On September 19, 2023 the Board for Contractors issued a Final Opinion and Order regarding Rocktown Remodeling, LLC and revoked their contractor's license for the following prohibited acts. 1. Failure of those engaged in residential contracting to comply with the written terms of the contract that contains the following minimum requirements: a. A statement of assurance the contractor will comply with all local requirements for building permits, inspections and zoning. b. Disclosure of the cancellation rights of both parties. c. Contractor's name, address, license number, class of license or specialty services. d. Statement providing any modifications to the contract must be in writing and signed by all parties. e. A statement notifying consumers of the existence of the VA Contractor Transaction Recovery Fund that includes information on how to contact the board for claim information. 2. Practicing in a classification, specialty service or class of license for which the contractor is not licensed. 3. Making any misrepresentation or making a false promise that might influence, persuade or induce. 4. Abandonment defined as the unjustified cessation of work under the contract for a period of 30 days or more. 5. Any change of address of record or principal place of business shall be reported to the Board in writing within 30 days. 6. Failure to satisfy any judgements.
