    I entered a payment agreement with **** for a balance of $2,383.54. Since then, I have paid a total of $1,851. Recently, I contacted **** to obtain my final payoff amount. I was told I owed $716.48 a number that doesnt match the balance based on the original agreement or my payment history.When I asked for an itemized breakdown, I was ignored. I emailed a formal request and was told I simply had a payment due that day, with no explanation or supporting documentation. I was also told the locality sent adjustments after the agreement but I was never notified in writing of any changes.I called TACS multiple times (8 times in one day) and was repeatedly transferred, put on hold, or disconnected. When I finally reached a representative, they offered no clear solution. This is highly unprofessional and has delayed me from settling the balance in full as originally planned.I am not refusing to pay. I simply want the correct payoff amount and an accurate, transparent breakdown of my account. This has caused unnecessary stress and wasted time.

    I have been receiving calls and past due invoices from this company in an attempt to resolve a debt I dont owe. Ive never done business with the company theyre trying to collect for nor have I ever lived in ******** or the surrounding states. They dont even have my name on any of the notices nor do they know it when leaving collection messages. They need to do their due diligence when trying to collect someone elses debt!

    I have not been to the ******** area since February of ********************************** the Navy. I recently received a notice for ******. I called to see what was the problem to their offices they should have a record. TACS number ******. They told me it has because of my red vehicle that I owed the *** money. I have never had a red vehicle. I called the *** and they told me they dont have an idea of what I was talking about. I called again and they could not provide me more information they told me to call the ***. I did. Today I got a second notification. I got no information or anything clear of how or why should I pay for this. Seems like TACS replies to post here please help me figure this out. Im currently receiving medical treatment I dont have the strength or mental focus to sit in the phone for hours to get nowhere.

    This company is fraudulently about to steal money from my account based on a fraudulent judgment they got with false, misleading information that is 100% untrue.

    Our law firm has been retained by the City of ******** to collect on certain delinquent tax accounts. Our records indicate that we have spoken with you in the past, took a payment for this account and the full amount was not paid at that time.  We have not received any additional payments and the balances are still due our client.

    I moved away from ***************** more than three years ago. I settled all taxes with county and Town officials as well as informing them that I was moving out of state. I also closed out my business that was located there. I paid back taxes and was excused from several years of taxes because that business ceased to exist years before I was taxed on it. TACS has continued to harass me with letters and phone calls about this issue that has been settled. Ive called the town and county officials who have informed me that I owe nothing. Now TACS has filed a lien against my wages with my current employer. No matter how many times I tell them this is settled, they continue to harass me. I now have less than 30 days to get this cleared up or my wages will be forfeited. I send documentation as well as being told by the taxing authority that all accounts are settled but this predatory company continues to harass me.

    Our law firm has been retained by the County of *************************** to collect certain delinquent personal property taxes.  If you believe taxes should not have been assessed for the years in question, you will need to contact the Culpeper County Commissioner of Revenue (**************************************) to provide relevant information related to your move.  Often DMVs outside of ******** do not share information on new registrations, so you may need to provide your new registration information in order to contest the assessment. Note that the Treasurer, and by extension, our office cannot relieve the assessed taxes.

    Reading the other complaints, mine is similar. I received a notice, but we have no debt and always pay everything we owe on time and in the full amount. Notice was dated July 7, 2024, with a "Presorted First-Class Mail U.S. Postage", and I received it today July 15, 2024. The only thing I can think of was a red light ticket and it was paid in full in the amount of $50 plus service fees of $5. Totaling $55. I attached evidence from the website which states we paid it 5/30/24 (which was paid on time and not late, I may add) as it shows amount due $0. I can understand this could be an oversight on your part, but please do your due diligence to make sure invoices are paid prior. You can save yourself some paper, ink, presorted mail postage and not waste either yours and my time. By me putting this on here and my time to call ********. Time is money and my time is valuable as your time. Now you will have to spend your time on a rebuttal if any, and to research our fake debt that we don't owe your company. If you have any questions or concerns, please email or call me. I hope we can find a positive resolution soon.

    Thank you for your communication and indicating that your account was paid in full prior to its referral to our offices.  There was no identifying information on your complaint, so I could not tie it back to an account on our system to update with any information.  I will say, however, that our data is provided by our clients and we rely on their balances as the systems of record.  I will review internally whether we have received any updates from clients that balances are incorrect.

    Received a notice in the mail from this company stating that my spouse was due back property taxes. The *************** made a mistake because we are military members and the city apologized and fixed the issue. This company was CCed in the email line yet they sent a second notice.I requested twice now that this matter be taken care of on this companys behalf. I have received no response.

    My Daughter in law received a bill for 179 dollars for taxes owed on a car. She went to the ***************** in ******* and they said she is paid in full and gave her a receipt. I offered to email the receipt. They said they must receive an email from the treasurer. No one answers at the ******************* She went to the treasure's office 3 times and they said it was taken care of, but she keeps getting bills from TACS. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but no one came on the line. She has not paid the 179 dollars, but she is being billed and this has lowered her credit score when she is trying to buy a house.

    Our law firm works for the ****************** collecting certain delinquent accounts.  There is no account or other identifying information that would permit me to review the account for response.  Generally, however, we receive electronic updates of balances from the Treasurer's office.  If this has "been taken care of" then we would receive notice of the payment.  If paid at the ******************, however, the attorney fees would not have been paid and would still be due.

    Nevertheless, the outstanding taxes do not reflect on a credit report and would not have any effect on a credit score.  Your daughter in law can contact our office to discuss any remaining issues on the account.

    I just received a letter (second notice) when I never received a first notice from this company saying I owed ****** for the ****************. The letter is dated November 9th, and tells me I have 20 days to respond when it shows up on the evening of the 30th. I'm calling Henrico city hall tomorrow and finding out what legal action I can take against this fraudulent "attorney". This is a money racket and I refuse to participate in shady business practices. I promise I will have your BAR certification removed. You picked the wrong person to try to scam.

    Taxing Authority Consulting Services, PC represents the City of Richmond in the collection of certain delinquent personal property taxes.  This particular account appears to be for tax year 2020. I do not see that you have called our office for any clarification or additional information other than filing this complaint with the BBB. The taxes are duly assessed and if your vehicle was not sitused in the City of Richmond for 2020, you must contact the City of ******************* of ******* to provide appropriate documentation of the same.

    I did not live in Richmond in 2020 and have documentation proving so. I haven't lived there since 2018. Not only that, but I'm not going to reach out to your office when you send me a letter and threaten legal action when I received the letter AFTER the deadline. I sent your company an email and expect to be sent proof of what I owe via certified mail and expect my 30 days to respond from the mail date. Afterwards I will be seeking legal counsel to make sure you cannot do this to anyone anymore. There is a reason you have an F rating with the BBB.

    I presume you are requesting a 'verification of debt' as permitted under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. Personal property taxes are not consumer debts under the ***** , so we do not 'verify' debts.  These are duly assessed taxes and can only be corrected by the City of Richmond, our client.  You can reach the ********** of ******* at **************. Unless the taxes are adjusted by our client they are due.

    Got a bs notice sent to an address that isn't even on my taxes saying this is my second warning, (no first notice sent) to pay some ridiculous fee! I lived in VA for all of 6 months. And worked a minimum wage job then. Also, I lived with an ex family member at the time. So whatever "fees" they're saying I owe is complete ********. THEY'RE LIARS AND THIEVES THAT DESERVE TO HANG FROM STREET LIGHTS!!!
