On a recent trip to *******, we parked in a public parking lot. There was a pay machine located a short distance from our car. We paid for parking and went on our way. I have attached the receipt as proof of payment. Not even one hour later, we came out to the car and found a parking ticket on the windshield from diamond parking. At first, I didnt think much about it and thought it must just be an honest mistake but then I realize this has happened to me twice before although one time I caught the gentleman putting the ticket on my car and he did he did not complete issuing me a ticket. The second time I just paid it because I thought I mustve been wrong. This time however I knew I had paid and there should be no ticket after disputing the ticket with diamond parking. They informed me that no I paid the city of *******, but I didnt pay Diamond parking. Since when do you have to pay two people to park in a public lot the city of ******* and Diamond parking. I saw nothing obvious that mentioned anything about paying diamond parking other than the city of ******* parking payment machine. Upon looking through the Internet, I have found literally hundreds of other people this has happened to. Something is wrong with this picture. I will be investigating a potential class action lawsuit and will be contacting the state ************************ and the city of *******. This is absolutely not honest business. It is mind-boggling how a company like diamond parking can get away with this scam.

      Hello *****,

I sincerely apologize that you encountered a parking issue during your trip to *******. We do not accept kiosk payments at the chosen location. We advertise multiple mobile payment options throughout the property.Due to your unintentional error, we reduced the notice to the price of parking and encouraged you to seek a refund from the city due to not utilizing street parking. The notice for $75.50 was reduced to the price of parking ($16.49) and is currently paid in full. Due to the courtesy reduction, a $75.00 refund cannot be given at this time due to not receiving those funds.  I will reach out to the City of ******* as well to let them know their kiosk machine faces our parking lot and causes confusion for our customers. We value your feedback and hope to better exceed your expectations in the future.

      Thank you,

I am not sure if someone is just standing around to hand out these tickets because this is getting crazy. One was issued to me 7 mins after I parked. I was inside using the bathroom and then got my table and I already paid for parking. You can see by the photos the time differences between ticket submission and my paid parking.

In *************, **, we parked for 20 mins under signage of the lot behind Handels (6/25/25) stating if you were visiting that specific building, parking was free at that time. When we returned to our vehicle that evening (at 7:55PM), we noticed a ticket for parking under this sign. We looked all over for numbers in the spaces and did not see any when we parked. The company intentionally does not number spaces and placed the ones were supposed to park in on the complete opposite side of the parking lot of the establishment we visited. It was not visible, and not remotely close to the establishment we went to enter. Every effort was made to pay to park, if necessary, and we read this sign thoroughly. This is blatantly misleading and we should not received a violation given the good faith effort we took knowing parking was provided. I contacted the company and they reduced the fee to half, but it should have been credited 100%.

      Case ID# **********

      Dear ******* **********,

I have been forwarded the complaint regarding the above-referenced case number for review and response.

Based on the notice number and documentation provided in your email correspondence to both the BBB and Diamond Parking, it shows that your vehicle was parked in a 24/7 paid public parking stall located at ****************************************

You first contacted our Parking Services department on June 26, 2025, to appeal the notice. At that time, our customer ********************** representative explained that you were not parked in one of the designated numbered stalls (4777) that offer 2 hours of complimentary parking for businesses located at ******************, where Handels Ice Cream is located. Instead, your vehicle was parked in a 24/7 paid parking stall.
There are more than 12 signs posted throughout the lot and at the entrances clearly outlining the parking rules. The complimentary numbered stalls (4777) are marked and located on the east side of the lot.

At this time, we will offer a one-time courtesy void for notice #********** and issue a refund of $31.50 pertaining to the reduction that you were given and have already paid.

      Sincerely,

      DIAMOND PARKING SERVICES

On June 21st, 2025, I returned to my vehicle after fishing with my son at **********, located in *********, ****** to discover there was a ticket on my windshield from a Diamond Parking Service employee. It stated that i was "improperly parked" due to not being parked against the fence. There is no posted signs at the location stating i had to be parked against the fence (nor on the website I payed the initial fee), we returned an hour before our alotted parking time expired, and when I emailed the customer support address with photos showing this, they told me "There are signs around the lot stating that parking is along the fence only" and that I still have to pay the fee. that day, I was also approached by a Bait Shack employee (the lot is less than 50ft from the shop) and they informed me that the Anchorage branch of Diamond Parking has been imposing incorrect fees on people for the exact same thing as of late.

      Hello,

Parking spaces on this lot are designated by numbered stalls with pay option signage posted along the fence line. On the day in question, the designated parking spots were full, so the customer decided to double park, which could cause correctly parked customers to have an issue exiting the lot safely. Because of this, a violation for being improperly parked was issued. There is also signage on the lot that states parking is along the fence line only, which I have attached.

I parked at a lot owned by Diamond Parking Service on 6/20/2025 and followed instructions on their signage to submit payment using the Park Mobile application on my iPhone. The payment was made using Apple Pay, and I received a confirmation from ***** Pay that the appropriate amount of $5.35 was tendered to Diamond. Diamond is now claiming that I did not pay and is demanding $55.50-92.00. I have exchanged numerous emails with their support department and have provided them with a copy of the ApplePay receipt, but they are demanding that I provide more proof of payment. I have explained that I did not receive any notice from Diamond in the form of an email or text, suggesting that a problem exists with their system of recording payments from the Park Mobile app that they demand be used, or with their own accounting system. They continue to demand more information or payment despite my numerous attempts to explain that the payment was made, and that their must be an error in their process.

Hello Mr. ***************** am the Area Manager for ******* and handled your recent appeal.  I received the appeal on Saturday, June 28th and approved a void of that notice on Sunday June, 29th.  The reason the notice was issued and consequently, our customer ********************** department had difficulty finding proof of payment was the license plate was entered with one mistake.  The plate was entered with the letter O rather than the number 0.  A very common error that can cause quite a bit of confusion.  I do apologize for the inconvenience and delay in resolution.  Again, the notice has been voided and no further action is needed on your part.  Thank you and have a good day.

Diamond parking has issued me a parking payment notice despite them being in violation of municipal bylaws. I received an $84 parking notice while parked in a lot attached directly to a free public parking lot with no clear or attempted divide. There were no signs in front of the stalls designating them as private or assigned, and only one general sign in a non-visible area at ground height tucked in a corner. The **** to enforce private parking is on the property owner and any attempt to collect payment or, even more egregiously towing vehicles while not meeting a legally required standard is unprofessional and unlawful.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/03/2025

      Hello,

      Our
goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a
mutual resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future.

      This location is private
property, not public municipal parking, and has the parking rules posted
throughout the lot.  It is to be monitored at the request of the property
manager, and Diamond Parking is provided a list of specific rules and is contracted
to enforce by ticketing and/or towing based on the challenges the location
faces due to unauthorized use.  I have reviewed this notice and see it was
issued for unauthorized parking – as the vehicle was not registered.
There are multiple signs behind the vehicle advising of the rules/restrictions.
Should the posted rules not be followed the vehicle is at risk of being
ticketed and/or towed at the vehicle owners expense as this is private
property. All visitors are required to sign in through the virtual online
registration system *immediately upon arrival as per Strata Board/Property
Management, regardless of how long the vehicle is parked for. All tenants are
informed of this requirement, and the patroller gave a 10-minute grace time
before issuing the notice.  I see that the notice was appealed online and
cancelled as a one-time courtesy.  Thank you.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, you should know that even private parking lots that are not run by the municipality must comply with local bylaws in order to enforce via towing or tickets. There was only one, ground level sign despite what you are claiming and absolutely nothing in front of or behind the parking stalls. If this is not your responsibility, maybe you should let your client know.

      Sincerely,

I parked at a lot operated by Diamond Parking in ******* located at ********************************. ********** has a relationship and offers free parking in that lot as long as you register. I registered my car online using their system.I wound up receiving a ticket. The ticket had instructions to reply by email within 5 days. I replied explaining the situation.Despite the fact that I was entitled to free parking, Diamond is attempting to charge me a "Notice Fee" of "$26.48 including taxes and fees." They claim that I broke their terms and conditions but I don't understand how that's possible. Either way, I was entitled to park there for free, so it doesn't make sense to be charged now!Since I was entitled to park there for free, the "fee" seems outrageous.

I am filing a complaint against Diamond Parking Services for issuing a parking violation notice (Ref# **********) on June 5, 2025, at ********************************************* I had paid for parking at that exact time and location through a different provider clearly indicated on signage at the lot. Diamond Parking was not identified anywhere as the official operator. The violation reason listed is "No Advanced (Fees)" an unclear and unprofessional explanation. The citation itself is printed in black and white, with low image quality and no official security features. Furthermore, the car make is listed as OTHE, suggesting the information was guessed or entered without proper verification.I believe this citation is either a scam or an unlawful action taken by Diamond Parking Services over a lot they do not manage. I have attached proof of valid payment and images of the signage showing another parking provider.I contacted the company by email but have not received a resolution. I am requesting BBBs assistance to:- Investigate the legitimacy of this citation,- Require Diamond Parking Services to void the notice,- Prevent similar misleading or predatory behavior in the future.Thank you for your help.

The customer used ******** to pay for their **********************, and they are a third-party vendor that is not associated with Diamond Parking in *********. Because of this, we were not able to locate a payment for the customers vehicle in our license plate based system and issued a ********************** citation for non-payment. 5037, the lot in question is owned and managed by Diamond Parking and the citation that was issued is legitimate. The customer was made aware of their mistake during the appeals process and was offered a reduction on the citation.
