I AM REALLY UPSET with this service. I became a client of Ecoshield in August 2021 on a bimonthly plan until July 22. My problem started when I was "automatically renewed" for another year. I try to quit the service in July 26, ******************************************************************************************************* was to change from bimonthly to a quarterly service until it was time to renew the contract by internet, where I will had the option of cancelling it. I tried to cancel the contract again this year and I am still being charged $ 250 for cancellation fees that I never agree upon. This is really a SCAM, I never had to deal with a situation like this. I paid enough to this company for a very poor service. The phone service is basically a "human computer" that can't help at all. I receive annoying emails and calls asking to talk personally regarding "options" for not breaking the contract. I JUST WANT TO QUIT. It is being two years! I sent emails and called many times (the last time yesterday), however, EcoShield is still charging me for a service I did not ask for. Unfortunately, I'll have to proceed and pay the bill since this could take some time and it may be harmful for my otherwise outstanding credit record. Nonetheless, due to the unfairness of the situation I'll be requesting a full refund to Ecoshield.

This company preyed on my 90 year old mother and said they treat her other condo unit neighbors and would give her a ONE TIME DEAL. She understood that to be ONE outside application. Since I manage her finances I saw a recurring charge and called company to question. My mother indicated they supposedly sprayed exterior for spiders. When I called they said technician went in basement for mice (lie) and treated exterior. They said she signed a one year contract. My mother did not understand she was signing any contract and for them to take advantage of her is irrepressible. I called to cancel and was given the most rude run around. Was told there would be a contract break fee. Um, no. I said I was reporting them to BBB and would dispute any further charges in her credit card. Since this time, she received a call this week and had a message that a technician would be coming 2/10/23! SHE IS NOW IN ASSISTED LIVING and I called to tell them this. Got another huge runaround. I cannot even stress to RUN away from ANY association with this company and their business practices! They are terrible in how they treat the consumer!!!!!!!

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. The exterminator that showed up at my place, *****, told me I only had to complete a few months for good faith BECAUSE I KNEW I WAS MOVING. Now Im being charged $150 in cancellation fees. When *** called the phone number, I only get to speak to people who read the SAME SCRIPT off a piece a paper instead of actually helping me. ALSO, They were not even scheduled to come this week and they still tried to show up two different days?! I was on the phone EcoShield probably 5-6 different times yesterday. The manager, ****, I spoke to was incredible rude and unhelpful. He essentially told me it was my fault for believing what ***** said then signing a contract. I called ************* his cell phone after attempting the call center MULTIPLE times yesterday. He said he would be speaking with the ** about this matter but I am still receive annoying emails and calls regarding this matter and it needs to be resolved ASAP. This is a terrible way to run a business. No resolution yet but still getting annoying phone calls and emails multiple times daily.

A door-to-door salesman came to our house and at the very end of the day said he could offer us a highly discounted rate since he was in the neighborhood and after much discussion got us to sign up for the service, including quarterly treatments. He told me explicitly that I could cancel at any time without incurring additional charges. After two treatments I decided for a variety of reasons including personal financial pressures, health concerns with chemical exposure to a toddler and pregnant wife, and not a strong noticeable difference with the treatments that we wanted to no longer wanted the service. When I called to cancel they told me I had to pay $200 for a cancellation fee to pay back the discount that the salesman offered us at the start. This was NOT communicated to me previously and I was rushed through the sign-up process which apparently included fine print on the iPad where he asked me to sign up. After speaking with the customer service associate, ********, on the phone for 30 minutes she lowered the fee to $150 but refused to cancel it. I'm assuming there are financial incentives for the door-to-door sales that would encourage them to misinform customers about the agreements that are ******* them to sign in order to close the sale.

      Hi ******,

Please provide details as of what was missed during the initial visit service on 7/6/22. After reviewing the notes, it looks like your only feedback was the technician leaving the gate open, which would not justify a $159 refund of a service that was completed. From ********'s notes, she did not promise you a refund, but said she would relay your request to the billing department.

A Door to Door sales person came to my home in late spring and offered the services. I pointed out a Elm tree that was being killed from beetles and an issue we had with spiders in the landscaping rocks. The sales person said they were in the neighborhood for a different neighbors appointment, but that appointment had cancelled and that if they didn't use the product that day it would go bad so he offered to cut me a deal. He said I could get a discounted rate on the service and that I could cancel after two applications without any penalty. I agreed to this. Come to find out, all of what he said was untrue and a dishonest sales tactic. The service did not work. My tree was killed from the beetles and and the spiders weren't really addressed. Before a third appointment occurred, i called to cancel my service. I explained the situation to the customer service representative, explained that the sales rep said I could cancel after 2 appointments without penalty. She understood and told me that my account would be cancelled without a penalty. the next day i received an invoice for $150. I called again, the next customer service rep said that there were no notes and that they cannot call the sales rep anymore to verify our agreement so I'm stuck with the cancellation fee. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that the manger was busy and would tell me the same thing anyway. I insisted on speaking with the manager and was informed that the manager will call me back at some point. That hasn't occurred. I very much would like the $150 fee waived.

Upon the salesman coming to our door and explaining the services and cosrs, we were told that there would be 4 quartly charges and that the first quarter would include 2 applications. I then was charged for the second application before the first quarter was up and called to find out why there was a second charge. I did not receive any resolution to this charge so disputed the charge with my bank. After several phone calls I was told that the charges were removed and that i would not owe any more. Then i received a collection notice with the service cost and a $200 fee. After talking to a "manager" to try once gain to resolve this, I was offered a discount of $19 off the second application that was supposed to be covered in the first quarter in the first place and told I would still have to pay the "cancellation fee" of $200 so the cost went from $369 to $350. I am filing a complaint in hopes that others don't get sucked into this sales scheme.
