Amazons business model is designed primarily to allow third party vendors to sell on its platform. Unfortunately it vets neither the vendors nor their merchandise and instead leaves that for the customer. Most of the vendors are Chinese and falsely advertise the quality of items that they are selling and have false reviews. Basically, you cant believe anything from these vendors. You will spend countless hours of frustration returning their shoddy wares. In my opinion, Amazon is just as guilty as the vendors, it knows exactly what it is doing, making the customer do its work. Shame on you **********************. The better business bureau in every state should be firmly attached to Amazons unethical business a**

Very upset. Made an order on prime day for over $400 for my business. Amazon outsourced the shipment to *** and they delivered it in a different city. After 15 calls, countless transfers, and forcing me to file two separate police reports for a stolen package, and even having police call them in a conference call, they refused to honor the prime day order and finally offered a refund, but they are telling me I have to wait for their system to verify the report which means it could be rejected again. Which means I now have to spend over 50% more for each item which would cost me over $650 for the same order. A multi billion dollar corporation and they cannot honor that??? I mean come on Amazon. After all of this hassle you would think the least you could do is honor the prime day deals. Fix this problem!!! Im still waiting for a resolution.

I attempted to order a vacuum from Amazon. Upon receiving the item, I immediately opened the box and see that the vacuum inside the box is not the same color as what was shown in the description. I started a return. A few days later Amazon confirmed that they received the item, however I waited over 2 weeks and did not receive my refund. This morning I received an email from Amazon saying that I will not be issued a refund because the item received was used and is a different vacuum.....That was the whole reason i returned the vaccum, it is not what i ordered!!!!! I'm not sure if the item was used because as soon as I saw that it was a different color, I didnt even bother taking it out of the box. I have been swapping emailing back and forth a couple of times with Amazon and they insist that I am not getting my refund. I paid over $400 for this vacuum. This is not the first time I received the wrong or used item from Amazon. Also now reading the reviews for the vacuum, there were at least 2 other people who was sent the wrong or used vaccum. This is unacceptable and I want my refund.

I am an amazon prime member. A few weeks ago they locked my account stating that my account had suspicious activity. They requested information from me. Bank information of the card on file, the last few items I ordered, and people I send items too. After sending all the requests they locked my account with no explanation. I spoke to several representatives and they told me they did not have to give me an explanation and I should open a new account. I just want my account reopen. I had gift cards saved on the account that I have lost due to this issue. Help please!

Furthermore, I was looking forward to taking advantage of the Prime Day sales event to purchase a TV. However, I never received an invitation to participate, even though I am a long-standing Prime member. The lack of access to Prime Day deals left me feeling excluded and disappointed.Lastly, I recently ordered a perfume as a Prime member, and I was informed that I would have to wait for 15 days for its delivery. This extended delay was unexpected and does not align with the service quality I have come to expect from Amazon over the years.I believe it is time for Amazon to focus on finding solutions rather than making excuses. As a loyal customer, I have always valued the convenience and reliability of Amazon's services, and I hope to see improvements in the areas I have mentioned. It is crucial for Amazon to enhance the customer experience and ensure that ********************** members receive the benefits they were promised.I kindly request that you investigate the issues I have raised and take appropriate actions to resolve them promptly. I believe that addressing these concerns will not only improve my shopping experience but also reflect positively on Amazon's commitment to customer satisfaction.I look forward to your prompt response and resolution to the problems I have encountered. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Amazon has begun to lie to consumers of (at least) electronic and tech related products. They will have a listing on their site showing as a new (non-refurbished) device, but actually show and sell you a refurbished device instead. The item name and description will never show nor list that the item is refurbished. The only place that mentions this in the small purchase box on the right, below the large buttons for Adding to Cart or Buy Now, where it will show the refurbished good in small and unassuming text. This is a Dark Pattern that will cause many people to purchase inferior or defective products that they never wanted to get a hold of in the first place.I think this is something that the BBB should be watching carefully, and possibly start the move on some changes that will avoid this from happening in the future.

At the recommendation of my post-graduate supervisor, I commanded "Marketing Accountability: A New Metrics Model to ***************** Effectiveness" by ******************************* on Amazon on September 21, 2023.Since the delivery was expected between October 3 and October 16, I didn't pay too much attention as I was expecting an email on delivery.Today (October 14, 2023), I decided to check on my Amazon account what was happening with my delivery. It turns out that the focal item was supposedly delivered on September 27 - at least one week before the expected delivery range. Yet, as I look at my email, I never received any notification that the shipping was delivered...For God's sake, how is a normal customer supposed to do their due diligence with their shipping if the goods are delivered outside of the expected date range and the carrier doesn't even bother to notify the recipient that the delivery has been done?Naturally, being a post-graduate student living with less than $12,000 of yearly income, I try to request refunding. No way to chat with customer support and the chatbot says banality about it is the sellers problem and not theirs. Then, I requested a phone call and yet another automatic voice-robot saying the exact same banality. With no other choice, I tried to contact the vendor via their system and didnt even get an email proving that I contacted them so I could make a reclamation to my credit card provider under the Consumer Protector Act.Exasperated, I wrote a bad review on the product describing the exact same problem, which naturally was silenced by their moderation team.Good job Amazon on making it impossible for the poorest people in society to get a refund and doing such a good job managing your reputation on your own platform (owned media). Its a shame that there are independent platforms on which exasperated customers can do negative eWOM without your interference, though

Amazon has gone from a great company with great customer service to a big business that manipulates customer reviews and customer service that does nothing to resolve customer complaints. I placed a time sensitive prime delivery order on 10/6/23 for 2 gallons of expensive deck paint. The delivery date was 10/10/23. I never received a shipping notice so on 10/13/23 I traced the order. The carrier reported the other damaged and returned to Amazon on 10/7/23.. I have hired a painter at $300/day and Amazon customer service told me I will have to wait until 10/24/23 or 10/26/23 and try again to get a refund or replacement. I need the paint now and have no choice but to buy replacement paint locally. Meanwhile Amazon refuses to refund my money and I have no idea if they ever will. I don't want to get stuck with $250 off paint I no longer need but I'm at the mercy of the Amazon giant. I hope the public will realize that the Amazon we have done business with in the past is gone. BUYER BEWARE !!!

Treated like a criminal - used wifes CC on purchase with same billing address and they close access to my acct, requesting an endless number of photos, documentation etv only to at the end of it say they cant restore access despite it all being legit and exactly what they asked for, All of these emails are sent from no-reply so you cant even discuss the matter with them. I am unable to create a new account or access my old one or communicate with anyone because I have no account access. Its an endless circle. Amazon is a POS company.

I am getting really sick and tired of them unable to meet delivery dates posted on items. You pay so much for membership, yet they no longer deliver to their promises.
