I generally like using Amazon, however, I recently had them censor one of my reviews because they didn't agree with the content. They claim I didn't meet their community standards, but I believe they are misusing this as an excuse to commit anti-consumer censorship. At any rate it's a dishonest and unethical practice. Given it deals with a seal on a food product, it should even fall under a health and safety issue. I'm this case, not allowing me to warning others of the issue should be illegal. I purchased a whey protein powder mix on a significant sale. It arrived in a box with the side kicked in, and there was a dent in the actual container right where said kick was on the box. The container was also visibly leaking powder upon touch, despite the seal they're supposed to have under the lid. I recorded when opening the product so I have proof. I tried to return it over the broken seal and was told it was not eligible for return. I eventually opened to use it because it just costs too much to toss. When I went to review the product, I covered the product taste, how easy it is to mix, and if I thought it was worth the current price ($85 now). I also briefly discussed how it arrived with a broken seal and I wasn't allowed to return it. All of this is useful information for potential customers to consider. Although it mentions the shipment, it is neither the focus nor the majority of the review. This was straight-up just a dishonest anti-consumer practice.

Amazon claims to have an A-to-Z Guarantee for products purchased through their website, even those that come from other vendors. I purchased a shower surround through the Amazon website and fulfilled by a third party. It arrived in a semi on a 7ft by 3ft pallet and when it arrived it was broken and unsafe. I needed it ASAP so I went to a local seller and purchased one they had in stock and began the process of returning the defective/unsafe product purchased through Amazon. I also had surgery during this time and cannot lift more than 30 pounds. The 3rd party seller sent me a return label through **** but it came in a semi on a large pallet and I could not lift or package it for transport on a pallet. Then I called and was given a website to schedule a pickup, but the website would not allow me to schedule it and did not indicate what error was keeping me from scheduling. After several unsuccessful calls/emails to the seller and Amazon ***************** I talked to someone in **********************'s A-to-Z Guarantee area. They put me on hold and said they would talk with their supervisor. When she returned to my call, she told me that it might take a week, but Amazon would refund me and I did not need to return the defective product. A few days later I got an email from Amazon's A-to-Z Guarantee stating my claim was denied but I could appeal the decision. I appealed and they upheld their denial of my claim with no opportunity to discuss why they denied my claim or any other appeal. I'm out $1,722.69 and can't do a thing. Thanks a lot Amazon.

To make it brief, I had seen that an item was deeply discounted on Amazon, and I wanted to purchase it. It had been probably around 10 years since I last had an active account with **********************, so I created a new on, validated it, and made the purchase. I quickly received my confirmation email for the purchase, and everything seemed fine.About an hour later, though, I received another email, stating that I had "consistently requested refunds for a large number of orders," that my order was canceled and the account was closed. Obviously, this is objectively false, as I had just opened the account, and only made a single purchase only about an hour before.I did some Googling, and came across a ton of very similar stories, including an entire thread of hundreds of stories on Reddit. In many cases, the customers would have gift card or other money balances on their accounts that would simply be lost to them, because Amazon would refuse to reopen the accounts, or actually try to really work with the customer to resolve the problems being had. In virtually every case, the customer would attempt using the customer service system's email, but would only receive canned robo responses that almost never had anything to do with the issues at hand. And apparently, calling would only get you rude reps that wouldn't give out any information, and attempt to force the customer back to the useless emailing.Obviously, seeing so many stories that were nearly the same every time, from what seems to be thousands of people, I decided that attempting to engage with the company through their customer service system would be completely fruitless, and I have reported this disgusting abuse here to the BBB, as well as to the Federal Trade Comission, and I have requested that Amazon be forced to overhaul their customer service system and stop their awful practices they have been employing for so many years. Don't know how far that will actually go, but hopefully it's a start to change.

I cancelled my membership with Amazon prime in December of 2022. They continued to take my $15.99 monthly payment for the next 10 months. I disputed the it and lost. As far as I'm concerned Amazon is run by thieves. They will never get my business again! They owe me $159.90!

I ordered a couple of sets of dinning seat covers. One set was posted as being delivered but it wasn't delivered at my address that's on the account, in fact it was a fraudulent picture of the residence where it was supposedly delivered. I lived at the address four years ago and I know that the residence doesn't look like the picture. I asked for a refund and a specialist at Amazon refused to make the refund. My total payment was for $52.27. I need help getting my money because I don't have the products.

I had the sorest experience ever with amazon US, I ordered stuff for more that 400$ and I needed to return some of it as they ended up sending me double items and some things I didnt even order. I have been charged for their mistake for *** to pick up the items plus international phone calls for 2 hrs to issue refund and return the items they picked up by mistake as they ended up waving all my item and returned it with out me even being informed. Some items did not as to be returned they took it away.It is a mess, they are not professional and zero communication skills, they dont keep record of customers complaints so I have to waste time and money telling my story every time I call Horrible never again

I placed an order for same day delivery and for 1 the delivery person didnt follow instructions. When I contacted amazon I was told it would arrive end of the day 9/15. Never came. I spoke with several customer service representatives all they could do was offfer a replacement that wouldnt come same day in fact items would be delivered all the way up to 9/25. Unacceptable. Oh let me offer you a $5 promo for the inconvenience. I lost $41 dollars worth stuff and order that should have come same day, Amazon you are joke. You can replace my order at your expense for same day.

I've been dealing with the worst customer service of my life. I purchased an item that was falsely advertised I realized before I opened it and immediately returned it. After waiting and then calling customer service I was lied to numerous times. They changed the date of me refund 4 times then deleted my return code so it looked like I didn't return it. I spoke to a supervisor supposedly named Happiness who was rude and condescending and not helpful at all. I'm disabled and have limited income so this is definitely not ok. So disappointed and frustrated.

Amazon damaged my item (sold by Amazon) in shipping and alerted me they would not be delivering it. There was no way for me to check the status of my refund online. I was forced to go through several non-relevant chat menus before I could get a phone call. I was told there was no way for the customer service representative to refund me for the item Amazon damaged and didnt deliver until they eventually get it back to their warehouse plus 3-5 business days. I had to demand to be transferred to a supervisor in order to receive what would be standard policy for any legitimate business.
