I received a call from Jacob H****** from number **********. Stating he tried to call me multiple times for a statement and that they couldn’t civilly serve me and they will be going to job. First they said that I owed $3300. Then said I could pay $1000 by 3 pm then said I could $279 and we can spread the rest out. Then he told me he could talk to the lawyer. He put me on a 90 second old and then came back with those amounts. They are calling my family and old coworkers. They told me my last 4 of my social which is strange because usually they ask you to verify your info. I asked them for email proof and they typed it on a **** document and sent it.Business Response

Recieved a voicemail from ****** ******, stating he was with the ************ ******** ********* ******* *******. Stating I would be served the following day and would need to be home between 1100-1300. Referred to a case number and gave me the number ********** to call back to reschedule delivery. This is not the first voicemail I have received from the company. Typically the name appears as a normal name howeve I have my settings to go straight to voicemail if the number is not saved in my phone. The voicemail I have received previously were very harassing stating I’m purposely ignoring them and they need to speak with me or my attorney. After pulling my credit report and speaking with any attorney. I’ve been advised to file a complaint against the company to stop all communication. I have not lived at said addres in over a year, I’m registered to vote and my DL has my current address. If any legal paperwork were to be delivered, it would be unannounced and to that address. I don’t understand how this company can continue to make threats and use scare tactics, how are they even a “business”. I received a phone call from a local number that was spoofed on the caller ID. I then ******* the phone number listed in the voicemail to find it belonged to Main Resolution group. This voicemail was left on 9/12/2023. The voicemail stated ******** ******** in the Civil Processing Decision, tasked to review the criteria tasked to a formal complaint to my name and social. They need to speak to myself or a retained attorney at ************ ext ***.
This breaks a lot of FTC laws, eluding to legal action in a voicemail, which may or may not belong to the person they are trying to reach. As a debt collector the mini miranda was not stated either.
This is my formal request to have this company cease and desist all activities on my account. I will also be filing a complaint with the FTC due to blatant law breaking on a voicemail.Customer Answer

I received a call from this company who claimed to have attempted contact with me multiple times yet I only ever received ONE call from and only one voicemail. I then began to receive calls from multiple family members letting me know that I apparently only had 48 hours to respond. I was at work when the calls came through. Which caused allot of confusion seeing as I couldn't answer any calls. I called them back and they told me I was going to be served. I requested to receive an email seeing as no one actually told me the company they worked for. I have yet to receive an email or anything. And it has been more than 48 hours. I feel as if this is a malicious tactic. I have never received a letter or any other communication informing me that I would be "served". I was contacted on 06/15/2023 from max S**** from the civil processing center which is not where he’s from, he’s with main resolution inc and when I spoke with him he did not read me my Miranda rights nor did he ask me question to verify my identity. He just started to throw out information social security # and some information was inaccurate but I figured it was a scam he should not be giving out peoples information like that. Then I get another call from another guy giving me a ******** case number and that I would be getting served yet again lying about where he is calling from with incorrect information so from now I “please cease and desist all calls and contact with me immediately”Business Response

Company keeps calling third parties. I called the number provided and the receptionist wouldn’t provide any information. I was transferred to David H**** and he ultimately hung up on me after raising his voice. I requested the calls to stop. Not even an hour later another call was placed to a third party. Company calls my personal, work, and co-workers phones leaving harassing threatening voicemails claiming "pre-litigation" and "must return call by end of day", leaving the same message on co-workers voicemails as well. Company also uses "spoofed" phone numbers for caller ID to avoid spam and robocall blockers. Under the FDCPA Act VII titled Unfair and Deceptive Practices, I am requesting this company be put on notice to have no further contact with myself at all or any other person at my place of employment. I am specifically citing the following violations of the FDCPA by this company:
1. A debt collector may not contact the consumer at his or her place
of employment if the collector has reason to believe the employer prohibits such communications.
As a state government agency, this communication is prohibited by my employer.
2. Communication with and/or harassing coworkers at my place of employment is a violation of the FDCPA.
3. The company names their collection firm "MRG" in the voicemails left.
4. The company threatens or implies legal action and/or crimes using terms such as "pre-litigation".
5. Falsely represented legal process.
Any further contact to myself or other parties associated with me may result in legal action including but not limited to: notification to state attorney general, notification to the FTC, and notification to the CFPB.Business Response

Website lists number in New York but called from a tennessee number stating they were a mediation company for a debt asking me to provide "a statement" on it. Asked for a cease and desist and they hung up on me. Called back and was told after several transfers that they would just forward it to "the county for scheduling" and again hung up on meBusiness Response

BBB spoke with the director of the company and the following was relayed: The consumer called in and would not verify his identity in any way. Without verifying who we are speaking with, we cannot provide any information and therefore, could not assist him further. Customer told us that ""we are a scam" and then hung up on us. It was a 45 second call. That was on 6/6/23. After that call, we placed the account in a shut down status. On 6/7/23 we received the complaint from BBB. We then placed the account in a cease and desist status. Therefore, there will be no more contact made with this customer.
