1 starThis has been the worst car-buying experience of my life.I was in the market for a vehicle and contacted Eastern Automotive Finance Group after selecting a car online. When I arrived at the dealership, I asked my salesperson, **** ******, three separate times if the vehicle had ever been in an accident or had any prior damage. Each time, he assured me that it had not. However, after I signed the paperwork and was about to drive off the lot, he casually mentioned that they had done some minor damage repair to the vehicle. That immediately raised red flags, so I took the car to an independent auto body shop for a full inspection. What I learned was shocking: the car had sustained major damage that had been repaired damage that had been completely hidden from me.The Carfax report they gave me showed a single owner and no accident history, but after some research, I discovered how they pulled this off. Eastern Automotive does all their repair work in-house, which means it never gets reported to Carfax. As a result, they present a clean report and sell damaged vehicles at inflated prices under the guise of accident-free condition.I tried pursuing this through the state attorney generals office, but its clear Eastern Automotives legal team is experienced in dodging accountability. Unfortunately, they know how to walk the line legally but ***************, Im stuck making ongoing repairs to this vehicle due to the long-term effects of those hidden accidents from persistent electrical issues to the car frequently overheating. These problems didnt show up right away, but theyre now a constant burden that I should have never had to deal with if the dealership had been honest from the beginning. Please be cautious when dealing with this company. Dont just take my word for it check their reviews on the Better Business Bureau. I wish I had done more research before stepping foot on their lot.Review fromSonja J

1 starTo the team at Eastern Motors,This letter is being written with frustration, disappointment, and righteous ******** nephew purchased a 2014 *** i3 from your Laurel location. After driving it for just two weeks, the vehicle began having serious issues and has been parked since March. Thats righthe drove it for 14 days, and it hasnt been safely drivable ********* sold him a vehicle that is now sitting dead while he continues to pay for it month after month. He was not told the vehicle was sold as-is. And even if it was in fine print somewhere, you should be ashamed of handing over a car in such poor condition to a hardworking young man trying to better his life.He took the vehicle to ***, and they told him the warranty he has doesnt cover anything. So now hes stuckwithout transportation, without support, and without a single solution from your team. Hes not ignoring your dealershiphe has simply stopped reaching out because every time he does, he receives nothing but bullcrap, runaround, and complete disregard for his concerns. He is mentally and emotionally exhausted, so much so that hes in therapy over this situation. How many more days should a paying customer cry over a purchase that was supposed to help them move forward?Meanwhile, Im sure your staff and management are commuting just fine in their vehiclesvehicles that dont die after 14 days. But did you ever stop to think, what if this were your child? It is shameful that a young man who was excited about buying his first car on his own had to be subjected to this. What started as a proud smile turned into a brokenhearted frown. If you can live with yourselves and sleep at night after this, more power to you.Eastern Motors claims to help those in need, like during your car giveaways. My nephew was one of those people in need. *****Review fromMichael A

1 starRunDont ******** from This Dealership! Extremely Unprofessional Experience I honestly can't believe I have to write a review like this. Just typing it feels surreal.I came in on 05/10/2025 for an evaluation on a possible trade-in and to purchase a used vehicle. What I experienced was completely unacceptable and unprofessional from beginning to end. After a four-hour visit with little to no transparency, I left without ever being told what loan amount I was approved foronly the APR. Multiple hard inquiries were made on my credit without proper explanation. I also gave them access to evaluate my trade-in vehicle and never received that information. Eventually, I was moved out of the sales area to the lounge and told the space was needed for other customers.I emailed the dealership afterward and received a call from a female manager who apologized several times and assured me shed follow up later that day with vehicle options that fit my budget. I never heard back. Then, on 05/12/2025, I received a call from the same salesperson I worked with on 05/10, ******. While he had been polite in person, this call took a disturbing turn. When I mentioned I planned to post a review about my experience, he warned me not to mention his nameand said there would be consequences if I did. That kind of language is threatening and completely unacceptable. He also said the call was being recorded without my consent, which is likely a violation of Marylands two-party consent law.Ive since reported the situation to management, including a detailed email and phone number/time of the call, urging them to listen to the recording if one exists. Stillno one from management or corporate has followed up.I walked out feeling like an inconvenience. And now *** been threatened by an employee. Thats more than bad serviceits approaching illegal behavior. If you value respect, professionalism, and your personal safetystay far away from this dealership.Review fromElaine H

1 starIm reaching out to formally complain about the frustrating and misleading experience I had at Easterns Automotive. What happened at your dealership left me feeling misled, disrespected, and completely let down. Im sharing this with the Better Business Bureau because I believe others should know about these issues.Your team told me I was fully approved for a car loan, not just pre-approved, but approved. They said I could pick two cars under a certain price and get them with no money down, guaranteed. I sent over everything they asked for: my pay stub, employment verification, and they even ran my credit. I picked out two cars as they instructed and was told theyd be at your location by 6:00 PM the next day for test drives. When I got to the dealership, the salesperson I met seemed to have no clue about my situation. They had me fill out another credit application, even though Id already provided all my info. When I asked why they didnt have my details on file, I got a vague excuse about needing to verify things again. After sitting there for two hours, I was told the cars I picked werent even at the location and that I wasnt approved for them after all. Instead, they tried to push me into an electric car I never asked ****** top it all off, the manager who was supposed to talk to me never showed up, even after I waited another hour. As I was leaving, the salesperson had the nerve to ask me to leave a good review. I was flooredhow could they think that was okay after wasting my time like that?It feels like Easterns Automotive is playing games with customers, making promises they dont keep and leaving people frustrated. This whole ordeal makes me question how your business operates. Im going to make sure others hear about this so they dont go through the same thing.Review fromMil S

1 starFirst of all this place ********************************************************************* is a joke. We went to purchase a car that I saw on their website. The salesman and the manager were extremely pushy. Just because I am female they try to force me to buy a car i didnt want too with low mileage ??????? We left the office without buying anything. I have been harassed by the employees in two different locations. I have received inappropriate text messages from ***** saying that * youre so beautiful* also we found it very weird the way he was acting towards my underage daughter asking for her name and telling her nice to meet you. ***** the salesman has been harassing me over the phone and in person. On Monday April 7th around 2:30 pm Mr. ***** was in his vehicle decided to approach me and my 8 years old daughter, he rolled down his window said something and I asked him nicely to not to speak to me at all, he started to disrespect me and my child telling me to shut the f up Infront of a child and public.Review fromERIKA W

1 starJoel A***** is a very rude, sneaky, unprofessional manager. The tags and title department trick you into signing paperwork, say that the put it into a safe, and forging signatures. They are very lazy and will make you get your own tags if not in the state of Maryland. Joel do better! I had to call the police on him at his own dealership! Who wants this stress!Review fromTherese L

1 starI wrote a review, and I need you to change the wording as if I'm writing to the ********** it is First visit I was told that two vehicles would be pulled up and ready for me to see. I called twice to confirm before making the two-hour drive from **********. We get there, and not only are the cars not there, but Floydthe guy at the frontwas rude and dismissive about it. No apology, no explanationjust an attitude, as if I was the one wasting his time. Then they tell me the location where the cars were was closed. So why did no one bother to call me before I wasted $40 in gas, put unnecessary miles on my lease, and spent $25 in tolls? After all that, the manager, *****, stepped in, and he was actually kind, professional, and willing to help. He worked with me over the phone after I left, answering all my questions, getting me an approval for a vehicle, and even helping me secure trustee approval. He was the only reason I considered moving forward after such a terrible first impression.Second Visit:After all the approvals and back-and-forth with *****, I thought everything was finalized. So, I made the two-hour drive again, this time paying $100 for someone to take us because we assumed wed be driving home with the car. ***** wasnt there this time BUT FIGURED Everything was in order. When we arrived, the car was right in front of us, and we started walking toward it. ***** immediately cut us off, saying, Thats not the car, and walked us inside. Once we were in the dealership, he told us they sold it. Meanwhile, my husband walked back outside, checked the *** number, and it was the exact same car we were supposed to be getting. I get they dont hold cars, but this was BS. Because I I called the following day spoke to customer service and the car is still available. Totally bait and switch. Now I see all the reviews with same stories like ours. This will be getting reportedReview fromRoman C

1 starCareful this dealership uses bait & switch pricing and Rip off dealer fee's should be illegal in *** but here we are. Taxes are understood and make sense, fees include $559.75 DMV (That is way too high) , then fee $20.00 electronic filing fee (Ok sure), $23.00 Lien Fee ( What lien fee I was buying cash), $799.00 Processing Fee (Really Rip Off) and $20.00 Temp Tag fee (Ok makes Sense)......Ok wait not shown any where on site cash buy now, ****** informs me that a LoJack is already installed on all their cars and will cost additional $999 on top of already crazy rip off fees Required. Typical east cost and west cost rip off auto dealers that have not been yet investigated or laws changed by state legislative branches.Review fromJuan M

1 starThis dealership is a complete rip off!!! They force warranties, gap insurance, extended warranties etc etc, just to get a deal done. They gave me $5500 for my trade but they jacked up the cost of the car I was buying by adding all the extras that i did not want!! So it was like my trade was given for free!!! They don't return emails or calls either! Horrible service I received I should have walked away from the deal but I had my heart set on this car!!!
