1 starI first did an NIPT test with these idiots at 11 weeks on 3/21 which resulted in a lab error after I waited two weeks for results. So I resubmitted a new sample on 4/7. This time I didn't get any email about the sample and when I tried to register my bar code it would not let me. So I called customer service who said they received the sample on 4/9 but didn't know why I couldn't register the bar code. They told me they would email me after they called the lab to find out. This was on 4/15. They never did. Surprise. Surprise. I called back on 4/17 and they were finally able to register my barcode so I could log in to my account. And that customer service *** assured me the latest I'd have my results was today, 4/21. Well, I log in today and it says they received my sample on 4/17 even though I've been told by 2 different customer service ***s they've had it since 4/9. And you can't even call them on Mondays bc their call center is so flooded with phone calls. So, now I am forced to wait even longer for results I should already have and I will be 16 weeks by the time I get these results (assuming they haven't made another lab error which is highly likely considering my blood test has been probably sitting in the lab degrading for weeks now). I'm so disgusted with this company. It us negligence to not have this testing turned around in the proper time frame.Review fromJen M

1 starWorst experience of my life. This process is stressful and disappointing and no new mom wants this. We are STILL waiting for results even after giving blood 3 weeks ago. Some friends of ours went through other companies and received their results under a week. If I could rate this place lower than a 1 star, I would.Review fromChris G

1 starMy wife underwent the Prequel genetic screening. The laboratory received the blood sample on February 21st, and we were informed that the processing time would be between 4 and 7 days. However, as of March 7th, the sample is still in the processing phase. Despite our efforts to contact our doctor and customer support, we were repeatedly informed that the sample had been placed in the processing phase on three separate occasions. Each time it was placed in the processing phase, the 4-7 day window was reset. We directly contacted the representative and were advised to wait 4-7 days for the results, but we were not provided with any explanation for the extended processing time. This experience has led us to question the reliability of this company for handling blood cultures.Review fromMegan E

1 starHorribly run. I did the Prequel genetic screening blood test this past week and though they claim they received my sample by the next day, I am still (5 days later) unable to register the sample. When I reached out to their customer service days ago they informed me that this was due to their not having correct insurance info for me (yet the website claimed they had not received an order from my provider). Once we sorted out my insurance info, the representative assured me I would receive my welcome email allowing me to register within ***** hours. This time frame has passed. Now it is the weekend and they have nobody available by call or email to discuss troubleshooting. Now when I try to register my sample it says my information (full name, date of birth) don't even match anyone in their system. This is beyond frustrating and should not happen.Review fromHelen R

1 starMy doctor recommended I get a genetic screening for breast cancer given my family history. They arranged it through Myriad and got it approved by my insurance company. The blood test was simple and I got the results. After that, dealing with Myriad became a nightmare. They filed with the insurance company in the wrong state. It took forever to straighten out and I kept initiating phone calls both with Myriad and the insurance company to figure it out. They told me over the phone that it was their fault and I would never owe any money until the insurance company paid it. But they started sending billing notices again, so I called and they said they would cancel them. Finally, my insurance company paid (about 5 months after the test). As soon as the check cleared, I paid the bill online. In the meantime, Myriad started sending me nasty notices from their internal billing collection agency (the first one was dated after I had paid my bill). These are ongoing almost 2 months later even though the bill was paid and I wrote them and they notified their billing collection agency of the situation. It has been a nightmare to work with them.Review fromStephanie M

1 starReeks of fraudulent activity. Extremely unprofessional customer service, if it can even be called that. Lack of transparency. Lack of communication with patients. Feels very much like this company is in the business of stealing healthcare consumer data.Review fromAriel W

1 starMy doctor had let me know that the hospital had an outside source for genetics testing for early determination of the *** of our child. I prefer to plan ahead with pregnancy so I was interested in the service. The from the doctors office was estimated at $200 for the service. My husband and I verbally agreed to that service and the doctor submitted the request for the lab testing. However, after the service was completed and the *** of our child was determined Myriad Genetics sent me a bill for $607.24. The invoice showed the charges were $2,000 and my insurance covered $1,392.76, leaving the out of pocket charge of $607.24 for me to pay. This was an outrageous statement for a multitude of reasons. (1) The sales team at Myriad that trains the hospital staff to suggest there services has a poor sales pitch. If I had known the true cost of this service was $2,000, I never would have agreed to it. (2) The Myriad agent I spoke with said if I immediately paid my charge over the phone they would drop the remaining balance from $607.24 to $249. I paid the balance over the phone to settle the bill, but I honestly should not have been charged anything since insurance covered so much. The TRUE cost of this service was never disclosed due to how the service was pitched in the first place. I will be contacting my hospital to disclose the confusion in these business practices with Myriad. (3) Lastly, Myriads business plan seems to be that they take advantage of financially illiterate pregnant women. If I was not smart enough to ask questions and push for this discount, I could have easily paid the full $607.24 balance. If a judge were to subpoena records of this company regarding the consistency of billing and charges to pregnant women, I believe theyd be found guilty of fraudulent business practices. I shouldnt have had to pay any balance considering my insurance covered so much and I was scared into thinking $249 was at least better than $607.24.Review fromKatina L

1 starI am shocked and outraged by Surprise Billing. I was told that I am super high risk and recommended Myriad Genetics. They told that the cost would be around $200 if I paid now, but when submitted the pretest from Myriad Genetics it gave me the green light as being covered. And then, I called my insurance and they told me that the test would be covered. I am now receiving a bill for $1727.69 from Myriad Genetics, who billed my insurance $6040. There was a $4312 adjustment. This appears to be a very fraudulent practice and very unfair business practice. I would NOT have opted into testing, if I had known this very UNFAIR business practice. I am more than willing to pay a reasonable cost, but was told $249 WITHOUT Insurance and told it was covered with insurance and NOTHING about an inflated $6040 test and definitely cannot pay $1727 for it. This is a very deceptive practice.
