    My 2021 ********** Atlas VA UEX4910 was towed early this morning by Advanced Towing Company. I am a resident at *************** where my car was towed. My car has the required parking permit (see permit jpg). I have parking privileges in the garage too. There is no distinction in my lease between indoor or outdoor parking stickers--only that all cars must have one ( see lease jpg).I have lost over $315, including late fees and other charges (see towing receipt). Why did Advance Towing "kidnap" my vehicle? I have the parking permit displayed on my car window. Why are they operating in **************** like bandits licensed to steal? I demand the return of all monies owed me. I respectfully request my Virginia state representatives create laws and regulations to prevent predatory practices by thieving towing companies operating in *****************Very respectfully,***** *******

    1. Rim Damage:There is a visible hole in one of the rims, rendering the wheel structurally compromised and unsafe for operation. This damage alone makes the vehicle undrivable.2. Engine Failure with Burning Odor:The engine fails to start. Additionally, there is a noticeable burning smell originating from the engine compartment, indicating potential internal damage or electrical failure. Immediate mechanical assessment is required to determine the extent of the issue.3. Body Frame Misalignment:There is a visible and abnormal gap between the front bumper and the hood, suggesting structural misalignment or impact damage to the front end of the vehicle.4. Camera System Malfunction:The vehicles camera systems are non-operational. This includes any front, rear, or 360-degree cameras that may be installed on the vehicle, potentially due to electrical or physical damage caused during the incident.5.     I am seeking some sort of recourse from the *** of the bromptons or the towing company to take on some sort of liability. I parked my car at my dads apartment in the guest parking lot thursday night (12/26/24). I stayed there the past 2 nights with my proper decal visible to all. This time however, i forgot it, and my car was towed by the ***. During this process, my car received SIGNIFICANT damage on three parts, The Skid Plate on the front end of the vehicle, the logo on the front bumper was destroyed, and there is a new scratch on the back bumper. I have photos to corroborate this damage, and I know for a fact that the ADVANCED TOWING CO has photos of my vehicle before this damage occured. I requested to have these photos sent to me, however they declined to do so. They charged me 155 dollars even though my family has been a resident of the bromptons for 4 years. The Towing company refuses to comply with any of my requests to seek recourse on the matter, and hung up on me multiple times. I am going to get an estimate on the damages today, but I would like to get the BBB involved as well, because this has been the most sour experience I have ever had. I was just trying to visit my family for the holidays from college, but this ended up being a complete disaster. The towing and *** insist that they have no liability in the matter, but that seems completely unfair, and I have now read countless reviews about this happeing to others. The photos attached are my bill, and pictures of the damage my car recieved after the towing company carelessly and wrongfully took my vehicle.

    My car was towed by Advanced Towing in ********. They towed my car from my driveway on Monday and forced me to pay $180 to get it back. I have tried to explain the situation in person and over the phone several times and have been completely ignored. My landlord called them to verify my address is where I was towed and they still will not refund.

    On 2024-12-07 I parked in the parking lot by the TREK bike store and &pizza in *********** (*****************************). I was there for less than an hour right near an open business, and was towed by Advanced Towing. They actively are patrolling for cars to tow, even when there is zero impact and plausible reason for cars to be there.This company has a documented history of predatory towing practices: **************************************************************************************************************************

    - Occurred on Thursday, September 27th, 2024 - My car was towed from my apartment parking garage, despite the fact that I have a valid parking permit - I got into an argument with the people at the tow company and then one of the tow truck drivers started screaming in my face at the top of his lungs and was coming toward me as if he was going to attack me.- This individual and another tow truck driver threatened physical violence on me despite me trying to de-escalate the situation.- In the end I was forced to pay and did so without any further confrontation, fearing for my safety and damages to my vehicle.

    On 22 July, I went to two establishments within the ************************ and my vehicle was towed. I have provided the receipts of the establishments I went to as well as a picture of the sign that states parking is only for the ************************. Advanced towing was the company who towed me, and they used a spotter and a tow truck that was parked in an alley behind CVS and out of view. ************** told me that the parking was ONLY for CVS customers. One of my purchases was at CVS and when I informed her of the sign, she could not explain it. The sign clearly states parking is for customers of the ************************. Advanced towing offered no explanation as to why my vehicle was towed and told me if I have a problem to call the police and hung up on me. I called a total of 8 times after that and was hung up on and/or placed on hold. Thier customer ********************** was terrible, and the lady was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I arrived at the Advanced Towing establishment, she accused me of throwing my credit card at her and threatened to end our business without allowing me to take back my vehicle. I never threw anything at her and they had a camera recording everything. When I brought that up, all she did was smirk. She smirked throughout our entire exchange. She also did not take two of my big-name credit cards. I believe this is because these banks/credit companies no longer take their business because of how unethical and immoral they are. That day it was raining all day. I had to leave my girlfriend in the rain to stand outside her vehicle because she was too afraid to come with me in fear her jeep would be towed next. Her keys were in my towed vehicle. I believed I was towed because I was in the parking lot too long and they used predatory tactics with a spotter. Several people explained they routinely tow people who park in this lot regardless of their business. I had to also pay for an **** to get to Advanced towing.

    On June 29, 2024 we parked in the parking lot by cloud Caf in ****************** at approximately 9:35 PM not realizing there was a sign located in this area because its a big lot. It was dark and we couldnt see approximately 18 minutes later or 20 minutes later, someone came and told us that our car is being towed in ******************. We got there. The driver saw I went to the 7-Eleven to ask if they gave permission for our car to be towed and they said no I called the towing company explaining to them that we were only there for 18 minutes , the location of the company is approximately 10 minutes away from that location so it seems that someone as soon as we park there gave the tow company a call and they made the trip down. This is unacceptable. This is a scam.

    On June 1, 2024 advanced towing towed my car without cause and refused to return it to me until I paid $185. I was parked at Giant on *************** in ************. I was parked there for 19 minutes before they towed my car. I have a receipt from the Giant to prove I shopped there. Their claim is I left the property before shopping (which I did, briefly) and the second I left I was no longer a customer. The quickness of the tow shows their predatory behavior. There are dozens of similar reviews online, many of which make claims of vehicle damage. Review their reviews on ****** for more info. This business needs to be looked into. *************************************************

    My truck was towed on 4/13/24 from the *************. I was parked in an area without signage indicating it was a no parking area. I had run into the mall for less than 15 minutes to pick up an order that I had placed. When I finally tracked down who had my truck, I was told that it would cost me $300 to get it back. When I got to Advanced Towing and asked how my truck was towed, I was told that it was just picked up by a wrecker. I told the woman at the desk that since its a 4wd, it needed to be placed on a flat bed and she told me that it didnt. I know that it does for a fact. My truck is lifted with oversized and wide tires so the dolly will not work. (Ive had experience with this in the past when I had some work done on it.) She then told me that the driver mustve disconnected the linkage. I then asked her if she saw him reconnect the linkage and she told me she did not see him when he came in, yet she was the only one in the yard. I was able to record my entire conversation with the woman. While there, I was able to hear a conversation she had with one of their drivers who was on speakerphone complaining about not getting cars. She instructed him that he needed to be quicker about getting peoples cars. To me this sounded very predatory. I paid my money and got my truck back. When I opened the door, the drivers seatbelt was wrapped through the steering wheel in order to keep the front wheels straight which then became obvious to me that my truck was NOT dollied and was NOT taken on a flat bed. The seatbelt also left damages to my steering wheel, in which I have pictures. I am going to have a shop check my transfer case for damage. I will also be contacting a lawyer.
