      Had the *********** card and the gm card was switched to this company. Worst experiences.. this is how you are treating your customers?

      My husband is incarcerated and I submitted a POA to start discussing his account and make sure no extra finance charges were added or some kind of payment plan can be made to the account while he was in. They never received it. They then sent me a form they use to my email in which I sent while I was on the phone with the supervisor and they said our team needs to review it and someone will get back to you. No one did. I called again for a 3rd time and this time ** told oh we will get this escalated and someone will call you in a few days and again no call. Im calling again and again now they dont know where his paperwork is, they dont know what to do with the situation and checking different places to find it now at this point I did my due diligence the minute he went in to send the paperwork to discuss his account and no one can find it. Meanwhile charges upon charges are being charged on the account which is what I didnt want for our family. I have ZERO problem with any other company but you think with Apple being tied to the brand it be different.

      Watch out on the promotion link that Marcus by Goldman Sachs send you! It could be totally invalid! I received a promotion link from the bank in the email and used the link, deposit the required amount and meet all other requirements. In the end, the promotion was not honored because the bank said I didn't enroll in the promotion. I am 100% sure I used the promotion link they sent to me. It only tells me that the promotion link was invalid. I am extremely disappointed and will never use Marcus by Goldman Sachs again.

      This is by far the worst banking experience of my life. If I can give them negative stars I would. I tried to transfer money online to the bank account linked to the ******************** by Goldman bank account I have in order to pay some bills and they locked my account. I spent over an hour on the phone with a representative who then transferred me to the IT security rep. telling me that none of my phone numbers matched my profile on-line. I find this quite disturbing since those are the only phone numbers I have. He then proceeds to tell me that I have to fill out an affidavit to confirm my identity because any other form of ID will not work. This representative mentioned that even my driver's license would not work since my state is not a state they accept. I have no idea what he meant and he said he couldn't explain why. The IT security rep. mentioned the affidavit would be delivered and would arrive at my home in 3 days. It has been more than a week later and no sign of the affidavit. I called Marcus by Goldman for status. At least the reps from last week seemed to actually want to work with me. I spoke to two reps. and they offered no help at all. The customer service at ******************** is the worst I have ever encountered. The ***** ******** transferred me to ******. I mentioned how I have not received the affidavit and asked if there was any other way to confirm my identity. She offered no other option. I asked about double checking my phone number and she completely dismissed my request. She mentioned the affidavit had to get approved, which the IT security rep. confirmed it was when I spoke to him over a week ago. So, now I have to wait 7/10 business days for the affidavit. My money is being held hostage against my own will with no options. I highly encourage anyone who is thinking about the interest rate Marcus by Goldman offers not to fall for it. Other banks have 4%-5% and their customer service as well as money retrieval is superb!

      DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MARCUS/GOLDMAN SACHS. I participated in a simple savings account promotion, but they refuse to give me the $100 promotion bonus I feel they owe me. It's not the money -- it's the way Marcus/Goldman fleeces its customers as a matter of principle.I got an email from AARP on Jan 24, 2023 saying I would get a $100 bonus added to my Marcus savings account if I did three things:1) sign up for promotion 2) add $10,000 to my account by February ***** keep the balance with the added $10,000 for 90 days.I sent the money in February 9 and kept it all there for well over 90 days. They won't give me the $100 bonus because they say they have no record of me signing up for it. I say I did but didn't receive confirmation, they say I didn't.They acknowledge they have records of the deposit and time they had the money. I also did this promotion with no issues in 2021 and 2022.Yet they persist in refusing to give the $100 bonus over a sign up dispute.What kind of entity does this to a customer/consumer over a piddly $100 when they got my money on time, used my money for the duration and it was kept there the required time.If an employee of mine didn't pay someone the $100 under these circumstances, I'd fire them for being stupid. Yet Marcus/Goldman refuses to credit the $100 despite multiple attempts to resolve this from me and also AARP's customer service team.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MARCUS/GOLDMAN SACHS -- they are a predator organization.

      Tried to open a savings account today, total fail! Used the family link to get the 5.3% rate for 3 months. My son and father use Marcus. Site would not let me enter info (twice) and after 2 calls with the most incompetent call center operators, Told me I had to talk to a specialist. WTF, then who are you? I gave up. Wife tries it on her phone twice and also calls. Was told since I started the process they had to talk to me not her since I was the primary account holder. I didnt have an account according to the first two calls I made. This is a bank! Who likes entering SS numbers 4 times in this age of cyber crime. I am beyond frustrated and will never do business with them. $100K deposit and they blew me off. DO NOT USE MARCUS!!!!!! AARP members beware.

      DO NOT TRUST THIS BANK WITH YOUR MONEY THEY WILL HOLD IT HOSTAGE.I have over 80k between accounts and have been with them since 2018. I eventually went to purchase a home and was going to use their bank to wire money into an escrow account at my title company. MARCUS ALMOST COST ME MY HOUSE by delaying my closing date.They require money to sit in your account for at least 6 months before attempting a wire transfer. They also only allow a set amount of wire transfers in a period of time. They will let you wire all your money to another account you own but if money hasn't sat in an account for an entire 6 month period THEY WILL NOT let you wire that money out. DO NOT DEPEND ON THIS BANK TO BE THERE WHEN YOU GOTO CLOSE.I called multiple times through out the 5 months of my transaction, up until 3 days before closing and this policy was never told to me. I used the bank to wire ******* money from an account, and decided to move money from another marcus account into a single ********************** account to minimize the amount of wire fees and wire transactions made at the closing table. Only to be told that the money I wired into the account in that ****** period to make of the difference, that was an in bank transfer, couldn't be wired out.Their literal response was, we can see you have the fund but there is nothing we can do. This bank is terrible, I will move all my money out of this institution once I'm closed. No amount of high yield savings can keep me after this experience. I will be working on seeing if there is some legal action that can be taken here as well.I wish I could leave negative stars but I will only give it one.

      Worthless bank, tried to open a sav***s account with 2k to be transferred immediately, first they locked my account say*** I needed to contact them to have it unlocked, then not only could they not figure out WHY my account was locked they told me that they decided I wasnt good enough to bank with them and they had closed my account and provided me with absolutely ZERO information as to the reason why, I had to call several times and ask to speak with a supervisor, and after several attempts someone said they would talk to theirs and that the supervisor would be in contact within the week. That never happened. Dont give these rich a.$.$.h-**** your money, they dont deserve it and will just end up F.u: ck-*** you over cause they see you as low life peasants.

      If I could give ZERO stares I would. I opened my account based upon anothers recommendation as this is a great HYSA. WRONG! Shortly after I transferred over $45,000 into my new Marcus account, my account was locked and has been temporarily locked since 7/22/2023. And although Ive requested my account to be closed 3 times already and wasted hours on the phone with multiple departments, I have not been given a reason as to why my account has been locked, they will NOT unlock my account therefore I cannot see my funds nor have so received the transfers back into my original, external accounts. @marcus steals peoples money!

      Bad experience with Marcus by Goldman Sachs! My email was taken through *********** With that someone got into my Marcus accounts! I had 2 accounts and a transfer was attempted from one! Cleared that up, changed and added security measures! The next time I used my account with into 2 days all of the moneys was removed from both accounts! It has been a nightmare trying to get my money returned to me! I have been put on hold for hours (3-5 minutes t a time). Never speak to the same person and each time I have to tell the situation over again! Finally get a little over half the money back and they tell me the dispute is settled! Now I have to start a new dispute to get the rest of my money! Never again will I let Marcus handle any moneys for me!
