      I have been paying on this Emergency Physicians bill, thinking that it was not going to be on my credit report. When I called and confronted them, they said it would stay on my credit report until it was paid. I was also scammed by an employee saying that for $300 down and another $300 added to this, that he could correct all of the errors on my credit report. I paid the $300 , not realizing it was a scam until later. If I wanted a collection on my credit report then I would have not paid it! I am so mad and would like this off of my report and my 300$ back!

      This company is calling repeatedly claiming I have debt from *********. I called ProMedica and confirmed there is no such debt . They demanded my husbands personal information as well .

      I am submitting this formal complaint against Americollect regarding the inaccurate and unverified reporting of a medical debt to the credit reporting agencies.Americollect has placed a collection account on my credit reports for a debt I do not owe. No original agreement bearing my signature has ever been provided to verify the validity of this alleged debt. Americollect has continued to report this unverified and inaccurate information to all three major credit bureaus, Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion, causing substantial and unjust harm to my credit standing.This reporting appears to be in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), specifically 15 U.S. Code 1692g(a), which requires that a debt collector provide proper validation of a debt upon request. To date, Americollect has failed to comply with this requirement. As a result, my credit score has suffered, impacting my ability to obtain credit and other essential financial services.I am requesting that the BBB investigate this matter and assist in facilitating the following resolution:Immediate and permanent deletion of the Americollect collection account, Statement number *******, Reference code *******, amount $506, from Experian, Equifax, and ********** credit reports. Written confirmation from Americollect stating that the account has been removed and that no further collection activity will occur.Assurance that Americollect will not report or attempt to collect this invalid debt in the future.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your assistance in reaching a fair and timely resolution.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      Thank you for forwarding Americollect, LLCs response regarding my complaint (#********). I appreciate the opportunity to submit my rebuttal.
      While I acknowledge Americollects decision to mark my account as "cease and desist" and their action to flag the accounts as disputed with the credit bureaus, this response is not sufficient or satisfactory.
      I do not have any signed agreement or contract with Americollect, LLC, nor have I ever entered into any direct relationship with them that would justify their reporting of any collection account under my name. As such, I dispute the validity of these debts in their entirety. The reporting of these collection accounts to *******, **********, and Experian constitutes a harmful action that is negatively affecting my credit profile, causing me financial and reputational harm.
      Further, under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), any entity that furnishes information to the credit reporting agencies must ensure that the information is accurate and can be substantiated. Americollect has failed to provide a contract bearing my signature or any legally binding documentation demonstrating that I owe this debt to them. Simply providing an itemized statement is not sufficient proof of a legally enforceable obligation.
      Therefore, I am formally demanding the immediate and permanent deletion of any and all collection accounts reported by ********************** from all three major credit bureaus. Until and unless Americollect can provide a valid signed agreement establishing a debtor-creditor relationship between myself and their company, their continued reporting of this alleged debt constitutes inaccurate, unverified, and potentially unlawful credit reporting.
      I request that the BBB keep this case open until Americollect fully resolves this matter by removing the accounts from my credit reports, not merely flagging them as "disputed."

      I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because: Im not liable to the debt   AMERICOLLECT *** sold to a third party, I haven't signed any paperwork signing off debt to another party, I never received notice of transfer of debt nor had a new contract made in my name, sent to me, signed by me, any debt sold to a third party is now the third party's debt not any other customers. I demand a correction of report and the account to be removed from my credit report.
