I was buying a singular bag of chicken nuggets, and standing in the self checkout line, because I was purchasing a singular bag of chicken nuggets. A lady came up and said she needed to see my membership card. I have to show my membership card to get in, but, whatever, I showed her my membership card. And she said no, I need you to take it out so I can see both sides with the picture, so I handed her back her bag of chicken nuggets, and walked out.I pay for an executive membership for my entire family, and I have a Costco credit card. Im not paying a yearly fee to get harassed in a self check out line over a single bag of chicken nuggets. In fact, EVERYTIME I get harassed in the self check out line, I am going to simply surrender my groceries and leave, and you can deal with the product loss. Not my problem. If you need to see BOTH sides of my membership card, then check it at the door. If you are THAT worried about your self check out machines, then stop being lazy and set them up to require you to scan your membership card to check out, or, rip out the self check outs and add more registers so you can obsess over your membership cards with the little picture.Walmart is always just up the road, and they got cheap prices too.

I ordered a very expensive range from Costco. Almost $4k with taxes. It was supposed to be delivered Aug 2.Costco cancelled delivery with no explanation or new date. This morning, I got a text message from Costco saying the delivery was coming TODAY at 2:00. We scrambled to get the old appliance disconnected, per Costco instructions. The new appliance never arrived. I called customer service and was told that the earliest the appliance can arrive is Aug 14. The *** said she didn't know why I received the text and had no authority to help me other than to apologize and schedule the delivery. This certainly wasn't the fault of some poor call center worker. But to Costco logistics, I say, "you suck; do better!" This is my first and last major purchase from Costco.

After reviewing Costco's check acceptance policy on their website I decided to drive the 102 miles (one way) from my driveway to their nearest location in *************, OR. I loaded up a cart with some items that I wanted to purchase and proceeded to the checkout line. The cashier seemed willing to take the check and was verifying info on my state issued ID and then asked another employee if there was any other information she needed to verify/add to the check. The other employee asked how old my membership was and I stated that it was just over a week old, to which she replied that she'd have to get manager approval. Upon her return she stated that Costco does not accept checks from memberships less than 3 months old and asked if I had another form of payment. I replied that I did not and she immediately voided the transaction and handed me back my check, ID and membership card. Not only was I embarrassed for having an accepted payment method refused, I feel that the demeanor of the 2nd employee was very unprofessional and I left the store feeling like they thought I was trying to rip them off. I chatted with an agent working for their customer service department that advised me it's an unwritten store policy to not accept checks for newer memberships. Had the website stated this I would have waited until I could have gone to the bank and got cash so that I could have actually made the purchases I drove 204 miles for and not been made to feel like I was trying to rip the company off. I don't think it's that hard to add a line to their check acceptance policy stating new memberships cannot write checks. Another idea, be like other stores and have the ability to run the check through a device that can verify funds immediately. A tank of gas in my truck. 4 hours wasted and being made to feel like a dirt bag. Thanks Costco!

I've been a member for several years and understand that you're not allowed to share your membership card. This has never been an issue for me because I've never shared my card. My issue is Costco is trying to crack down on those sharing cards - and treating those of us members who have never been a problem like criminals. To get in to shop, I had to show my card and the person asked to see the picture. Not a problem. Then when I was ready to go to self checkout, someone again stopped me and said she had to check my ID. A little annoyed, but I showed it again. Then at the self checkout, they had an employee (why? It's self checkout!) who didn't know what she was doing but wanted to see my ID a third time. At this point they're making me feel like I did something wrong. Then of course, I have to stand in line to leave the store. Why? If you're checking everything everyone is doing - why are there 4 employees need - 3 to check my ID and 1 to check my receipt? They've lost me as a member - and I was a paying member.Plus - their website won't let me change shipping to my zip code - it keeps defaulting to some random zip code and won't let me change it.

We purchased a washing machine on July 20, 2023. When we placed the order, the order details on the Costco App (Costco Online) stated the installation and delivery would was scheduled for August 1, 2023. We also received an email stating the same. We got to August 1, 2023 and did not receive a phone call or email confirming the delivery. I chatted with a representative who proceeded to tell me that the dates are estimates only and that the washing machine had not even shipped yet. We were here today anticipating a washing machine but, now we need to wait until it is shipped and receive by the delivery company to get a delivery date. This is just wrong. There was nothing that they could do!! Really? You are going without a washing machine for weeks and are anticipating that it will arrive on a specific date and then have to go an shop elsewhere.

I am utterly disappointed in my recent shopping experience with Costco, and it deeply saddens me to write this review as a loyal executive member. The poor installation of the appliance and the lack of satisfactory customer service I encountered left me feeling let down by a company I once held in high regard.I recently purchased a dryer from Costco, and the installation process was an absolute nightmare. The installer appeared to have little regard for the proper procedures, resulting in a shoddy job. It was such a subpar installation that the duct vent actually detached after only one use! This is unacceptable and far below the standards that I had come to expect from Costco. However, the real ordeal began when I reached out to Costco's customer support for help. I was bounced around between various departments, each seemingly more eager than the last to pass off the responsibility. Not once did I feel like my concerns were truly being addressed, but rather that I was being given the runaround. This lack of accountability and evasiveness left me both frustrated and disappointed.I have been a loyal executive member of Costco for years, but this experience has thoroughly soured my opinion of the company. If Costco is unable to stand behind its products and offer a satisfactory solution when things go awry, then they certainly don't deserve my patronage. This experience has been a significant waste of my time, and it is with regret that I must say this will be the last time I shop at Costco. The blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and the sheer lack of integrity are deal-breakers for me. It is disheartening to feel abandoned by a company you trusted for so long.I hope Costco takes this review to heart and makes a concerted effort to improve their installation service and customer support. It would be a shame for others to experience the same letdown that I did.

************ **** location. We are getting harassed. We are being asked to show our cards at the checkout lines aside from showing them to the cashier. There's a lady who is stereotyping customers and will start talking to them in Spanish without asking if they even understand her. She is just assuming they only speak Spanish. When I've talked to her in English, this employee just continues to harass us in Spanish. She keep going around with a scanner to get people's membership information. I do not appreciate being stereotyped or harassed. I've enjoy shopping at this location in the past, but have started having trouble with this the last few times. I've been a member for many years. This is unacceptable and unprofessional of costco to accept this type of behavior from employees.

I had a wonderful experience with the Eyeglass Center at the ****** Costco store. I worked with **** who was professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. I had to change my order the following day and **** went above and beyond to help with my request. Initially, I thought that the new request was too late to be processed, but **** was able to work some magic and tracked me down later that day. It was a pleasure to work with someone that takes pride in their work and cares about her customers.
