I have been living here at the **************** for six weeks. My card keys never work even if they dont go anywhere and theyre in their sleep. No, theyre not near the cell phone. No theyre not near any device. Every time I come home. I cant get in. I have to three stories down to the office. Sometimes they have to bring the machine up and plug it in to the door. This is a breach of contract and you can and are more thanlikely going to get sued. Its also a safety concern. A huge safety concern! If you come home after 5 PM, you have to wait one hour for the maintenance guy to drive all the way back from the west side where he lives. This is an every day occurrence and all they say is it cant be near any devices. Well its not near any devices, so now what?. I have been unable to work my second job because I know I will not be able to get in when I get home. This is ridiculous and a breach of contract.Business Response

nothing has been resolved. The only resolution is that I am leaving because theres been no resolution. this company does not take responsibility for their employees or their property or any issues that may arise because of the level of irresponsibility. I received a phone call and email from the regional manager yesterday. He is clueless of whats going on at this property and what has happened to me here. thats what you call a day late and a dollar short. The new management team here needs to be held responsible. I believe that this new regional manager may get things under control here, but I wont be here due to the irresponsibility of the current management.

On 04/28/2025 i moved into a weekly unit ********* in *********,**. I was overcharged I feel for my 5lb Chihuahua 150$ fee. Absurd to say the least. Nasty bathroom ceiling water bubbles, they say I can't smoke my cigarette inside unit. For 400$ a week Il smoke standing on refrigerator if I want to. Kids running all around parking lot after office close throwing rocks riding scooters and playing around people cars. No security here anymore. Too top if allll of I was cleaning my room which was supposedly cleared prior to my move in. I found nasty dope needles in top of shelving units attached to the wall. I safely gathered them up after having an anxiety attack from memories of my Aunt dying from heroin in 1994. I couldn't fathom how a person can cause harm to themselves. But with everything I said I just want them held reliable for they hiring of lazy workers. I don't want this to happen to anyone else especially if they have children that could have been deadly. I just want ************** district to be held liable. I took the needles to office. Ive been renting here for about 4 months and my complaint is that my room keys always stop working. I get off work at 6sm and have to wait toll 9sm to get into my room EVERY WEEK! i have to get th3m reprogrammed at least 3 timrs a week. I complsin **** and they tell me its my fault. Not the door handle that's 30 years old. Im tirrd of siuting outside dirty and tireduntil these people gets to work. And thats after i just worked 12 hours in a metal shop. We have reprogrammed the door lock and have provided rekeying with original card and additionally with a new card. We also provide a sleeve for the keys to ensure cards to not get demagnetized. These will need to be used to ensure this does not continue to happen.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:it has nothing to do with being locked out because they are faulty. The whole point of this is that I get locked out and can't get in after 230am. If your giving us two or sometimes three keys the question is why. Why two? In case ones faulty? My whole problem is that I'm tired of being stuck outside when I pay rent to stay inside. I'm not a problem ****** by far, I'm actually somewhat antisocial, but people can only take so much.

What is the point of the BBB of up can't help? I'm sitting outside again 5-7-2024 because the key in my hand doesn't work again and I have to wait till 830 to get into the place I pay rent to live in. Im totally disappointed in the BBB and won't be contacting you for anything again for the simple fact that I'm still going through this because they gave an explanation on how there services work and that's good enough for a (two?) I am going through an eviction. While reviewing my credit I discovered that The ****** Company had filed an eviction as well. I have never heard of this company as a manager entity. I then went to the courts website that the eviction was file and seen rhat the dates was in a year that I was already living somewhere else and had been there by that time for over a year. Then I went to there website to try to find the property name so that I could at the very least get a copy of their lease that would have my name and a signature and none of the properties are familiar. I have never live at any of them. I have tried call to speak with someone but they never answer. Another reason why I am filling this complaint is because another apartment complex has an collection against me. I hadn't lived at the property in over 5 years. The people staying there never removed my name from their lease after I moved out. When I got in contact with that leasing office manager I had him email me a copy of the last lease that he had and found that they had been forging my name on the lease. My name was also primary so when they left it was a collection that is in may name. Because these to issue and the other eviction that is truly mines I can't get a place to live and it is affecting my credit. I never received any type of documentation for the eviction or a notice to appear in court.Business Response

After doing research on this BBB complaint we have found that The person evicted from our boulder highway site has a very similar name that was actually evicted.
I have attached the paperwork hand delivered to the courts to take this off the record of the complainant and I have also attached the emails to the complainant for resolution. I rented an apartment last year for 8 months in ****** **. The lease ended in nov 2023, I moved to ********** and I returned the apartment with the keys and made the payment every month. Now I have been waiting for the documents and the check with my rent deposit and this company still saying that they sent it to my address in ********** since december, I asked them for a Tracking number of the package and they don't have any information. I moved into ******************** on May 26, 2022 and paid them a security deposit of $1775.00. There was also a non refundable deposit of $300.00 upon move in. I moved out on October 25, 2023 and gave them my forwarding address on my notice of intent to vacate, along with having provided them with my contact information (current phone number and email). It is now January 3, ***************************************************************************************** any deductions from the deposit. On December 28, 2023, I went in person to try to talk to the manager, she was not in the office, so I made sure they had my contact information and the employee in the office said she would let the manager know to contact me. I have still not been contacted in any way. They have been incredibly difficult to get in contact with at all, I call during office hours and they dont answer, I even stop by during office hours to talk in person and they are not in the office, and they do not return calls. In response to the complaint, I was able to go back and check the past file. We do not have a notice to vacate in writing from this tenant. We do have a refund payment in our office addressed to *************************** and ********************* that was found in their mailbox for unit A3, indicating a change of address was also not placed with the post office. A phone call was attempted on *****, but was not sent to voicemail. Unfortunately, we have had no other way to contact this past resident to return this payment. We are going to priority mail this refund to the address provided on this BBB complaint. The manager of ******************** is a multi-site manager, and it is likely she was at her other property when the past tenant stopped by, however the office staff has not received any voicemails left by this resident.

The other tenants name is not *********************, it is ***********************, yet another thing that the office could not file correctly. I know I submitted a notice of intent to vacate because I have it signed by the person working in the office, so for them to deny that just shows how much they lose paperwork and cannot complete their work correctly. I am also sure they had my contact information on file, because I had just turned in an updated list of our phone numbers and emails in September 2023. If I cannot deposit this check because it does not have the correct names on it, I expect you to correct it, because that is absolutely a mistake on your part. I went into the office to tell them MY name was changing from ************************* to ***************************, and yet they somehow mixed that up and changed my husbands name as well. And if the manager cannot handle managing multiple properties, maybe you should consider hiring additional managers for those properties, so mistakes like this do not happen.Customer Answer

Thank you for sharing your concern. Your apartment did experience some water damage and as per policy, we are working with the City of Lakewood to ensure all work is completed to meet their requirements, including any issues requiring permits.
Your statement that your home is covered in black mold does not match the notes from the inspection by the **************** in which they indicated that they would like us to continue to move forward with the processes in place, including the clean up of all bacterial growth.
At this time, as the work being done is meeting the City of Lakewood guidelines and the City of Lakewood has been on site numerous times to ensure the same, we will not be discussing a refund at this time.

I have lived there since May 25th, 2023, and on September 12th, 2023 I got home from work and they switched the locks/locked me out. They said it was a new policy, yet I was never given a clear, written notice of it prior to that day. The staff said they weren't sure of it, but led me to believe whatever I suggested to be true. I called corporate that day, and was told I'd be called back. I never heard from them or had any of my calls answered since; I blocked my number before calling them today and they answered, saying the manager of the property should've called me and offered no help, or policy, just dismissal. The property manager had also omitted to being in my apartment to change the locks, and she looked around my things too, because she said I don't have much to pack anyway. I was never given any documents of anything, and was allowed to pack a bag before being harassed out of there. I was told to return the following day for everything, and when I did I was immediately told to leave and come back 28days later, which is when my things would be thrown out by law. This company lost my keys that I turned in to them, lost my 30 day notice, and are charging me for paint that by law they have to do when leasing to a new tenant. In short lived their for 6 years was never late rent and went through 4 property management companies. I am rejecting this response because:I have proof of delivery on my 30 day notice and the keys being dropped off if I didn't drop the keys off you would of had to pay to rekey the mail box which you didn't. The office manager that was there was 2 women and now it's a man saying he was there since March which is a lie. You can't show proof because the woman who worked in that office left. So I say again you're the problem train your employees better to do their jobs and stop hiring liars. Your company could do better if you would be honest I agreed to pay cleaning costs but not the key fee and the wall paint, because by law you have to repaint the walls anyways. And I am not paying for a key fee or a month of rent when you were handed a 30 day notice on the 31st. And I have proof that you literally copy and paste these charges for anyone who leaves your properties.

It is already in the post I've attached pictures of the ********************************************* they didn't process the 30 day until the 17th of April which is laziness on their employees. Also the keys are in the envelope with the address on it I will repost the pictures but this company is lying saying they couldn't find my 30 day notice. The 1st picture is a screen shot of the date when I turned in the 30 day notice.
