      My mother died on August 25th. I filed a claim and apparently made a mistake that no one told me about. It wasn't until my siblings had received their checks that I inquired and found out about it. Now, I am having difficulty getting my **** Int. The first one was incorrect and was the mistake was reported to them by the executor. New forms were sent out, and yet I did not receive one. I called early March to tell them and again on March 16th. Both calls took over an hour of my time as I was passed multiple times while the matter was researched. On March 16th, I was told it had been mailed and was given the corrected amount. Today is March 28th and when I still did not receive the form, I called again. Once again, over an hour as I was passed 4 times to someone who reported it is in the mail. This person gives me a new corrected amount, which means the federal return I filed is incorrect. Based on the amount they provided, I believe the ones my siblings received are also incorrect. They tell me I must wait to receive the form in the mail. I believe they are in violation of meeting the deadline to provide forms. Based on my experience with Marcus Goldman Sachs, I would NEVER trust them with my money.

      We have closed our account and gotten confirmation number twice. The credit card has not been used by my husband or myself for 9 months but we continue to receive charges In July of last year we paid the card in full and were guaranteed that the account was closed. We received no statements until December and were forced to pay ****** late fees for a ***** charge that was allowed after we cut up our cards and actually closed the account last July We again were guaranteed that we were done with charges and now again I am receiving charges from Marcus Goldman for late charges. They refuse to stop How long can they do this Another dispute we just completed was answered today saying we had to pay.

      I made a minimum payment on my credit card online, using their app. They then proceeded to take the entire balance of the card from my bank account. Multiple reps promised me that they would correct the problem. Days later, I receive an email stating that they have decided to keep all of the money. Their actions go beyond incompetent and are criminal.

      I disputed a hotel charge on my Marcus GM card for a hotel I never stayed at, in a state I haven't visited in five years. The dispute came back as "denied," so the charge went back on my statement. It says I presented my card physically, so I decided to contact the hotel myself. But there's no hotel at that address, so I don't believe it's even a real hotel. I've been asking in two long phone calls and two long chats for the contact info that the Marcus "investigators" used to determine the outcome of my dispute. I've talked to/chatted with about 10 different customer service agents, none of whom can tell me anything at all that's not already visible to me on my statement. So I have no new information, but they've been willing to waste a whole lot of my time and energy promising to transfer me to various other (equally useless) departments.

      SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR MONEY. I've had multiple issues withdrawing money from my Marcus Savings account for the last near 5 months. First they locked my account when I made the first transfer, for which I had to provide a notarized affidavit to prove it was me. Once the affidavit was picked up at their PO BOX (I used a package tracker to stay informed), it took weeks and three phone calls to get them to admit that my affidavit was accepted and unlock my account. In one of those phone calls I was told my account was going to be cancelled. I waited a couple more weeks for *********** to arrive via mail (as a check, as they told me it would come), and then it turns out my account was never set to be closed to begin with. Then they told me that they couldn't confirm that the checking account I had used to deposit money into Marcus (which they never had an issue with until now) actually belonged to me! I sent a confirmation from my bank with my account details to clear this up, AND I STILL CAN'T WITHDRAW MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT. Every time I try, and I've tried to withdraw money nearly 10 times in the last two weeks, the app tells me there's "technical issues" and that they're working to fix them. The customer service system is also set up to frustrate customers instead of helping them. The representatives put you on hold multiple times to "read your notes", transfer you at least once, sometimes twice, every call to someone else who'll have you repeat your case to them, and make you jump through hoops to get your money instead of proposing any real solutions to problems. I wouldn't be surprised at this point if they had liquidity issues, but who knows. Put your money literally anywhere else.

      I'm very surprised reading the reviews. I've been with Marcus for a few years and have never had even one problem with them. Husband and I have separate accounts, to stay under the $250k FDIC limit for insured deposits. We each have small savings accts and the rest is in CDs. Sometimes we let the CDs roll over; sometimes we pull money out. We have transferred money into our external acct, and it always works as advertised, even very large amounts. We've done the reverse as well, and no issues. We've used wire transfer out just once, when it was needed for a home purchase (I don't want to abuse this option), and it went as smoothly as anything else. Otherwise, we use ACH transfers to and from the external account. Last time we did some juggling of funds, I was a little surprised that the funds were held for a bit, but that's understandable, AND interest accrual begins from the date of injection. Fair enough. No complaints from me about Marcus by Goldman Sachs.

      They locked my savings account with over 220 K in it and refuse to unlock it despite having gone through several verifications. Please stay away, as I will be taking legal action against them.
