      My mom has health issues, and she was placed in a rehabilitation facility in August 2023. She was getting taken advantage of by companies' monthly charges through her credit card, so we ordered a payoff and closed her credit card account. Well, the payoff was not the payoff, and I guess there were a couple of dollars of interest that ballooned into $137.02 at this moment. I have called multiple times, escalated this three separate times for investigation, and yet have not received a phone call or an email as a follow-up. They continue to harass my mother for money my Mom does not owe them. She was a loyal customer for decades, and now they just don't seem to care. Frustrated beyond belief.

      I have been a customer of ******************** since August 2018 with Savings and various CDs (more than half a dozen), and was happy with its service until last year. None of my Savings and CDs had any backup withholding but suddenly Marcus started withholding two 10-month CDs I purchased in April 2023. I did not notice the withholding issue until I download the ****s to prepare for tax return, since for unknown time/reason Marcus stopped sending us monthly statements. When I called and spoke with Marcus reps, and they first claim that I mailed signed paper forms to request for the withholding when I opened the CDs. I asks them to show me a copy of the signed forms for proof, and the rep said they could not. Subsequent escalation got me to a nastier rep that he claims that I checked a box on online form to authorize them for backup withholding. I have advanced degree in Computer Sci and have been working in software industry for more than 30years, and I cannot make such rudimentary mistakes TWICE (for the two CDs). Moreover the registrations for the two CDs are identical to my existing/previous CDs and Savings accounts, and no backup had been withheld for the same registration/SSN. It is most likely that Marcus purposely made such move, since by taking money out of customer's CDs (through withholding) EACH MONTH, they reduce the compound interest payment to customers.

      Froze my account when I tried to withdraw my money. Refuse to tell me any details about account because my phone is "not in my name" according to some secret system their fraud department uses. Cannot access any money, nor will anyone tell me what's going on and this has been going on for weeks. My phone number has not changed, and was never an issue receiving PIN numbers until I tried to withdraw the money. No updates via email regarding the issue, will not call me on my phone either. Asked them to call the phone company to verify ownership of my phone number instead of relying on their outdated system and they refused. Basically holding my money hostage and refuse to help me.

      They are quick to take your deposits but slow to let you withdraw your funds. They locked my account when I attempted to transfer money out. I ended up closing my account due to their unjustified actions. I would be very cautious of doing business with them....something is not right.

      Worse bank I've ever had. Five different agents and five different answers. All started with me attempting to withdraw some savings funds to pay an insurance bill. Refused to allow me to withdraw my own money! On hold now cancelling all my accounts with them. Hopefully, they are going allow me to close my accounts and transfer my own money back to my checking account, thankfully it is with a different establishment. No wonder they have a 1 star rating on here. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!

      Worst bank ever . Literally takes weeks for your funds to be available in your online account. Do not depend on this savings account if you need your money immediately because you will not get it. Customer service reps are idiots and lack common education by the amount of times you have to repeat things to them. Once I get my money I will never bank with these people again i dont know how a class action lawsuit hasnt been filed against these crooks.

      They restricted access to my main card for no reason and my secondary card was able to be used for anything and everything. Tried to call customer service, on hold for an hour after that was able to have them call me at my place in line. They called and immediately hung up with no call back. Their customer service is horrible and rude. All in all I have spent 7 hours with nothing fixed! This is why I choose Duscover! Card will be canceled tomorrow!

      BBB has Marcus BAnk with a 1 Star rating and they don't deserve a ranking below sub par. I had a 6mth CD. I received a note appox. 4wks in advance that thye would renew the cd IF I didn't request aa chain. I told them to close the account at that time with the account where I wanted to send the money. I received another notice and again told them where to send the money. The maturity came and nothing happened. I called 4x's during that last 2wks and was assured everything was OK... by 3 supervisors. Still the funds have not been transferred. I am currently waiting for the supervisors of supervisors to return my call. Here is there LOGO specifying "TIME IS MONEY''..... and the longer they sit on my money the more they make.... gotta say they believe in their logo **** The Customers. I know I will eventually get my money but I hope others change their minds when they read the all the negative reviews BBB make help us all here.. THe BBB has them listed as **** stars... which is artificially high as to file a complaint you have to give them at least a 1 star rating. so Marcus Bank rating is really .11 stars BY THE CUSTOMERS. Otherwise the BBB has them listed as A+. hmmm so what is more important customers or WOW and we used to think ****** was corrupt...

      Terrible. Refuse to allow me to transfer funds from my Marcus savings account into linked accounts claiming they have an unwritten internal policy that all funds must remain in the savings account for a minimum of 90 days before they can be transferred out.

      Tried to call customer service and they were very rude and unwilling to help. This comoany can take a flying leap.
