    We nonEnglish speaking received a camera driving ticket, but he wasnt the driver it was clearly a woman in the photo. In *********, if the person in the photo isnt the registered owner and the owner doesnt know who was driving, the ticket gets dropped. We booked this case by calling Off The Record and provided all the necessary information over the phone. At no point were we informed that we would need to sign into their portal or respond to your attorney through it.Their attorney proceeded to request a traffic school option without our consent and we could have done this ourselves without contesting the case and go through the correct.

    I was issued a speeding ticket on May 27, 2024. I filed the ticket with the ***** ********* through the OffTheRecord app. I asked if they were going to appear in court on the date, and they said the case has not been filed in the system. Its been well over a year, and the ticket still does not appear in the court system. This means in the state of **********, the statute of limitations has been reached, and the ticket is dismissed. I contacted OffTheRecord for a refund, and they said I could not receive a refund as their policy states. I called the law group, who had the funds released to them, and they said they would not issue a refund as well. The excuse I was given is they monitored the case, even though I had reached out to them to seek updates on the case. I essentially paid for no service, and they want to keep my payment even though the ticket expired on its own.

    I purchased legal services and paid $600 through Off The Record on May 1, 2025, to have an attorney handle my traffic violation. While the attorney initially informed me that there was no money-back guarantee, after the case was resolved on June 24, 2025, I received both a text message and an in-app notification from Off The Record on June 25, 2025, stating that my traffic violation had not been reduced and that I would receive a full refund.However, when I followed up with Off The Record to inquire about the refund, I was told that the message had been sent in error and that no refund would be issued. I find this response unacceptable. The refund notice came directly from their platform and created a clear and legitimate expectation that I would be reimbursed. I relied on that communication in good faith, and I respectfully request that you honor the refund as stated.

    This company provider an unqualified lawyer. Miss my deadline on ticket no responses for several weeks. Told me he had no chance to win and offered a solution worse then before the case started with additonial costs. The company acknowledged this was a scam. They then provided terms and conditions stating it is not a dismal needed to get a refund as it is advertised on the site. Blocked me and put the case as resolved after I mentioned disputing.

    I hired Off The Record to represent me for a speeding ticket issued in ******, **********. Immediately after submitting my case, I informed them that the name on the citation was incorrect ; it listed someone elses name with a similar spelling. I raised this concern early through their messaging platform, expecting it to be addressed.However, the name was never corrected in the court system. Despite this, the attorney entered a plea on my behalf under the wrong name, which raises serious concerns about procedural validity and due diligence. At no point was I informed of any actions taken to correct the name or challenge the citation based on the mismatch.The final result was a default to traffic school, an outcome I could have easily achieved on my own without paying a legal fee. I saw no evidence of the attorney negotiating with the court, seeking a dismissal, or exploring any alternative resolution. There was no fine reduction or added value provided.When I requested a refund, I was told that traffic school was considered a successful outcome and thus not eligible under their refund policy. However, their BBB profile states that refunds wont be issued if the attorney gets a deal not previously available but in my case, traffic school was already an option from the outset and required no legal *********** core issue is not with the result itself, but with the fact that:- My name remained incorrect in official records, despite reporting the error;- There is no transparency about the legal work done on my behalf;- The outcome was functionally the same as self-representation;- The attorney acted under a name that is not legally mine.

    I pay for legal council. And did not get that. The lawyer does not respond back to me until weeks later. She do not follow through with any of her promiseshe did not respond to me for a week and now that is 2 days before court. She sent me a message with a whole bunch of lies. As if me and her have not talked and she has not made me certain promises. I provided her paperwork to fight on my case which she has not Done i Came to Her with a total of $5500 to pay out to the told. Me. They can get these cases dismissed on top of her charge. Me $3100. She comes back and tell me for one of the courts. I need to pay 2200 which that brings me to 5300. I asked her to give me my money back because of insufficient representation and she said she would now she's not responding or calling me back and I have all proof

    I hired off the record to contest a $280 speeding ticket and paid a $175 fee for their services. The outcome of their representation was only a minor reduction to $207 and traffic school, resulting in a total cost of $382 significantly more than the original fine. I reached out to express my concern and requested a partial refund, as the financial result was worse than if I had simply paid the ticket. The firm refused, stating that traffic school made the case a success, despite it being a standard option in many cases. I believe their marketing was misleading, and the service failed to deliver a meaningful benefit. I am requesting a partial refund to reflect the unsatisfactory outcome and prevent others from experiencing similar financial harm.

    I received a ticket for speeding hired a lawyer through the website the attorney went to court and got nothing nodismissal no reduction no driving school so based on that experience and based on what their website says if you dont get any kind of reduction or an outcome that wasnt previously available i should get a refund and when i asked for it they all the sudden said that their algorithm says my case doesn't fit the criteria of a case thats eligible for a refund

    I paid for their lawyer service to hire a lawyer to fight a traffic ticket that was illegally issued to me. Instead of fighting it the moron attorney they appointed to my case went behind my back and agreed to a "deal" despite me telling him repeatedly to not do so. This would have been dismissed in court but instead the greedy attorney wanted to pass the case through as soon as possible so he could collect easy money for doing nothing. He never educated him on any of the facts in the case and all he did was meet with the prosecutor on zoom 3 times.

    I hired an attorney through this service for a traffic ticket on December 8, 2024, paid their $260 fee, and uploaded all required information. While a law firm accepted my case within the promised timeframe, communication was primarily through an assistant via an in-app chat. My initial court date of January 3, 2025, was removed without direct communication from the attorney. Despite my attempts to follow up, I received a "Notice of Failure to Appear." I later discovered my new court date was May 5, 2025. The assistant assured me the attorney would appear on my behalf and contact me with options beforehand, which never happened. On the day of the hearing, the attorney was a no-show. Despite the lack of representation, "Off The Record" refused a refund, stating that because the attorney eventually provided an option (after I complained), their service was fulfilled. As a result, I am now obligated to pay an additional $200 to the court, effectively paying $460 for no actual legal representation. This service not only failed to deliver on its promise but also cost me more money and significant frustration.
