I received a letter saying I have a check owed to me that I never cashed. Ive emailed, Ive called multiple times and I have submitted online information and nothing! Is this fraudulent?!Business Response

The most atrocious communication I've ever seen in a company. My initial settlement and service check by this company was considered fraudulent by the bank. When a re-issue was processed, only the Service Fee check was re-issued and to the address I had already told them twice was no longer active. I've left several messages both via phone and their website form to reconcile this issue. Now that I'm reading the reviews - this is apparently the only way to get their attention. I'm also reading that they have a history of embellishing how much people got in their portion of the Settlement so I'll need a breakdown of my working hours from them as well as the actual check sent to my updated address.Business Response

I looked into our phone system and see that you tried calling at about 6:15 this morning, but unfortunately we don't open until 9:00. Aside from that, I looked into it and was glad to see that we did reissue your check. The check was sent to the same address that you provided in this complaint, not to a previous address. We updated your address on 4/2/25 and sent the reissued check out to that address that day, so I'm not sure why you never received it. The check is check #***** for $3,867.96, and I'm sending it out to you again today via **** priority mail with tracking number: 9405530109355161937365. They estimate 2 day delivery so it should arrive on Friday.

I received information on a class settlement from **** over a year ago. The case ended by way of stipulated agreement on 8/20/2024. To date, there has been two unanswered emails to ILYM. I chose not to call them since all the reviews/ complaints posted advised not to. All I am seeking is when will I receive my portion of the settlement, which is $2,609.37 combined total for class period and PAGA payments. We're sorry you didn't receive your check yet! I could not locate any emails you sent to us, I checked between all of our customer service emails and not able to locate any communication. We have a team of people waiting to answer calls, I wish you would have tried before just assuming we would not answer your call. We did send your check out to the address you provided in this complaint, back in November of last year. I'm not sure what happened to where you didn't receive your check, maybe it was tucked in with the junk mail and got tossed in the trash or something like that. I verified that nobody else got your check and tried to cash it fraudulently, so I'll re-issue your check again today. It should arrive in a few days!

I relieved a letter from ILMY group stating a check from a settlement is being held until June 1st 2025. I have followed all.instrucruons listed on their website. Including phone messages, email, and online submissions. The company has not responded to any of my requests. I'm unsure if this is a fraduant company. I recieved a notice from the California State Controllers office on 02/18/2025 regarding a lawsuit that settled in December of 2023 against B.E.T. information systems. I have submitted a change of address and several check request besides the dozens of emails and voicemails. I have not received a check nor have I gotten any communication from ********* ******. They never answer their phone or call you back. This company was handling a settlement from a class action lawsuit. On Saturday, 12 April, a letter was supposed to arrive to my new address, however the **** lost it and hasn't been helpful in finding it. I reached out to ILYM group via email (as that's what they say is the fastest way to communicate with them), and I haven't heard anything back from them. When you try to call, they never pick up their phone. This is money due to me and it's irresponsible for this business to not answer any emails or phone calls.Business Response

I have been trying to contact this business for approximately one year. My family and I resided at ************** apartments in ********, ** and were sent a notice that we qualified for a class action settlement against *****************- DFEH v. ********************** to be specific. I have tried several times to get in contact with this business. I was successful one time. The girl who answered first told me she did not have any of my paperwork, then she put me on hold and said she found it. I submitted all my forms in May 2023- it is now April of 2025!!!! Since then, the settlement has been disbursed, but I have yet to receive my fund. No one answers the phone, or responds back to any emails. Today, I was able to get through to *********, she answered the phone, heard my name and then hung up. I called back right after and she blocked my phone number! I find this extremely unprofessional and I am lost for words. I don't know where my money is, and I don't have any answers. These people need to be investigated.Business Response

Thank you for contacting us! I looked into the call records to see why we couldn't help you, and I do see where you called in several times yesterday but only press 0 to get to customer service 3 of those times, and all 3 of those times you disconnected the call before anyone answered or before you could leave a voicemail. I checked your calls with ********* as well, and see you were transferred to her line 3 times, one time you left a voicemail and the other two times shows you hung up when transferred to her voicemail. She works remotely and is not always by her phone, but if you left her a voicemail she will return your call. She didn't hang up on you and your phone number is not blocked, I confirmed just to be sure because that would not have been acceptable! Prior to that you talked to ********* in January and ***** in December and we confirmed that we have a claim under your husband's name for this case.
In regards to your check, this case is still being finalized with the attorneys. Uunfortunately we are not the ones who move the process forward or are able to make any decisions. The attorneys are the ones who are able to do all of that and they let us know when we are able to send out checks. Hopefully it will be soon! Last we had heard was that there was missing information for several class members so they were giving extra time for those people to get their information in so that they could ensure they get their fair share as well.
