On the evening of June 5th, I parked in the designated visitor section of an apartment complex in **********, **, which requires guests to pay for parking through an online portal. However, there were no posted signs in the lot explaining how or when to pay. The parking instructions and required login credentials were only available to residents via their leasing documents. As a result, I had to briefly leave my vehicle to obtain the necessary info from the resident before I could register and pay.I parked at 9:20 PM and left my car at 9:25 PM. I completed payment for three full days of parking at 9:34 PM, as confirmed by my payment receipt. At 9:38 PM, I received a text stating that my vehicle was parked without a permit. When I returned to the lot, I found my car had already been towed.A towing company representative patrolling the lot told me the violation was recorded at 9:33 PM, just one minute before I completed payment. However, their own timestamped evidence shows my car still in its parking space at that time, meaning it had not yet been physically towed. Preparing a vehicle for towing takes more than a minute, and my payment process began before 9:33 PM. Despite this, the towing was carried out and no effort was made to verify whether payment had been completed shortly afterward.I attempted to resolve the matter with both the apartment complex and the towing company. Each blamed the other and refused to assist. The towing company staff were unprofessional, rude, and dismissive, refusing to look at my evidence or let me speak to a manager. I was forced to pay $200 to recover my vehicle.Research reveals this company has a pattern of similar complaints and questionable practices, including using lot spotters to initiate near-immediate tows. I believe I was subjected to such predatory tactics despite making a good-faith effort to follow the parking rules.I am filing this complaint to formally document and dispute the tow and the treatment I received.

I am filing this complaint against A1 Towing due to a highly unreasonable and predatory towing incident. My vehicle was towed from inside a residential parking garage that I pay for monthly. The reason? I was parked slightly over a yellow line in a remote corner of the garage, away from any other vehicles, posing no obstruction, hazard, or inconvenience to anyone. There was no warning, no notice, and no attempt to communicate just an immediate, aggressive tow by A1. Their actions were not only unjustified, but clearly opportunistic, targeting tenants over minor technicalities that have no real impact. This is a blatant example of a towing company exploiting tenants for profit under the guise of enforcement.Their conduct reflects a total lack of common sense, fairness, or professionalism. I am requesting a full refund for the tow and urging that an investigation be launched into their practices. Companies like A1 Towing should not be allowed to continue operating under such predatory tactics.

This towing company is a scam hand-in-hand with **************. I submitted all the required documents as a guest at ************** but my car was towed despite being a registered and paying guest. They did not even bother to confirm this with the front desk. It seems, they tow cars at wish from hotel parking lots and the owner is left to retrieve the car and pay for it. What kind of a world do we live in?In addition, the owner of the towing company was rude and unhelpful. I was left standing in the compound looking for someone to help me to access my car.

Naturally, this towing company will not respond and cannot be held accountable for unethical practices.  If there is a way to warn others, please do so.  May the wrong they practice come back to them.

A-1 manages the contract to tow for local properties. Last night they claimed around 1:11 am, they towed my vehicle. I went out to my car last night at 1am after Dungeons and Dragons to smoke a cigarette, no tow was there. My car was there till 1:13 when I exited, after which I assume they took it. It was parked in a CLEARLY MARKED (or easily misunderstood to be marked) space ON MY PROPERTY LINE. When getting up at 11 today to leave for work, the car was gone. They went back and forth with me, so I went to my manager **** Musharak who advised I called the manager at ***************, the next door property the space bordered, and ask if they towed it. Dominion Confirmed through a manager named *******, said she can confirm the space was not clearly marked, and that she would release it no contest because that is BETWEEN property lines and considered the Wellington. There was a Red Arrow denoting where the Property began and ended, and I was parked directly next to it. There were no clear "No Parking in this space" signs between properties, and I was parked in the Wellington side. A1 was not requested by **** to tow, they towed from "Dominion" they claimed. On call, I had to **** to them, when I arrived they claimed they spoke to Dominion as did my Manager, and I will attach that email statement as well. They said "The manager here at a-1 sides with our driver, even though our contractor told us to return the car, we will not" and charged me 185 for it. This was after ******* of Dominion Towers already told them twice to return the vehicle from her property because it was NOT their property line, and parking in an UNMARKED SPACE in the STATE of ** is a ticket ONLY, not a towable offense. A-1 doubled down and made me pay to repossess my car. I want a refund and apology through BBB or I am seeking litigation in 30 days if the BBB cannot help me resolve this.Contractually and legally, once Dominion said no they HAVE to return my car. Towed from my apartment complex in the guest parking and residential. I have residential tags and had gotten a guest permission to park there. They would not accept my credit card and were trying to get me to pay cash only. They do not have a phone that works and would not confirm my car was in their possession.

I was towed on January 9th after being parked for only 15 mins in a private guest parking lot. I was towed becuase I put a wrong digit for my license plate number in the pango parking app that is required to park at the apartment complex. The visitor parking lot where I was parked was completely empty. I entered the zone correctly and my 7 digit MD license plate I entered one digit wrong on their app, so they towed it right away. To make matters worse I had a punctured tired that I found out the next day which I had to replace at dealership, that cost me another $400 on top of the $200 for the towing. I think its very cruel and unfair to remove a car after 15 mins for unpaid meter when it was so obvious the meter that was paid for the time I was there was my car. Only one digit was off it was so cold outside, and the zone was right. Instead of putting 4FC3703 in their app I put 4FC3803, but the parking zone # was correct as was the State of my car. Afterwards I realized they also ruined my tire which I had to replace at dealership for $403.

On Friday, December 6th at 8:34PM A-1 Towing ILLEGALLY towed my personal property from my residence, ********************************************************************* I was parked in a *********************************************************************************************** my window bringing down another load of moving boxes as I was actively moving out only to find that my car had been illegally removed from the property. The towing company did not ask the concierge or property management who, after speaking with her, she had let us know it was only a matter of 3 minutes that she was away from her desk and didn't see this towing occur. Upon calling the company, the employees could not be more unprofessional between cursing me out and hanging up the phone without offering any additional information on where to get my car or how much I would owe. When I asked in a final call to pay over the phone and have them bring the car back, they requested me to send all of my credit card information via email--clearly an identity theft concern. If you take a look at their ****** and Yelp reviews, it is clear the business they are operating is inhumane and bordering illegal. Please investigate this further as a business like this should not be allowed to continue to harass and terrorize private tenants that pay monthly for their parking and have all of the necessary tags demonstrated. I am ready to pursue litigation at this point.

After purchasing a guest pass this company towed my car anyway and refused to look at the proof that they shouldn't have. Not to mention the gate was supposed to be down ,meaning they were not even supposed to be in the area they were. They damaged my property inside or my vehicle and robbed me of money I did not owe them.

This company illegally towed the car. The car had a paper from the building office which clearly had the date on it, they towed the car anyway. This business only has 1 and 2 star reviews and operates under immoral and unethical practices, also illegal. BBB must investigate.
