The online company Marcus by Goldman Sachs, uses a company named **** to handle part of their Deposit and Fraud affairs. **** is known to hire drug addicts and criminals. The company had to fire a good percentage of staff because they failed to do proper background checks. I was not trained properly for my role and was thrown on the floor with empty promises that we will have trainers to walk around and answer questions. I've read reviews and it seems because Goldman Sachs entrusted their affairs with the likes of ****. **** has leadership who they just randomly threw in the roles because I received this from the horses mouth and it shows. I think Goldman Sachs should reconsider their relationship with this company given the fact their have been numerous misfiling of disputes. Placing customer's accounts on hold who should not even be considered suspicious.

Very fraudulent bank. Deposited a check into my savings account and it has cleared over two months. When I tried taking some funds out, they blocked my account and been giving me the run around. Every representative tells you a different thing, saying they will escalate the issue, leave notes, but nothing happens. They will send you dispute letters, tell you they are investigating your case, investigation over, and in your favor, but still will not give you your money. They record calls but once you tell them you are recording too they will hung up. SCAM *** SCAM OF A FINANCIAL INSTITUTION

It is common for customers of ********************** to experience significant difficulties in getting their funds disbursed. Several complaints report that large transfers or withdrawals are delayed, declined without clear reasons, or put on hold due to unexplained security or system issues. Customers often face poor communication from customer service, being bounced between representatives with conflicting information or no resolution. Some accounts are even locked or frozen due to identity verification problems, with limited guidance on how to resolve the situation while funds remain inaccessible. These problems can cause serious stress, especially when funds are needed for time-sensitive purposes like home purchases.

Would not allow me to transfer funds to my sons savings account. Their policy does not reflect current bank common practice. They could not find anyone to request an exception or change to the policy

Great banking service and love the apple wallet feature. But when I had debt they started calling me non stop even on weekends. I under calling me to get me to pay my debt but calling me on the weekends, when I'm trying to relax from working during the week, unsatisfactory.

Warning About My Recent Experience with Marcus by Goldman Sachs Im writing this post out of frustration and disappointment, hoping it might help someone else avoid the ************* May, I tried to transfer funds from my Marcus accounts to my long-standing *** accounts. These are well established and has a history of transfers. However, the transaction was blocked because I had reset my password. I understand the need for security, but I still had to spend time on the phone verifying everything with their team. The process was far more difficult than it shouldve been. Just today, I discovered through my physical mail that both my personal and joint Marcus accounts had been closed in late June. I hadnt received any email, phone call, or notification that this was going to happen. When I called them, I was told the accounts were closed because they couldnt verify my identity and that I hadn't reset my password. This completely contradicts what I was told back in May, when they said the reason my transfer was initially blocked was because I had reset it. Meanwhile, the money transfer I initiated was completed after my first call with them which suggests I was verified. Yet now they blame me for not taking the proper steps. Now Ive been left spending hours on the phone, opening a dispute, and will have to wait 710 business days to start sorting this out. My husband's individual account was also blocked, and this had nothing to do with my personal or joint accounts. He had to call Marcus separately to try to resolve that issue, which was a completely unnecessary inconvenience, and remains in limbo. He was told that they would reach out via phone or email to let him know next steps so he can access his account. Ive lost time, energy, and trust. It seems unscrupulous that all of our accounts are locked, interest reversed, and well have to wait days to get some answers, all because I tried to update my password.

Terrible bank. I do not recommend anyone to deal with them. In April 2025, I opened a ?D account. On May 20, I received a letter by mail that my account was closed on May 15 at the initiative of the bank. The bank does not explain the reasons for closing the account. At the same time, they blocked the entrance to the online bank, so I could not even see my balance and where the money was. After numerous negotiations on the phone (each conversation takes at least an hour), they gave me access to the online bank. And what do I see there? I see the balance on the account is 0! After that, my torment with this bank began. On May 28, they told me that they would start an investigation to find out where my money was. 10 days passed. No information. I called them again. They asked me to send them by mail a statement from the bank from which I replenished the ** account in Marcus. I sent them. Then again, nothing happened. On June 10, I called them again. Marcus told me to inquire about the money in the bank from which I replenished the accounts in Marcus. That they supposedly sent the money back. I contacted my bank (****************). ***** Fargo told me that they had not received any money from Marcus. I called Marcus again. They told me again to wait 5-10 days. After that, Marcus sent me a letter that I had to fill out. It was another application for investigation. I filled it out and sent it. A few more days passed. I called Marcus again. They told me that they had received a completed application from me and that I had to wait another 10 business days. In the end, more than a month has passed, but I still have no information about my money, what to do next, or the timing. As a result, there is no money and no ************** real estate deal is off.

I invested with Marcus GS No Penalty CDs over past 5 months for the first time and bought (2) 7 month CDs. Anytime I needed to call customer support I reached personnel that were poorly trained and could hardly read or comprehend a simple question. Escalating to supervisor was an awful ordeal with long wait times and when they finally would take my call had terrible attitudes and couldn't answer basic questions. Due to security breach on my PC in past 60 days, I needed to close CDs and open up duplicate CD accounts with new account numbers. Since the current APR were lower than the CDs I had to close, I asked for the percentage yield to be matched, a whopping .15% difference. While the supervisor assured this would be readily handled in few days time, after calling repeatedly over ensuing 3 weeks and submitting repeat cases it finally got corrected but they shortened the maturity date so I had to again escalate to supervisors with poor attitudes and long wait times to get corrected. After another 2 weeks and repeatedly contacting supervisors and submitting multiple cases it never got corrected and repeatedly asking for callbacks from a manager never got called, so in disgust closed my CDs. I found better high yield savings account options with regional banks that offered much better service. It has been a terrible nightmare experience dealing with this online bank staff and can't fathom how they have no management support and never can reach a manager with all the deposits they collect. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONLINE BANK - SERVICE IS TERRIBLE and THEY'RE HANDLING OF YOUR MONEY IS SUSPECT! BETTER OPTIONS ELSEWHERE!
