ALPHA WARRANTY refuses to cover costs of covered repairs, they state their data says the parts and labor should be less that what each shop is charging. However all qualified repair shops charge the same. For the parts and labor. Nowhere in my contract it says ALPHA only pays half. It says 'Admistrator agrees to pay for the replacement or repair of parts' which my contract allows as I have the A+ Enhanced with 0 deductible.Business Response

In each of our contracts, we clearly state that we base our coverage of labor costs on the "ALLDATA Automotive Intelligence" published rates, which is the auto repair industry's *************** for fair and reasonable labor rates. This ensures we have a consistent source of fair labor costs regardless of the repair facility's geographic location across the country. We're sorry this customer believes the labor rates his contract is obligated to pay are not current. Alpha Warranty does not control the rates individual repair facilities charge for their labor.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: the cost of the parts are the issue not the labor.

As indicated in the contract, Alpha Warranty Services covers parts up to the **** (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price). As you know, repair facilities are businesses and can mark up the parts they install however they want based on their company's policies or other factors. As outlined in our previous response, Alpha Warranty Services uses the industry standard ALL DATA reference guide for pricing on labor and parts. For the repair to your vehicle, the **** on the parts required is $140.36. Your repair facility charged $269.64, a markup of $129.28 each. Since your vehicle needed three of those parts, the markup came to $387.84. Alpha Warranty does not dictate the price a repair facility charges for the parts it buys to install on customers' vehicles, which is why the company relies on the industry standard **** and Labor guide to ensure fair coverages on its service contracts.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:4 different shops quoted the same prices for the repair and when I called ALPHA for an explanation I was told they can't share any information with me they would only speak to the shop. Alpha warranty would only pay for inferior parts that would not suitable. I picked up my car from the shop on Saturday 17th and it's already back in the shop for the same repair today Thursday 22nd.
Sincerely,

Alpha Warranty Solutions is requiring me to submit all my service records even though there is no evidence to support that I did not keep up with my servicing records.Business Response

Modern vehicles are very complex machines and require regular maintenance to keep them functioning properly and providing ***************** transportation to their owners. All customers who submit claims to Alpha Warranty Service for repairs under the vehicle service contract they purchased are required to submit maintenance records for review by our certified technicians. We do this to make sure the vehicle has been properly cared for and maintained to the manufacturer's specifications and to ensure the vehicle's repairs are due to normal use instead of neglect. In ****************** case, Alpha Warranty is simply requesting his maintenance records to follow our process. If he has maintained his vehicle according to the manufacturer's specifications, and the repairs required qualify for coverage, Alpha Warranty stands ready to provide the contracted coverage required.Initial Complaint

I recently purchased a used car on 8/2021 from **************************. At the time of purchase I also purchased an extended warranty from Alpha Warranties. Since Ive bought this warranty alpha has denied numerous claims including for parts explicitly stated in the warranty. Right now according to the technicians my car has a failing water pump but alpha will not cover it until it is completely failed. If I let the water pump fail this will further damage my engine and create further loss to me that alpha will not cover.Business Response

Hello, after some additional research into this claim, the claims management has determined that ************************** denied claim for a failing water pump and covered **************** should be overturned. To expedite this claim and coverage, we need ********************** to contact our **************** team at ************ or have his Repair Facility contact us. If the repairs have already been completed, Alpha Warranty will be providing a reimbursement through the Repair Facility. We apologize for the error.Initial Complaint

Hello , i had purchased a 2014 mustang GT the same day i also purchased a warranty from Alpha warranty. I started to have issues with my vehicle last month so i took it to the closest mechanic available to have it worked on. My car had after market modifications done to it since day 1 & alpha warranty noticed it from the pictures that was sent by the mechanic So they said they had to get confirmation the vehicle was purchased this way from the dealership which they did. So after getting the confirmation they told the mechanic to break down the engine and find the problem. After the mechanic found the problem i was quoted $9000 in repairs. Alpha then requested an additional $1250 as a surcharge fee for the modifications which was paid. Then the next day they said they were going to look into prices to see if they could do anything cheaper which they couldnt. They then said we arent going to cover anything and closed my claim even after taking an additional $1250 from me on top of the $2500 i had already paid from day 1. So now they stole close to $4000 off me and i have a $9000 mechanic bill waiting for me.Business Response
