I was excited to advance my knowledge IT and took QuickStarts cybersecurity bootcamp. The first couple weeks were all about learning how computers and networks work. What is messed up is their refund window ends before you start your first project. This is where I got frustrated. I was using a Mac and they said everything would work fine in my computer. They sent over a document to download software like ***** Unfortunately, the steps werent working for me and I tried to get assistance making sure everything was installed correctly because nothing was working the way it should. Their response was you need to figure it out. I tried to get different people from QuickStart to help me but I was just getting deferred to figure it out. I asked for a refund and because they got paid already, they werent going to refund me. I took out a 3rd party loan for this and now Im throwing my money away. They want to scam you out of money! I 10/10 do not recommend going through QuickStart for anything.Review from Craig B

The ONLY positive thing to say about this school was the instructor, *******..however the school is planning to phase him out sadly. Every other person who works here is virtually useless. The labs hardly work, the "lecture" videos are horrendous, better to watch ******** You will literally learn nothing and job placement is non existent. When you attempt to complain about the school to the school's advisor he will either outright ignore you or deny all your claims. Lastly, career placement does not exist. They do not help for anything and they will not help you find a job. This course is literally a scam and I wish I could get my $6800.00 back as I wasted 6 months and a lot of money.Review from Abraham P

I regret signing up for this course on quickstart!I had called to Cancel the course in time before the due date. I had submitted a ticket and it showed that the ticket was received and the ticket was closed I was left thinking that i had successfully dropped out of the class! This company has no good communication! Now they're stating that i owe ******! I'm going to have to get a lawyer because this is unacceptable!!Review from Emmanuel S

I am a former contractor for the owner and CEO of QuickStart, EnableU, PaceLearn, EdTechVentures, and other companies under different names. QuickStart, like the other companies owned by ****************** are similar companies, oftentimes offering the same exact program under different names and descriptions. The programs are poor and will likely not result in the promised success upon completion. The recruitment practices and ways of offering funding resources should be really closely investigated because things are not as they are promised.I completed my work several months ago and still have not gotten paid for my final invoice. They have asked me to sign documents to get paid, but I refuse to do anything outside our original agreement. Be careful doing anything with any of these companies.Review from David R

The quality of education is abysmal and the professionalism of those working for the company is not any better. Do not waste your money. I immediately requested a refund and, although the company promised I would receive one, they keep ignoring my emails and pushing the transaction date back. The way this is going, I will likely need to seek legal counsel to have any chance of obtaining any type of refund. I don't know how any university could promote this type of business.Review from Taylor H.

I did the web development Bootcamp and I thought it was great! Also I did this while in college and they were very flexible. I took my time and self paced the experience. They also worked with me personally to help me finish and get my certificate.Review from Rodrigo F

I had an awesome experience with the Data Science bootcamp and greatly enjoyed having **** as my mentor. Being able to discuss in class and get further teachings on the subjects we were working on helped me a lot and I would say that was the best thing about the bootcamp experience. My biggest pain point was some issues with the ** within the bootcamp dashboard. Specifically, for some modules some of the links would not work for me, and some tests or quizzes would glitch and say I already completed them when I haven't.Nonetheless, ****** and the support team were quick to look at the issues and guide me through them.Review from E. As a contractor working with Quickstart, I have found receiving payment for my completed work to be a difficult, drawn out battle. I have requested payment for the year 2021 (it is now March 28, 2022) around New Year's. I have had my request to be fairly compensated for my hard work as per contract put off for 3 months now, despite a number of polite reminders.I place this review here as a warning to contractors deciding to work with Quickstart. You will find it a prolonged chase to receive fair compensation from Quickstart for your work. I will see if I want to resolve this injustice perpetrated against me in small claims court.QuickStart Learning, Inc Response

How did you try to reach out to me? Telepathically?I have sent *** my ACH info two weeks ago. I have received no reply. I sent a follow-up email one week later. Again I have received no reply. This is typical of your organization's sleazy behavior. Don't expect me to be dropping this issue. You have been given a service and you have not paid for it.Review from Sean N

This was the cheapest bootcamp I was able to find and I got what I paid for. I was initially told by their admissions advisor that the program was self paced and I would have a year to complete it. As soon as I provided my deposit, I learned that it was not self paced and I would be completing 5 assignments amongst a cohort within 6 months. I was also told we would be learning 12 languages by the end of this. First off, I now know that's an immensely unreasonable expectation to set for beginners, which is what this bootcamp was marketed to me as. Second off, I now know this to be untrue, as they play fast and loose with the turn "language." In reality it's actually maybe four languages and several frameworks that don't make sense until you have a mastery over the actual language (which you don't get here). The videos were inconsistent and confusing. I often found myself following the instructions to the letter only to have to scour ****** for the answer. Eventually I just stopped watching the videos altogether because they were a waste of time and if I was going to struggle through this program, I thought I might as well just struggle through the five assignments and claw my way to the end. My instructor was a nice dude and I appreciated how forward he was. He even acknowledged at one point that the program sucked. But no one else can be bothered to read or reply to an email. They were nice enough to let me defer to a new cohort since I fell so far behind struggling to keep up with the unrealistic pace they set. But it literally took them 3 months to answer my request to defer and were pretty passive aggressive when it took me a week to reply to one of theirs. I ended up being 12 weeks ahead of the class in the new cohort they put me. Many of the questions I had for the professor during the classes went unanswered since I was so far ahead, though he answered what he could. Essentially I truly learned to code by myself and simply donated money to QuickStart.
