1 starOur experience took place in **. When I choose **************, ** location to leave a review, it links to this ******* 2017, my parents purchased cremation services through Smart Cremations to assist our family with pre-planned arrangements and costs. My mom passed in the hospital on Thanksgiving day, 12/27. Communication from our "arranger" was very poor from start to finish, and had to be initiated by me on every occasion. Entire cremation process took 29 days to complete. I would not recommend this pre-paid approach. More compassionate and timely service would come from dealing with a mortuary directly.Review fromAnthony S

1 starIt seems like all of the reviews come from people who sat through the presentation. My review is from the perspective of The grieving family trying to deal with this company. The reason for my review is the lack of communication and empathy, the first representative that was handling our case was covering someone else on vacation and had zero remorse. Just needed paperwork filled out luckily they did confirm the information they had first death certificate because the birth year was wrong so we were able to correct things and get the birth certificate in a timely manner. However when it came to my father's remains. We were to have been notified when the remains went out to be shipped to us so someone could be there to receive them I did not want my mother to deal with the burden of this. And without warning my mother gets a sign for a package at the door with Dad's remains in it no communication luckily he didn't bounce back and forth in the mail because they didn't let us know that they shipped him. This unexpected surprise upset my mother immensely.

5 starsOur family would like to thank ******* ***** for being very caring and thoughtful with our family throughout the entire cremation process. We all know that times like this are very stressful and painful and it really helped that ******* was kind and compassionate. She explained the entire process to us from the picking up of our Aunts body to the ordering of death certificates and all other facets of the cremation process. She even made sure we knew when our Aunts ashes would be ready for us. The whole process was smooth and allowed us to grieve without the hassles of arranging for her burial. The fact that our Aunt prearranged, preplanned and prepaid for her burial with Smart Cremation was wonderful. Again it allowed us to grieve her loss without all the hassles involved in dealing with the death of a loved one. I like the idea of having a pre-arranged plan, so the burden is not on my family. The price is very reasonable. My brother-in-aw referred me to Smart Cremation. 5 stars***** was very professional and knowledgeable. He answered everyone's questions. The plan includes more than just cremating our bodies! We purchased the plan because it was affordable and now our oldest daughter will KNOW what our final wishes are. She won't have to go through what we did when my father passed. We will be purchasing a plan for our special daughter very soon! Thank you ***** for giving us Peace of Mind. If you aren't sure about being buried or cremated, give Smart Cremation a chance, listen to what they have to say. At least then you can make an informed decision. Plus, there was a total of ZERO pressure to purchase the plan.Smart Cremation

5 starsMy wife and I were extremely pleased with the process of creating a final transition plan for our passing that SMART cremation helped us prepare.The agent (***********************) was patient, knowledgeable and through in working through our planning our final years. He also explained how the process will help make things much easier for a surviving spouse or adult children.Knowing that things will be easily handled on a prepaid cost basis irrespective of where we are in the world is extremely comforting.My wife and I are pleased to recommend SMART cremation and *********************** to anyone considering this planning process to make an inevitable event easier.
