Recently bought a car from Auto Buying Service and they charged me a different amount for the car than I was initially told and shown. The document they showed me and the document they had me sign was completely different I did not notice at the time because I thought I was signing the document that I was shown initially. For reference the first document showed that the total price for the car was $11,000 after processing fees and taxes but after wards, I called the bank that I initiated the loan from said that the dealership sent them a different document than what I am telling them about. The loan I was approved for was $6000 but now I am being told that i have to pay back more than $13000 AFTER my $5000 down payment. After looking at some reviews it seems like I am not the first ****** they have done this to. Now the vehiclewhich initially cost $11000 costs nearly $19000 according to them.Business Response

Took a 12 hour trip to go purchase a car that was originally listed as $21,995. At the dealership we had discussed the vehicles price and decided to lower the price $4,000. We had agreed on the price on the contract. I also had $2,500 cash with me for down payment. A few days later I received my paper in the mail stating that something on the contract had be wrong and nothing with the price had changed, stating that I owe now $23,138.72. I purchased a car 2 weeks ago, I was told my monthly payments were $302. I can home to receive a letter in the mail saying they are now $532. This was not discussed, nor was my loan. With the correct math, my payments should be around $460 on a $25,000 loan, which they told me would be $17.5k. When I go into my account to look at my monthly payments, I now have a $30,000 loan taken out which was never agreed upon. While trying to call, their financial manager has been the most unprofessional person I have crossed, they continue to barely respond and when they do they speak as though I am a child. This business is a shame and not upfront in the slightest but about what they are doing or selling. I deserve justice and help for this matter.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I have not been shown any type of signing on this $30,000 loan if you listen to the footage, you would be able to hear the spoken $302 agreement. I do not appreciate a half written, incorrect grammar claim, coming at me saying I have buyers remorse, when I do not. I am wondering where $5,000 got lost in translation. I have been waiting over a month now between the business and this claim, despite the business finally answering again, I am given excuses every time as to why nothing has happened. This is unfair, and a response without including those signed docs is unprofessional, when im able to list what I have as evidence.

After venturing from ********** to ******** and buying a vehicle from said entity on 11/2/24 I was told I would have the paperwork emailed and sent to my home. This did not happen. I was then told it would be a month or so and my auto tags and registration would be mailed to me. The temporary tags have lapsed and I have not received my tags or registration. I have called and have been hung up on, given the run around, and disregarded. My assistant has called and was hung up on and given the run around. My father, who was with me at the purchase, called and was given the run around as well. I just want my paperwork, tags, and registration.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: The business was made aware prior to the filing of the complaint. They refused to acknowledge my efforts until the complaint was filed. They have provided paperwork but have not produced my auto tags or registration. The vehicle still cannot be driven without the tags and registration which is needed for inspection. The business has provided no details to when my tags and registration will be provided only that "We are waiting for *****". This person has been left several messages to date and has returned a call to date. I was texted by number in which my paperwork was sent but again said person with the number **************.

I brought a vehicle from auto buying services the check engine light came on the dashboard and they have not try to fix the problems the vehicle has. 06/17/2024 - Flew from ** to ** to then get an **** from DC airport to the dealership (Auto Buying Service) in *******, ** after a failed attempt on their end on delivering the vehicle a week prior. - Signed paperwork as drove vehicle back to ** on a 30 day temp tag. -07/17/2024 tag expires and no registration. Reached out to the dealership on multiple occasions day and evening to get an answer. -07/31/2024 I get a ready response from their tags/title handler and was told they would follow up with me on an update. Explained to the user how I was told registration and taxes were included in the deal, they confirmed yet its taking them longer than 30 days to fulfill that service. -08/20/2024 still no registration and no employee to handle my request. Bought a vehicle from this dealer on 5/11/2024. Drove 7.5 hours to test drive a vehicle that was advertised online I ultimately ended up financing the vehicle the same day. I have reached out to the dealership numerous times since then to find out the status of plates and registration each time being told that there was some kind of issue or receiving no updates at all. It has now been almost 3 months since the date of purchase and I still have no registration and plates. I tried to work with them and be understanding to the fact that I was an out of state purchase but this is ridiculous at this point. *** filed a complaint with *** at this point as well as here now. I purchased a 2015 *** M3 from Autobuying service . The car was sold to ****** on 4/10/2024. That same day our credit union/lienholder provided the letter of guarantee beginning the process for our payoff so the monthly payments on the vehicle would be reduced. Since the majority would be paid for (awaiting the checks for the cancelled products, of course). Shortly after the car was sold, tags were returned to the *** by my husband the next day and the title transferred on 4/11/2024. Beginning 4/18/2024, we were informed by the warranty company that the necessary product cancellation documents were sent to the selling dealership (Auto Buying Service) for processing and the dealer has 45 days to provide the checks for the cancelled products. Now it has been WELL over 45 days, and my lien holder has yet to receive any checks. This delay is causing additional fees and insurance costs to accrue which fall on us for a car I no longer own because of ABS. Their tag and title also appears to be some sort of "ghost company" because you can never actually get a hold of them, even in person. Attached is also proof of some of our communication attempts. All in all, I get the ring around and dismissed constantly. They also only have one phone number . The only operational line we have been able to reach is sales and they rarely answer. If they do on the rare occassion, they opt to transfer you to their tag and title but it immediately disconnects and if sales does not answer all you can do is leave a VM on their sales line. They have been so unresponsiveness we were forced to reply to a very old email from when I purchased the vehicle and turns out they switched people which they never informed us of . We need the checks to be sent to our credit union as that is money they owed . In addition to the fact the car has been sold, products cancelled and all paperwork has been completed. My son purchased vehicle on 6/11/24 from ABS for $24k (includes $22k from his CU & $2k cash from me). I am the co signer on the car he traded in. We are seeking a clean title and payoff from the trade in ****** Sentra. It is now July and his temp tags on the newly purchased car have expired. No one will talk to him at ***. I went to ABS about 2 weeks ago and was told I needed to pay a promissory note of $2k. I paid it and was assured that the car would be paid off. No word, no answers, The ****** Sentra still has a car note that Ive been paying and he traded it in. Since then Ive been giving the run around. They told me they dont know the owners last name and he never comes in to the establishment. They have taken advantage of my son and are ruining my credit. Ps. Advise. Today, Wed., August 21st, we contacted ABS to find out the pay off status of the 2018 ****** Sentra. The gentleman that answered the phone didnt identify himself but said that the vehicle had been paid off but would not give a date. We informed him that we would be following up w/the lien holder (*********). Shortly afterwards, we contacted Santander and they said no one has contacted them nor made a pay off.
They did, finally, release the title to the 2014 *** to the *** so that my son could obtain temporary tags.ABS would not respond to him when the original temporary tags ran out because the title was not available.

Dear dispute resolution team three, thank you so much for your help on this ever since the *********** received your email in response to our complaint we began to see movement. About a month or so after when we called we were told it was on the way then from there we received a photo copy that it was in the works. We just received word via letter from our lienholder that it was paid off. We cant begin to thank you enough for putting the fire under ABS. They were very rude and nonchalant, and they took advantage of a young person purchasing a car on their own. Hopefully we will not have to call for your services again on the car that he purchased because we went through enough with them paying off the car that he traded in. BBB. I hope you have received my messages that I sent prior to this one. As of last week, the car that was traded in has been paid off and they sent the title showing where it had been paid. It took a minute, but as soon as they heard from you guys, we started to see movement.
