I wish I would've thought to read these reviews.. My son also received a nomination and we were so proud of him. We built up the excitement to him, family and friends. We paid $4000 for our 10 year old to go to a 6 day slumber party and do 3rd grade crafts. The itinerary is impressive but they don't do over half of what is listed. "Model lung", was a cup with a balloon and a straw. My son is incredibly intelligent. He's 10 and in the 5th grade but reads and does math on an 8th grade level. We were lead to believe this program would enrich and challenge him. He hated it. We even had to call in the middle of it to intervene due to some bullying issues. The powdery substance analysis.... they had to determine that it was powdered sugar. There were no "stem challenges" and the "mbot" was a lego like kit that was probably $20. He was fed pizza 2xs a day and the kids were running wild at night in the dorms. I've called and complained and demanded a refund, but now reading these reviews realize that probably won't happen. I am shocked at this company. Each camp is making them around 400k and there are 2 per summer, per campus. So across the country they are making several million dollars to put on a low level, cheap, unimpressive babysitting camp. I'm more disappointed for my son, who was excited about this experience and hated almost every second of it.

Horrible communication, ran like an impromptu camp lead by middle schoolers. Lacking subject matter and organization

      Spent $4000.
The speakers said straight false facts. They are not competent educators.

Kids didn't do doctor shadowing. They played games.
Lost time and opportunities to do other camps. (And money)

Utter waste of $4500. Activities promised on website and letter for the Medicine camp at Emory were cancelled…including visit to a hospital for a tour. They cancelled numerous other speakers and activities. The camping pack list was incomplete, and they took kids to an adult simulation site for a plane crash and crash crash simulation with dummies and actors. No where was this described in the camp description. Food made kids sick. Can’t believe Emory University would allow this type of organization to be run from their campus.

Short lived excitement by our family, daughter, her teachers, and, friends. I cannot believe this business! Why are they still allowed to go on and do this year after year?

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN APPLYING TO THIS PLACE. We canceled within a couple of days (never formally accepted, so if you fill out an application, basically you have accepted!) And they are keeping my $450.00. Very different than other programs and basically what it means is that their application fee is nonrefundable $450!!!! Its outrageous! I have warned all of my friends and family near and far. Far better and acclaimed programs that offer better customer service anyways so dont waste your time!

Don't sign your child up. Just don't. I signed my daughter up for this on a payment plan, but they canceled her two days before the last payment was due because it wasn't paid in full. She wasn't going to go anyway because of a death in the family and she suffered major depression and anxiety from that. I have been trying to get refund of what I haf paid since July, to get nothing but a runaround from them. I even signed up for the travel insurance. The insurance company denied the claim, I have 2 emails from an Envision employee saying I will be refund. The first said it will be paid in 20-25 days. I contacted them at the end of of the 25 days just to get another email from her saying it will be paid in 7-10 business days. That was a month ago, and now I'm told I have to re-file again with the insurance company before they will reimburse. I've had to contact an attorney to try to handle this for me because I just cannot deal with them anymore, hopefully someday we will get our money back.

Arguably a scam. To begin with, the invitation is not what it seems-it pretends to be all excusive and fancy but its just a glorified ad. And the kids in the program are not nearly as special as advertised. As for the program, my soon took the 'pathways to stem' course. He said that is was just like school and the food was terrible. One of the other kids in the program was hit by a staff member and had the be brought to the er. The program was also apparently very tacky with everything originating from a textbook, and the instructor didn't even know the material or have a teaching degree. Plus, for nearly $2k, both me and my wife worked overtime to afford this but it is purely icky science camp. Not worth a penny.
