I've been trying to get myself added to my father's account as power of attorney (he has Dementia, is in a nursing home). After a dozen calls and about 20 hours, mailing notarized affidavits and proof of identity, I was informed today of THREE separate items they required to add me to the account - BEYOND what I have already sent (again, notarized, sent via certified mail).Capital One accepted a scan of the ***** of ******** form, Marcus requires a THE ACTUAL NOTARIZED ***** of ******** agreement. Why would I ever send that to them?!Capital One handled this efficiently via email in about 3 business days, perhaps half an hour of my time.Marcus is going on 3 MONTHS, 20 hours of my time, and no end in site. Marcus is terrible.

Ive been working with Marcus on correcting a 2022 ****-INT form since early March. I extended my filing so I could receive the corrected tax form. I have spoken to Marcus bi-weekly until today, June 6th, at which point Im informed tax preparation is closed and the form will not be corrected. Not their problem I guess, albeit they are happy to take your money. This is absolutely unacceptable and Ill never hold funds with such an incompetent outfit. You are a zero Marcus and the sooner you go out of business the better.

Marcus will not transfer out my 250k because they say the name does not match. I spent over a hour on the phone with Marcus and Fidelity on the same line and verified its my account. I cannot get anyone at Marcus to help and asked for a supervisor. I was hung up on when trying to get in contact with a supervisor. Spent countless hours on this when my other banks (PNC, CITI, Discover) made the transfer with no issues. This Marcus issue is not negatively impacting me. HORRIBLE BANK!

Opened a 5 percent interest CD funded with 2 different bank accounts. After 1 week Marcus contacted saying that only 1 deposit was allowed. No worries huh? Marcus stated that the account needed to be closed and penalties would apply, huh? It's been 2 weeks since they kept me on the phone for hours after which I was told *********** were refunded back to my 2 banks. I'm just off the phone with Marcus another 1 1/2 hours and was told that my money wasn't refunded as stated 2 weeks ago. The representative tried telling me "It's not that easy to refund because it's a CD, huh? I have no answers where my money is, wasted hours, lost interest potential, aggravated and belittled. If you value your time, sanity, money and expect good customer service which is necessary when dealing with an online account, I recommend looking elsewhere. How regulators haven't shut these people down is bewildering.

This bank has owed me $100 for a promotional account of $ 10,000.00 and will not give me my money. They acknowledge they owe me the money but are not paying me.

I am very disappointed with this company, I have NEVER been late and this month I informed them that I have a financial hardship and medical issue and the person on the phone told me I am not eligible to get a late fee for $40. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and was told by the representative, that the supervisor is going to tell me this same thing. I paid the minimum payment to get my account back in good standing but I am not paying their late fee for being only a week late. And never having been late before as courtesy they should've offered to help me.

Id give them a 2.5 if I could because the gm business card works most of the time but not half the time when I need it the most. Fraud detection system is good but their system is a little tight on what is fraud. And now same as other reviews Im in review for 5-7 days while out of town on business

Not happy with my GM card since they moved to Marcus. They hold refunds for weeks before applying the credit to your balance. My wife has the same card and does payments through her bank days in advance of the due date. The payment is never applied on time and then they try to apply late fees and interest. I had the same problem and had to initiate a bank transfer through the Marcus portal for them to apply the payments in a timely manner. **************** is horrible. The rewards system is not worth the hassle. The only reason I am leaving 1 star is because I can't leave zero

Back in February 2022 Marcus by Goldman Sachs took over my GM M/C, which I've had since February ****. When Goldman Sachs took over I called their CS # & requested they set my limit @$500. (which is what it's been set @for the majority of the time I've had my card). I was assured by the agent I spoke with "no problem. Well in April of 2022 I was checking my account & noticed my limit had been jacked up to $1750. I spent almost 6 months calling every week to try & get them to lower the limit back to the original $500. I had requested to no avail. This morning I got an email informing me they are jacking my limit up to $3550. If this wasn't my only CC I would cancel it in a heartbeat. The reason I got this card originally is because it allows me to earn $ towards a new (or used) GMC Truck. Once I get the current charges paid off I'm going to cancel this card regardless of the ding it will do to my FICO score. I'm done dealing with a company who doesn't abide by the old saying "the customer is always right". I understand all corporations are like this now so I won't be getting a new major CC for the short term. It will be cash only. Corporate greed is disgusting!
