I contacted DOE Plumbing because I have an issue with a boiler/heater system that is a bit more complex than most forced air systems. DOE agreed to come up to Saratoga, WY., on Dec. 21, 2023 to see what they could do. DOE did stay at my house for approx 6 hours and they did tinker with my heating system/boiler, but they had no clue what they were doing, and as such should have told me and ended the work session. Instead, I was given bogus information about "lime water eating my concrete floor", (so they needed to replace a relief valve, see receipt.). This issue wasn't even why I called them. DOE went to the local hardware and bought the part and installed it and actually the water overflow got worse. DOE also charged me $34.91 over the price of what they paid for the part at the local hardware store 4 blocks from my house. I have in floor heating and DOE started messing with the valves and one valve wasn't marked so as I'm standing there the tech., Landon said "this is a valve with no zone" and turned it off. The valve is tied to a perimeter line around the inside edge of the house in order to supply constant heat to edges of interior floors. Landon fiddled with my system for approx 6 hours and went inside the house several times trying to figure out what he was doing but it was obvious that they had no idea about this Viessmann system. DOE actually made the problem worse, not better. My point is this... I would have paid for them to come out, look at it, tell me it was above their pay grade and be on their way. Instead they replaced a part I didn't need/ overcharging me immensely, messed with things they could have made worse, and did, then lied about the lime issue, then told me to "watch things and contact Landon Monday" which I did, and he finally got back to me saying he was "concerned", "would try to get back up sometime next week".... never heard from him again. No one answers phone or email, just got a bill for not fixing my issue. I have not paid them.
