I purchased a set of wheels, one caused a flat tired and the metal wheel cracked through completely after just a couple days of light driving, and I didnt hit anything. Im sure it was cheap and came defective, that shouldnt happen. I asked for a refund through the company email and was told they didnt care. I want my money back for one wheel at least if not a replacement.Business Response

The image we were provided with of the damaged wheel is shown to have been clearly caused by a road hazard or some sort of impact damage. This is something that is not covered under any manufacturer warranty meaning that neither a replacement or a refund are due. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you.Customer Answer

The attached image shows that the wheel was damaged via some sort of impact or road hazard. A wheel would not show such damage on the inner lip unless something was hit or the wheel was rubbed up against something. We are unable to replace the wheel under any warranty and apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I purchased custom rims, tires (wheels) and installed **** Sensors from Fitment Industries on 06/07/2024. After experiencing several delays, the wheels were finally delivered to my home.ISSUE #1: Upon inspection, I noticed damage to the wheels finish, reaching down to the metal. The packaging was intact, indicating the damage did not occur during transport. I reached out to Fitment Industries customer support, requesting coverage for the cost of local repairs. I located a reputable shop, brought the vehicle in, and had the wheelmeant to be brand newrepaired. Once the wheels were returned, they were installed on the vehicle. This is when additional issues were discovered:ISSUE #2: The **** sensors (which monitor wheel pressure and temperature for safety) would not sync with the vehicle.ISSUE #3: The wheels produced a metal-on-metal sound during any kind of driving. This was due to the sensors being installed wrong and broken.Concerned about further issues, I had the car towed to a nearby, experienced shop at my own expense. The shop diagnosed ISSUE #2 & 3 and found that the **** sensors had been incorrectly installed and were broken inside the wheel. After the shop resolved these issues, all stemming from the poor quality of products from Fitment Industries, I incurred an out-of-pocket expense of approximately $1,700, excluding taxes and the significant time lost due to Fitment Industries' mismanagement. Throughout this process, I remained in contact with the company. They initially refused to cover any of these expenses and ultimately issued a refund of only $311 on 11/11/2024. However, this amount falls far short of covering my actual costs, lost time, and extensive effort for dealing with a defective product from the beginning.Would never do business with them again.Business Response

Ordered 4 new wheels and tires from Custom Offsets, paid $6100. When they arrived one rim was scratched, took a month to get a replacement. Replacement wasn't seated on the rim properly. Put them on vehicle beginning of August 2024 & had terrible vibration. Didn't get better so took to shop on 8/23/24. They found all 4 rims bent, 2 tires failed road force test, and 3 of them weren't balanced properly, eventhough Custom offsets said they did. Tried replacing 2 failed tires to fix vibration but didn't help. Went to another Custom wheel shop for 2nd opinion, they said rims are out of round & can't be fixed. I contacted ***************************** said has to go through manufacturer warranty since it's past 30 days. But there's no guarantee they'll replace them & want me to pay to dismount the tires & ship them back. This is after spending additional $1300 to fix the bad tires & unbalanced tires they sent me. I've sent them all of the receipts, photos of the rims showing they're not round, video of it on the machine hopping all over the place. I feel they should have to send me 4 new rims and 2 new tires since I paid for brand new, not defective. You can never get anyone on the phone, it's all by email. I sent an email at 9am & didn't get response until 6pm. They also lied to me stating the manufacturer, ******, wouldn't speak to me or sell directly to me. I spoke with ************* said they never agree to warranty an item from pictures or receipts and don't know why Custom Offsets is making me submit all of that, they only approve based off of inspection. But I don't feel I can't trust anyone to warranty these as they keep claiming it's due to a road hazard, you don't damage all 4 rims and 2 tires from day 1 on a road hazard. I have a ton of pictures, videos, and receipts showing all of us I would gladly submit and Custom Offsets has all of this. But all their "managers" can do is lie to you. They said I'd be reimbursed for paying to rebalance tires, yet nothing!Business Response

Custom wheels and tires were purchased 2/2024 and two rims ended up cracking and causing issues with the tires and we have had to pay more to replace the already paid for, less than a year old tires. The company did replace one rim at no cost but we ended up having to buy new tires due to the crack in the wheel causing uneven wear on an all wheel drive vehicle. We ended up with the same issue on another wheel and tire. We are now having to replace another wheel and two tires costing us more money out of pocket. Please call for more detailsBusiness Response

Better Business Bureau:
This has now happened to not one but TWO of the rims that were purchased. Which caused damaged to the tires that we had to replace. Since the vehicle is all wheel drive, replacing only 2 tires at a time will cause further damage to the drive train of the vehicle.
This purchase and installation was less than a year. And ONE rim was replaced. The addition TIRES that cost over 750$ was not reimbursed.
There is NO proof that the damage isnt due to the integrity of the product provided. As this has Happened a second time. Which is a safety risk for us, we drive the vehicle. How do we know the other two rims arent already compromised as well? And were a bad batch custom fitted and sent out to us.
that is the reason for the request for a refund. We now, not only cant drive the car due to the rim but the tire needs to also be replaced in addition to having to purchase yet ANOTHER rim that was cracked. We wish to purchase new rims and tires from a different company. And wish to be refunded as this company seems to have to issue more often than not and cannot trust in the quality of products being shipped.

On 3/7/2024 i purchase two rims and four tires from ************************** website. Three weeks ago my tire blows out during a casual drive. Nothing fast nothing out of the ordinary nothing like that. I could feel the tire walk off the rim during a turn. So I reached out to customer offsets and fill out a warranty claim. I immediately get a response back saying that they don't do warranties for any kind of blowout or puncture to the tire. I thought that that was kind of strange considering how new these tires actually are. So I go online and I purchase a set of two new tires namebrand from a different company. The tires finally arrive. I take them down to my local tire shop to have them put on the rims. Shortly after getting there, the mechanic tells me that the rim itself is cracked, and the tire cannot be put on because it would not hold air and that it would cost me around another hundred dollars to get the rim welded in the proper spots to where it would hold the air. I purchased these rims and tires not too long ago and I probably got less than 5000 to 8000 miles out of it At the very most. Also, the mechanic that was fitting, my tires told me that the tires are too wide for the rim. I feel very misled and cheated out of my money. I believe that this is something that the manufacturer warranty should definitely cover considering how recent I purchased them. This is caused me a lot of stress and heartache and has put me out of work for well over three weeks as I am not mobile and able to get around. Now, if the tire was older, let's say let's say I got maybe ****** miles out of it ****** miles out of it that would be another story. I would just accept it at that point and understand that that's A fair amount of miles to be putting on such a low profile tire. But these tires are so new and I just purchased them. I feel that that should've not happened and that because it did the manufacturer should honor the warranty. The cost-of-living is already too high for thisBusiness Response

We apologize for any inconvenience but this matter was denied due to the damage looking to be likely caused by a road hazard. The age of the tire typically won't matter if something is to slash the tire in the same way that we were informed of. As for the statement of the tires being too low profile but also too big, this is pretty conflicting. The tires that we mounted in house were a 285/25R20 on a wheel that is a 20x9.5. This means that the tire height is 25.6 inches and the width being 11.5 inches. Both of these allow for more than enough profile on the wheel to cause protection. The issue here is obviously that there is some sort of disagreement that we haven't been informed of regarding the warranty as upon submitting the warranty claim, we informed this customer of the fact that the warranty does not cover road hazards, to which we never received any other response. We're happy to open this up for further review but would ask that the customer provide us with direct information moving forward. Thank you.Initial Complaint

Transaction date: Oct 24, 2024 Order number: ******* Amount: $2,679.89 I bought wheels from Fitment Industries using their fitment guide on their website. It said that fitment was guaranteed on their website. I got the wheels, tried to install them only for them not to fit. Then they said it was my fault it didnt fit. They then said that bc I tried to install them they would not take a return. They then offered me $300 to go away. I spent ~$300 installing, deinstalling and then installing a set of wheels I bought from another company (not to mention an additional $1500 for the new wheels that actually fit.)Customer Answer

I purchased a set of rims (4) on October 16th 2024. Of the 4 one could not be balanced. I contacted Fitment several times about the issue. I understand that anything man made can be detective. I have made it clear that I'm not seeking a refund, just the replacement of the one (1) rim. If they don't want to honor their product, I'm willing to return all (4) rims. After the purpose I find out that the company gives a Military Discount. I was not offered the discount, was not made aware of the discount. In all honesty, I don't care about the discount. A properly manufactured rim (replacement) is all I want. Other than the issue mentioned, I am 100% satisfied with the product.Business Response

9/30/24 - ***** ****** purchased (4) wheels, (1) leveling kit, (1) lug nut set, (1) centric rings set, & shipping protection.10/2/24 (2) of the wheels arrived. .10/03/24 the other (2) wheels arrived 10/8/24 - ***** ****** took the wheels to ****** Tires still in their original boxes. See WO ****** to have the wheels mounted with our tires and balanced.10/8/24 - ***** ****** went to pick up the wheels and was notified that one of the wheels was bent and took excessive weight to balance. See WO 220830.10/9/24 - 4:50pm We received a return call from customer service. We described the circumstances and were informed that since the wheel had been mounted there is nothing the seller can do. We replied that the bend in the wheel is not noticeable unless its spinning as it was on the balancer. The answer remained No.10/10/24 - 9:27am *** called and said something to the tune off take the tire back off, make it as pretty as you can and put it back in the original box? I replied so now you want me lie and say it was never mounted? Really? It was then I knew I was dealing with an unethical operation. Seeking alternatives, I came across the Better Business Bureau page. It was littered with customers having similar experiences. At that time the only option was to dispute the purchase with our credit card company. After describing the situation, they reversed the transaction. 10/13/24 - We purchased another wheel from another vendor. We no longer wish to do business with Custom Offsets. The disputed amount was for $876.16. The cost of one wheel including tax is $166.46. The cost to mount and balance our tire on the defective wheel was $26.52. It is our intention to mail Custom Offsets a check for the sum of $876.16 - $166.46 - $26.52 = $683.18. In addition, Custom Offsets sent a refund of $38.56 for a different leveling kit that was unavailable. The Check we will send Custom Offsets will be for $683.18 + $38.56 = $721.74.Business Response

Ordered new tires and wheels. Was told the offset would make the tires stick out no more than 1/4 inch. They stick out about 2.5-3.0 inches. I have ignored that but the worst part is the tires or wheels being out of balance or out of round. Tried calling ***** at Custom Offsets but could only leave vm and no call back after 3x. Took tires to local wheel shop who said all tires were not balanced and they suspect at least one wheel defective. Shop attempted to balance but vibration is worse now than before. All complaints I have read on this site are the same! No response and they take no responsibility for selling defective wheels/tires. Time for a class action law suit!Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appearThey suggest I use the warranty process and let them know what is defective. This means I have to spend more money and time to bring wheels and tires to a tire shop to prove the wheels and tires they sent to me are defective in some way. I paid for four new wheels and tires and paid to have them mounted and balanced before they were shipped to me. At this point I have taken them to two different tire shops. The first shop added additional weight to all wheels and concluded at least one wheel is defective so they put it on the rear of vehicle. Tires were actually worse so I brought them to a second shop. They said all tires have balanced but two wheels are defective and have a, hop to them which cannot be corrected. I still have to pick up the wheels and tires, pay the bill and get the documentation. When I talked to the girl at custom offsets I told her about the many individuals who have used the warranty process and had nothing positive to say and seemed to get little if any satisfaction. I also asked who reimburses me for finding the defective wheels they sent me! All she could tell me was to submit a warranty claim. Simple case of customer having to take action because someone on the sales end failed to do their job. I will proceed with the, warranty process and continue to build my case from there. The wheels and tires have approximately 400 miles on them and will not go back on the vehicle until the issue is resolved through the warranty process or litigation.

On July 11, 2024 I purchased a set of wheels and tires from Custom Offsets:$2577.96 - (1) Vision Korupt with TIS TT1 $1098.28 - (4) 20x10 Satin Black Wheel Vision Korupt 405 8x6.5 -25 $1479.68 - (4) 37x12.50R20 TIS TT1 Mud Terrain 37/12.5/20 Tire $0 - (1) FREE Care Pack Decals - White Decals: 24x3.25" and 8x1"$179 - (4) UVS7051 Sensors $52 - (1) Shipping Protection $4 - (4) Tire Tax FL Tracking #: ******** The package was installed by 4WP Bradenton FL Store and I have everything documented. I am getting strong vibrations and hard pull to the right with those tires. I even replaced my suspension lift and added a steering stabilizer and nothing has solved the issue because those tires are trash. Their warranty process involves having to pay a deposit $961 for them to send another set of tires and have mine send back to the manufactures for inspection and is completely up to the manufactures whatever they decide. I told them I didn't want the same tires and they wanted me to pay full price for a different brand replacement. Custom Offsets takes zero responsibility for the products they sell. I purchased the tires based on the reviews on their website and then I found out they do not post the negative reviews to trick the consumer, I posted a review, and they didn't make it public. They are misleading the consumer making us believe they sell good products. I want a full refund for those tires as they are not safe to drive. I want to document here that if anything happens to me on the road related to these faulty tires, I am going to take legal action against Custom Offsets and the tire manufacturer.Business Response
Date: 09/26/2024
Please note that Custom Offsets does not offer warranty coverage and all warranty coverage is provided by the associated manufacturer, hence the need to have the said manufacturer review and determine the claim. It should also be noted that each manufacturer has different processes and requirements for claims and at times, this includes sending directly back to the manufacturer for inspection. The deposit that was offered is for a replacement set of tires that are to be used during the inspection process. Warranty claims and their associated processes do not correlate into a separate brand and any approval is either met with replacement of the faulty product or a reimbursement for the cost of said product.
Ultimately, this customer chose not to proceed with the warranty process despite the set of tires being approved to be sent in for inspection.
Regarding our webpage and product reviews, these are meant for direct feedback of the product and if there is any other information that does not relate, the product review is rejected. This is the case for the associated review that was forward to our page.

The reviews on their website about this particular set of tires are misleading. It is Impossible not to have a single bad review. My review was about the tire quality and my experience with Custom Offsets to alert other buyers, but of course is was not to their liking in sure like other negative reviews. Get your tires back and do the right thing, dont sell a product that you cant backup. Let me at the mercy of the manufacturer while asking me for more money. Other similar complaints in BBB about Custom Offsets align with mine, making it very credible.

We've provided this customer with the means to proceed with a warranty claim and it was denied by the customer. At no point is the customer required to purchase replacements during the warranty process. This was presented as a route to take so that the customer would be able to drive the vehicle while the original tires were sent in for inspection. Again, Custom Offsets does not provide the warranty coverage and this is solely provided by the associated manufacturer.
We are more than happy to move forward with a claim for this customer but consider this matter closed given that the customer chose not to move forward with the warranty claim.
