, WSJ, NY Times, **************** (BREAK) You have been warned. STAY AWAY from this 'bank'.

After two days my request to wire some of my funds to Navy Federal was denied by Marcus and Marcus insisted my funds be wired back to bank of origin. No logical reason was obtainable. Worst financial treatment I have ever received including at least 3 hours being placed on hold.

Goldman Sachs Bank took over my GM rewards ********** had trouble with them ever since. Every time I paid the balance they sent me another bill because there was additional interest. This happened a couple times. I finally paid them a larger amount to make sure the additional interest was covered. In the meantime, they did send me a letter apologizing for the error. Then I received a couple bills with a statement balance of -$60.33. I assumed they wouldve send me a refund, since I had no credit on the card because my wife rejected their higher interest rate years ago. My last bill from them was September 08, 2022. After waiting a few months, I called them. I was told I would get a refund, but it would take awhile. Here it is February 2nd. Will they give me interest or anything?

Beware of Goldman Sacs - My complaint is very similar to the many I have read both here and on other social media platforms. I opened a ****************** account in early December 22 with a substantial amount. Within a week I asked for a small portion to be transferred to another account and they locked my account for over a month. Numerous long calls did not help unlock my account - excuse after excuse, security concerns even after giving them all the security pins and secret passwords. Then they asked I notarize an Affidavit of Identity form which I did and mailed to them on 1/10/23. I called on the 17th and they confirmed receipt but since under review could not unlock my account and asked to call back after 3 more business days which I did and was still under review - what is there to review if notarized. Involving an Attorney got me my money back and account closed. If they would have just transferred my original amount when I first requested it, i would still have been a customer with them. My experience in the last two months with them endorses Goldman's long standing reputation of wrong doings. I have since filed a complaint with FTC and CPFB and now seek to take my story to press/media - so that these guys stop this c*** and mainly so that others are aware and do not fall in the same pit as people who have including me. STAY AWAY FROM GOLDMAN - THIRD WORLD BANKING AT BEST -THERE ARE SO MANY BETTER COMPANIES TO DEAL WITH HERE IN *******. Would def partake in a class action lawsuit if one were bought - I have everything documented including names and calls etc.

Called Marcus on Jan. 9., 13., 17., 21., and today with 3 different people .Told me I would get a return call from a supervisor .Still waiting .The absolute worst service and trying to scam customers out of interest for as long as possible with all kind of angles . NEVER AGAIN MARCUS !Stay away from this bank ! They take your money with a smile and refuse to give you the matured CD on time. Terrible experience.

My experience with dealing with Goldman Sachs credit card has been abysmal. A $29 charge is now up to a $139.97. The charge is being disputed Since they took over from Chase yet they continue to add interest. Their **************** says they will take care of it yet I continue to get 4 to 5 emails every day. They had the audacity to contact a credit rating company. I have had credit cards for 54 years And have had perfect credit. I will not be paying the $29 nor will I be paying the additional $139.97 interest. How can a big company just discredit Your credit name and harass you with emails after I have called them at least 20 times And explain to them where they are making a mistake. The hours I have spent in addition to the hours of their employees is presently on a negative Line. But when it comes to negative lines Marcus seems to have a good handle on that. Thank God my savings is not with them. *** D ************

Let me warn you - getting money into Marcus Bank is extremely easy - in my case purchasing a joint account, one year CD. However getting your money out and in my case having the funds sent to the same account the funds came out of was a nightmare. Oh! And if you get the line "Let us check out what the problem is and we will call you back." You're not going to receive a call - at least we didn't receive one. We waited 4 days and finally we called and recalled Marcus and finally (after a 42 minute phone call) had someone assist us. In this call they asked if our accont we wanted the money sent to had been open for 90 days. It was a 1 year CD being funded back to the same account we sent the money from! I think one would realize the obviousness of that. Also we found out that while we opened a joint account (for FDIC insurance reasons) they had our account as a single owner account. This could have disastrous should we have tried to execute on FDIC'S Insurance. So don't listen to the marketing messaging. My advice? As an old movie states "Run Forest Run." We have dealt with a multitude of banking institutions in purchasing CDs and many have better rates and far better service.

I phoned Marcus on 12/30/2022 to close my Marcus CD which expired on 1/14/2023, and I provided them with the name of the bank and account & routing number I wanted those funds of almost $259K to be deposited into. I was told that the *** or wire transfer should reach my new account the same (i.e. 1/17/23 because 1/14/23 was on the weekend and 1/16/23 was a bank holiday) as the expiration date of my CD. When I checked my account on 1/17/23 and found that the funds had not been deposited, I called Marcus only to find out that the wire transfer can take 1-3 business days. This time frame absolutely was not conveyed to me when I contacted them on 12/30/22 to close my account. I spoke to ****, a supervisor at Marcus, and she stated she would try to expedite the transfer request because there were other transfers in the cue ahead of mine. First, Marcus knew of this transfer on 12/30/22 (18 days before the transfer was to occur), and now they're telling me there were other transfers taking place on 1/17/23 ahead of mine! What bull***t! Second, when I initially transferred those funds to Marcus from **************** those funds were wire transferred to Marcus the same day of my request. Clearly, Marcus by Goldman Sachs represents an institutional bunch of thieves, stealing interest from their customers by lying to them on the amount of time it takes to wire funds, so they can continue to get interest on the balances of those funds. I will NEVER do business with this company ever again!

MG APPLE CARD-my entire acct/email was stolen in Oct **************************** full at time of closing. Yet I continue to receive notices in the mail stating that I owe money. I cannot and have not been able to even access that email acct since Oct 22. In addition, Credit Karma shows that my acct. was closed. I have written and spoken to SEVERAL representatives that continue each and every time to tell me that this will not happen again. January 23...just received a new bill for $45.00. My acct is and has been closed.

My 83 year old mother purchased a CD from them at the recommendation of a financial advisor. When the maturity date approached she did everything required to get her money back, but they refused to send her the money. Then they issued a new CD and told her she would have to pay a penalty to get her money. The new rate was less than 1% when every other bank was offering 4%. I was on the phone with her speaking to 5 different people and each gave different explanations. Many times they contradicted each other. We were told the check was in the mail 3 different times but it wasn't until we filed a complaint with the *************** that her money was refunded to her. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
