This is about classmates.com, to go with the other big pile of complaints about them taking money theyre not supposed to. I make sure that I do not ever use automatic renewal on anything because Im on a fixed income. (retired) I tried the three month trial for $10.50 or whatever and I made sure that its not an automatic renewal. Well, I just talked to the *** on the phone in ****************. He is basically a jerk and said..we dont give refunds.we tell you that its renewal only or else you cant sign up. well, thats a lie all by itself. I dont have an account order a tracking number on this. ilI talk to my CU about a paper trail on Mon. I just want my $21.58 back. they just took it out yesterday. My credit union discussed it with me she said lets go over your withdrawals. And she told me this one for $21.58 or something like that for classmates.com.I said no no no! I did the trial thing for $10 and whatever for three months I do not do automatic withdrawals because they take it out when they want. Not when they r suppose to. Ive had this experience before with my house insurance trying to take it out twice a month and mess my account up I dont do that anymore EVER of my fixed income. I said I wont go through that again and guess what, they refuse to give the refund. This transaction was done yesterday, and I immediately went to classmates.com ***** min. later. I made sure I cancelled everything. The *** told me that the only way to sign up for classmates.com is to get the automatic renewal and I dont believe that to be true. So in summary, yes, add me to the big pile of complaints about this they need to be taken down. Thank you for your timeBusiness Response

We are in receipt of the Better Business Bureau Complaint filed by Ms. **** in connection with her Classmates+ paid membership subscription.
Classmates does not offer trial paid memberships or single term paid membership plans. All Classmates paid memberships are enrolled in the automatic renewal program. Classmates provides clear disclosures within the paid membership process that fee-based memberships will automatically renew. Below,I have outlined the process and the various places in which Classmates notified Ms. **** of the Automatic Renewal Program.
Ms. **** purchased an introductory 50% discounted 3-month automatically renewing paid membership on March 26, 2025 in the amount of $10.80. Prior to completing her purchase, Ms. **** was specifically notified that her membership fees were non-refundable and that her membership would automatically renew for the same term each time it reached its expiration date unless she chose to cancel, that her payment method would be charged the full term price of $21.60 for each renewal and that she could visit the Account portion of the website to change her renewal preference at any time. Ms. **** was presented with language on this same page stating that, by clicking the button to purchase, she agreed to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (with hyperlinks to each). A representative copy of the 3-month purchase page is attached for your review.
The "Automatic Renewal Program" section located under the *************** portion of the Terms of Service states:
Upon your acceptance of an offer for the purchase of any subscription-based ************** you will be enrolled in our automatic renewal program to help ensure that there is no interruption in your access to such ************** Under this program, you authorize us to automatically renew your subscription at the end of the term of the subscription you purchased, and each subsequent term, for the same term length of the subscription you initially purchased (unless otherwise stated in the offer you accepted). Unless you change your renewal status as described below, at the time of each such renewal you authorize us to charge your designated Payment Method at the then-current, non-promotional price (unless otherwise stated in the offer you accepted) for the renewal of your subscription. If you no longer want to be enrolled in our automatic renewal program, you can change your renewal status at any time by logging onto the Account portion of the Classmates.com Website, clicking on "Account & Billing" and changing your renewal option from "automatic"to "manual." Please note that completing these steps will only stop future automatic renewals of your current subscription and will not impact any automatic renewals that occurred prior to the date that you completed these steps.
The Payment section located under the *************** portion of the Terms of Service states, in part:
All authorized charges will be billed to your designated Payment Method on the terms described in the specific offer. If payment cannot be charged to your Payment Method or your payment is returned to us for any reason, we reserve the right to either suspend or terminate your access to the unpaid-for ************** It is your responsibility to ensure that sufficient funds are available to cover the charges for the ************** and we have no liability for any overdraft or other fees that you may incur as a result of our processing of your payment. When sufficient funds are not available upon the renewal date, you authorize us to retry collection on your Payment Method. If your service has been suspended due to payment failure, any successful retry will reset the subscription period to the date of the successful payment.
The "No Refund Policy" section located under the *************** portion of the Terms of Service states:
All fees relating to ************** including the initial fees and any subsequent automatic renewal fees (as described above), are non-refundable. If you initiate a chargeback or otherwise reverse a payment made with your Payment Method, we may in our discretion cancel your ************* immediately. If we successfully dispute the reversal, and the reversed funds are returned to us,you are not entitled to a refund or to have your ************* reinstated.
Shortly thereafter, Ms. **** would have received a paid subscription confirmation receipt email sent to the email address associated with her account. This email contained Ms. ***** membership registration number, the amount Ms. **** paid for her paid membership, her renewal date, and a reminder that her paid subscription would renew unless she chose to cancel by visiting the Accountportion of the website prior to her renewal date and that no portion of any subscription fee is refundable. A representative copy of the receipt email is attached for your review.
The "Account" section is accessible from nearly every page of the Classmates website and is located under the My Classmates navigation drop down menu in the top portion of the webpage. Underneath the heading Account, they will see an "Account & Billing" link. Once the member logs into their account, they are presented with information about their paid account, including the length of the term, the expiration date, and their renewal option being listed as Automatic. If they wish to switch to manual renewal, they simply have to click on the Turn off automatic renewal link.
According to our records, Ms. **** did not opt out of the automatic renewal program and, as a result, her membership was renewed for an additional term and her payment method was charged $21.60 after her payment method was successfully charged on August 7, 2025, in accordance with the disclosures and the Terms of Service that she agreed to during her initial membership subscription purchase.
According to the Terms of Service, Classmates has a no refund policy. On or about August 13, 2025, Ms. **** disputed her renewal fees with ****** and the matter is pending within ******* dispute resolution process.
In the meantime, I can confirm that her membership has been removed from the automatic renewal program and, pending the outcome of the ****** dispute, her paid membership subscription will lapse on November 7, 2025 and will then revert to a free membership.
Should your office or Ms. **** have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at [email protected].

On 7/23/25 I received a charge for $96.00 for a two year renewal. When I contacted Classmates.com, I was informed that I had received a renewal notice. I requested a copy of the renewal notice with the SUBJECT line, and I received the attached standard renewal form. I requested two more times by email a copy of the actual email, and finally called on 8/6/25. I was told they were unable to send a copy because the finance department said there would be abslolutley no refund since my automatic renewal was on. I find it interesting that on the standard form it offers a discount on a yearbook, and the renewal is secondary. If the subject line had Renewal, it would definitely have caught my eye. I know I am one of hundreds of people to call them out on their shady billing practices.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I requested a copy of the email with the SUBJECT LINE included via phone and the customer service email. The "representative" copy of the renewal reminder is not accurate. If you are going to send a renewal reminder, standard business practice is to have that be the first item in the email, not down below. Sending a $10 yearbook discount does not exactly scream renewal reminder. It has been very simple since the beginning. Please send me an email with the SUBJECT line that was sent on June 11. I don't believe that is a difficult request. The fact that Classmates.com won't do that seems a little strange.
Sincerely,
Grant GayInitial Complaint

We are in receipt of the complaint filed by Mr. ****** regarding his Classmates+ paid membership subscription renewal.
Classmates provides clear disclosures within the paid membership process that fee-based memberships will automatically renew. Below, I have outlined the process and the various places in which Classmates notified Mr. ****** of the Automatic Renewal Program.
Mr.****** purchased an introductory 50% discounted 1-year automatically renewing paid membership subscription on June 30, 30, 2023 in the amount of $30.00. On the payment information page of the paid membership purchase process, prior to completing his purchase, Mr. ****** was specifically notified that his membership fees were non-refundable, that his membership would automatically renew for the same term each time it reached its expiration date unless he chose to cancel, that his payment method would be charged $60.00 for each renewal, and that he could visit the Account portion of the website to change his renewal settings at any time. Mr. ****** was presented with language on this same page stating that, by clicking the button to purchase, he agreed to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (with hyperlinks to each). A representative copy of the 1-year purchase page is attached for your review.
The "Automatic Renewal Program" section located under the *************** portion of the Terms of Service states:
"Upon your acceptance of an offer for the purchase of any subscription-based ************** you will be enrolled in our automatic renewal program to help ensure that there is no interruption in your access to such ************** Under this program, you authorize us to automatically renew your subscription at the end of the term of the subscription you purchased, and each subsequent term, for the same term length of the subscription you initially purchased (unless otherwise stated in the offer you accepted). Shortly thereafter, Mr. ****** would have received a paid subscription confirmation receipt email sent to the email address associated with his account. This email contained Mr. ******* membership registration number, the amount Mr. ****** paid for his membership subscription, his renewal date, a reminder that no portion of any of his subscription fees were refundable and that his paid subscription would renew in the amount of $60.00 unless he chose to cancel by visiting the Account portion of the website prior to his renewal date.
The "Account" section is accessible from nearly every page of the Classmates website and is located under the My Classmates drop down navigation menu in the top right portion of the website. Underneath the Accountheading, they will see an "Account & Billing" link. Once the member clicks on the link and logs into their account, they are presented with information about their paid account, including the length of the term, the expiration date, and their renewal option being listed as Automatic. If they wish to switch to manual renewal, they simply have to click on the Turn off automatic renewal link.
Classmates sends all members in a 1- or 2-year membership an automatic renewal reminder (AR30). A review of our email logs indicates Classmates sent this AR30 reminder to Mr. ****** on May 21, 2024 and May 21, 2025 to the email address associated with his account, which is the same email address as listed in his complaint.
Mr.******* most recent AR30 reminder email provided information that Mr. ******* 1-year membership subscription would automatically renew on June 30, 2025 in the amount of $60.00 unless he changed his renewal status prior to his renewal date and instructions on how to cancel his paid membership online. The email also included a phone number to call Classmates as well as a link to email the Classmates ********************** if he needed assistance in cancelling his paid membership prior to his renewal date. A representative copy of this AR30 email reminder as well as the email send history from Classmates email systems to Mr. ****** is attached for your review.
According to our records, Mr. ****** did not opt out of the automatic renewal program or contact Classmates prior to his renewal date and, as a result, his membership was renewed for an additional term and his payment method was charged $60.00 on June 30, 2025, in accordance with the disclosures and the Terms of Service that he agreed to during his 2023 purchase.
A review of our internal customer communication records indicates Mr. ****** did not contact Classmates regarding his renewal until August 4, 2025. Classmates does not have a voicemail system or any other method for Mr. ****** to leave Classmates a message regarding his renewal. Additionally, a review of Mr.******* member care record shows he has extensively used his paid membership benefits since his renewal on June 30, 2025 to view who has visited his profile. A screen shot of the communication records from Mr. ****** is attached for your review.
Per the Terms of Service, Classmates has a no refund policy. I can confirm that Mr.******* membership has been removed from the automatic renewal program and his paid membership subscription will lapse on June 30, 2026 and will then revert to a free account. No additional membership subscription fees will be charged to his payment method unless he proactively extends his current paid membership term or he purchases a paid membership subscription in the future.
This information should resolve Mr. ******* complaint. Should your office or Mr. ****** have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at [email protected].

I am rejecting this response because:I called the Classmates on June 18th, 2025 & left a message (noone answered) that I wished to cancel the membership charge. This was 12 days before they would officially charge $60 to renew. My activity had slowed dramatically and I saw no further value in continuing a paid subscription with them. They deny having received any record of my call.
Please review my long history of promptness regarding ANY bill I have ever receied in the last 35 years. I am hyper-diligent in respondintg to any potential bill that will come due & have Never missed a payment. A quick credit run on my payment history will support this.
I had or have No intention of trying to deceive Classmates, or any business at any time. I have read and accepted their company policies regarding renewal of memberships, notice of same, etc, in the past. It's basically their word against mine, that I attempted to call them direcly. I was forced to leave a message.
Will $60 break the bank for me? NO This is a matter of principle and I detest any business that attempts to deny my notice to them on cancelling.
Are there other complaints filed against Classmates? Definitely.
Are there ANY complaints filed against me for non-payment of any bill due, over the last several decades? NO!
Please check my payment records. There's a reason my credit score is consistently over 800, which is considered Excellent
by creditors and banking institutions. I do NOT accept their defense on this matter and never will. Business is business on both sides.
Sincerely,
***** ******Initial Complaint

Classmates is one of the oldest alumni social networking websites,we have been online since 1995. Users register on the website under their personal name, the name of the school they attended and for the years in which they attended their high school. Additional personal information, such as photos, biographies and other profile content are at the discretion of the user to provide and share. All members are able to peruse and visit profiles of any other member on the Classmates website.
There are two types of Classmates memberships: a free, basic account and a paid **********************+ subscription membership. Free members can view any other registered members profile, including registered members of their entire high school affiliation and registered members of their specific graduating class as well as reunion events associated with their class, conversation posts, photo albums and every yearbook on the website.
A Classmates+ paid membership provides additional benefits that a free member will not be able to access, such as the ability to send and receive private messages (also known as Classmates Email) that any other member, even if they are not a paid member, can review and respond to and the ability to view who has visited their profile. A full list of benefits by membership type can be found here: *************************************************************************************************
According to our records, Mr. ******* has three (3) free accounts on the ********************** website using the same email address. The details related to these accounts are as follows:

This membership account has received one private Classmates email from another member on November 17, 2008 and has had 44 profile visits dating back from 2007 through July of 2025.

Screen shots showing these membership records are attached for his review.
Given the age of the Classmates site and Mr. ******** accounts, and that fact that he does not appear to have ever had a paid subscription to view these profile visits, it's likely he's receiving notifications related to older visits from individuals who have since passed away.
In instances where a member passes away, Classmates relies on notification from verified family members or authorized representatives to take appropriate action. Until such notification is received, member profiles remain active to honor the intent of the original member and to preserve the historical value they may hold for other members of the class. Additionally, some families request that their loved ones profile remain visible as a tribute or memorial on the Classmates website.
If Mr. ******* would like me to delete any of his free accounts,he can email me directly at ****************************************** to let me know which account he would like deleted. Alternatively, he can delete any of the accounts on his own by visiting the How Do I Cancel My Membershiparticle on the Classmates Help pages located at

Shortly thereafter, Mr. ******* would have received a paid subscription confirmation email sent to the email address associated with his account. This email contained the Mr. ******* registration number, the amount he paid for his membership subscription, the renewal date, and a reminder that his paid subscription would renew unless he chose to cancel by visiting the Accountportion of the website prior to his renewal date.
The "Account" section is accessible from nearly every page of the Classmates website and is located in the top right portion of the webpage underneath the My Classmates drop down navigation menu. Underneath the Account heading, they will see an "Account & Billing" link listed on the page. Once the member clicks the link and logs into their account, they are presented with information about their paid account, including the length of the term, the expiration date, and their renewal option being listed as Automatic. If they wish to switch to manual renewal, they simply have to click on the Turn off automatic renewal link.
Since 2017, Classmates sends all members in a membership subscription term one year or longer an Automatic Renewal Reminder (AR30). Classmates sent Mr. ******* this AR30 renewal reminder on June 1, 2023 and on June 1, 2025 to the email address associated with his account, which is the same email address as listed in his complaint.
The 2023 AR30 email reminder provided information that Mr. ************* paid membership subscription would automatically renew on July 11, 2023 unless he changed his renewal status prior to his renewal date and that the full price of a 2-year membership renewal was increasing from $72.00 to $96.00 starting with his next renewal. The AR30 reminder also included information on how to change his automatic renewal status. The subject line of the renewal reminder was Notification Price Change for Your Classmates+ Membership Renewal.
The 2025 AR30 email reminder also provided information that ********** 2-year paid membership subscription would automatically renew on July 11, 2025 in the amount of $96.00 unless he changed his renewal status prior to his renewal date. The AR30 reminder included information on how to change his automatic renewal status and also included a phone number and a link to contact Classmates if he needed assistance with canceling his renewal prior to his renewal date. A representative copy of the most recent AR30 as well as the email send history from Classmates email systems showing these emails were sent to Mr. ******* is attached for your review.
According to our records, Mr. ******* did not opt out of the automatic renewal program or contact Classmates prior to either of his renewal dates and, as a result, his membership subscription was renewed in 2023 and again in 2025, each for an additional 2-year term, and his payment method was charged $96.00 for each renewal, in accordance with the disclosures and the Terms of Service that he agreed to during his 2021 purchase.
Per the Terms of Service, Classmates has a no refund policy. I can confirm that Mr. ******* paid membership subscription has been removed from the automatic renewal program and unless Mr. ******* takes any proactive measures to extend his current paid membership subscription term, his Classmates+ subscription will lapse on his renewal date in July of 2027 and then revert to a free Classmates account.
This information should resolve Mr. ******* complaint. Should your office or Mr. ******* have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at *******************************************

Consumer name: ***** *******
We are in receipt of the consumer complaint filed by Ms. ******* in connection with her Classmates+ paid membership subscription.
Classmates provides clear disclosures within the paid membership process that fee-based memberships will automatically renew. Below, I have outlined the process and the various places in which Classmates notified Ms. ******* of the Automatic Renewal Program.
Ms. ******* purchased an introductory 58% discounted 3-month automatically renewing paid membership on January 21, 2025, in the amount of $9.00. On the payment information page of the paid membership purchase process, prior to completing her purchase, Ms. ******* was specifically notified that her membership fees were non-refundable, that her membership would automatically renew for the same term each time it reached its expiration date unless she chose to cancel, that her payment method would be charged the full term price of $21.60 for each renewal period, and that she could visit the Account portion of the website to change her renewal settings at any time. Ms. ******* was presented with language on this same page stating that, by clicking the button to purchase, she agreed to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (with hyperlinks to each). A representative copy of this upgrade purchase page is attached for your review.
The No Refund Policy section located under the *************** portion of the Terms of Service states:
All fees relating to ************** including the initial fees and any subsequent automatic renewal fees (as described above), are non-refundable. If you initiate a chargeback or otherwise reverse a payment made with your Payment Method, we may in our discretion cancel your ************* immediately. If we successfully dispute the reversal, and the reversed funds are returned to us,you are not entitled to a refund or to have your ************* reinstated.
Shortly after her purchase, Ms. ******* would have received a paid subscription confirmation email sent to the email addresses associated with her account. This receipt email contained Ms. ******** membership registration number, the amount Ms. ******* paid for her membership subscription, her renewal date, the renewal amount and a reminder that her paid subscription would renew unless she chose to cancel by visiting the Account portion of the website prior to her renewal date and that no portion of any subscription fee was refundable. A representative copy of this receipt email is attached for your review.
The "Account" section is accessible from nearly every page of the Classmates website and is located under the My Classmates drop down navigation menu in the top righthand portion of the webpage. When a member clicks on Account, they will see an "Account & Billing" section listed on the page. Once the member logs into their account, they are presented with information about their paid account, including the length of the term, the expiration date, and their renewal option being listed as Automatic. If they wish to switch to manual renewal, they simply have to click on the Turn off automatic renewal link.
On January 23, 2025, Ms. ******* contacted Classmates via ******** appears Ms. ******* had purchased two different CM+ memberships on two different accounts (registrations ************* created on October 14, 2021 and ************* created on January 21, 2025). The *********** Representative moved the duplicate payment from registration ************* to her older Classmates account under registration number ************* and deleted the newer duplicate account. This created a stacked account and her paid membership did not automatically renew to the full price until July 21, 2025.
On July 11, 2025, Classmates sent Ms. ******* an email notice (AR7) that her introductory pricing term was about to expire and that her membership subscription would renew at the standard full price of $21.60 on July 21, 2025 unless she cancelled her paid membership subscription prior to that date. The email also contained information on how to cancel her paid membership and a reminder that no portion of any membership subscription fees are refundable. A representative copy of this AR7 email reminder as well as the email send history from Classmates email systems to Ms. ******* is attached for your review.
According to our records, Ms. ******* did not opt out of the automatic renewal program or contact the Classmates *********** Department prior to her renewal. As a result, her membership was renewed for an additional 3-month term and her payment method was charged $21.60, per the Terms of Service she agreed to during her initial purchase on January 21, 2025.
I can confirm that Ms. ******** paid membership subscription has been removed from the automatic renewal program, her paid membership subscription will therefore lapse on October 21, 2025, and will then revert to a free Classmates account. She will not be charged any additional membership subscription fees unless she proactively extends her current paid membership subscription term, or she purchases a paid membership subscription in the future.
This information should successfully resolve Ms. ******** complaint. Should your office or Ms. ******* have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at *******************************************
Sincerely,
**** ****

This scam company is relentless. I supposedly had a "free account" - but signing into it automatically billed my credit card, and then continued to bill my credit card after I requested a cancellation. Requesting a cancellation is a waste of time - the company does not send any kind of written confirmation (how convenient...since that would be proof for the consumer.) Even my credit card company, usually very helpful, was unable to reverse this charge.Business Response

We are in receipt of the two Better Business Bureau Complaints filed by Ms. ***** regarding her Classmates+ paid membership subscription.
According to our records, Ms. ***** has two accounts on the ********************** website:
Registration Number **********: This membership was created on June 4, 2006. The email address associated with this account is an ************* account. This account has had multiple previous paid subscriptions associated with it, but it has been a free account since September 20, 2022. Ms. ***** last accessed this account on July 11, 2025 and subsequently deleted the account on that day.
Registration Number 4000183555117: This membership was created on September 10, 2022 using a gmail **********. ***** purchased a 3-month automatically renewing paid membership subscription on this account on March 16, 2025. This paid membership automatically renewed on June 16, 2025. This account is the subject of Ms. ****** complaint.
Classmates provides clear disclosures within the paid membership process that fee-based memberships will automatically renew. Below, I have outlined the process and the various places in which Classmates notified ******** of the Automatic Renewal Program.
As noted above, Ms. ***** purchased a 50% discounted 3-month automatically renewing paid membership on March 16, 2025 in the amount of $10.80. On the payment information page of the paid membership purchase process, prior to completing her purchase, Ms. ***** was specifically notified that her membership fees were non-refundable, that her membership would automatically renew for the same term each time it reached its expiration date unless she chose to cancel, that her payment method would be charged the full term price of $21.60 for each renewal period, and that she could visit the Account portion of the website to change her renewal setting at any time. Ms. ***** was presented with language on this same page stating that, by clicking the button to purchase, she agreed to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (with hyperlinks to each). A representative copy of the 50% discount purchase page is attached for your review.
Please note that completing these steps will only stop future automatic renewals of your current subscription and will not impact any automatic renewals that occurred prior to the date that you completed these steps.
The No Refund Policy section located under the *************** portion of the Terms of Service states:

If you initiate a chargeback or otherwise reverse a payment made with your Payment Method, we may in our discretion cancel your ************* immediately. If we successfully dispute the reversal, and the reversed funds are returned to us,you are not entitled to a refund or to have your ************* reinstated.
Shortly thereafter, Ms. ***** would have received a paid subscription confirmation email sent to the gmail addresses associated with her account. The email contained Ms. ******* membership registration number, the amount ******** paid for her paid membership, her renewal date, and a reminder that her paid subscriptions would automatically renew unless she chose to cancel by visiting the Account portion of the website prior to her renewal date and that no portion of any subscription fee is refundable.
On June 6, 2025, Classmates sent Ms. ***** an email notice (AR7)that her introductory pricing term was about to expire and that her membership subscription would renew at the standard full price of $21.60 on June 16, 2025 unless she cancelled her paid membership subscription prior to that date. The AR7 email notice also contained information on how to cancel her paid membership and a reminder that no portion of any membership subscription fees are refundable. A representative copy of this AR7 email notification as well as the email send history from Classmates email systems to Ms. ***** is attached for your review.
According to our records, Ms. ***** did not opt out of the automatic renewal program or contact the Classmates ********************** prior to her renewal date. As a result, her membership was renewed for an additional term and her payment method was charged $21.60 on June 16, 2025, in accordance with the disclosures and the Terms of Service that he agreed to during her March 16, 2025 purchase.
According to the Classmates Terms of Service, Classmates has a no refund policy. However, since Ms. ***** had duplicate accounts and she would not have been able to see how to turn off the automatic renewal settings had she logged into her free account instead of her paid membership, I have provided her with a one-time courtesy refund of $21.60 on July 16, 2025. Ms. ***** should note this refund on her physical billing statement within the next 30 to 60 days (or sooner if she banks online) depending on her financial institutions billing cycle and internal refund policies.
Ms. ****** Classmates membership has reverted to a free membership, and she wont be charged any additional membership subscription fees unless she proactively purchases a paid CM+ membership in the future. However, if ******** would prefer to delete her free account, she can use the following link to delete her free membership and remove her information from the Classmates website: ************************************************************************************************.
This information should resolve Ms. ******* complaint. Should your office or Ms. ***** have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at *******************************************

HI *********** .
I would like to offer an update on my complaint with Classmates.com. (What a scammy company!)
They claim I had a paid subscription but can offer no proof. No email address to which correspondence was supposedly sent. They have promised a courtesy credit of $21.60 on my Discover card, which has never appeared
I contacted Discover, who responded that the charge was valid - but again, absolutely no proof. They have asked for documentation, but there is no documentation, because classmates does not provide any. Nor will they provide the email address where their communication was supposedly sent.
I have a screenshot of their promise to extend a credit, and I have sent that to Discover. But I dont think it will be adequate.
Is there really no way to fight this company?
Thank you!Initial Complaint

When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.
BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
