    I previously had an account with Park Lance Finance and have wired money to them before when I sold my home. I was supposed to close on my new home on August 29, 2022. I put in my new intended business to wire the funds. However, when I wired the funds it automatically defaulted to Park Lane Finance on my phone. So my closing costs of 2, 116.76 went to them instead of my intended wire account. I have been in contact with ****** and he has "helped" me solve the issue. I have filled out a W-9 for this company so they could return my funds. On ***** a label was created on 8/30/22 labeled refund with overnight shipping. However, it has not been shipped. That money does not belong to them, and because of them holding it hostage, I am now in the negative in my checking account. I have documentation of conversations and lack of responses on my end. They have stopped taking my phone calls and I am automatically sent to a voice mail because ****** is "away from the desk" or "on the phone". I just want my money returned - it does not belong to them. Yes, it was a mistake, but now they are holding onto money that does not belong to them.

    Park Lane Response to BBB complaint #******** Park Lane received a wire on 8/29/22 from this customer for
    an account that had been closed out over one year prior.  On 8/30/22 the refund process was initiated
    and a refund invoice entered.  Unfortunately, the check processing window for August was closed due to
    month end accounting processes.  The
    refund check was cut on 9/6/22 and overnighted to the customer.  Park Lane feels like it responded
    appropriately and timely given that the refund was given one week after
    receiving the funds despite month end processes considerations and a long Labor
    Day weekend. This error was not caused
    by Park Lane.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I have received the refund.
