    ******* ***** *** * ***** hired ABC Professional Tree Service to clear powerlines across the City of Memphis. Three times ABC Tree trimmed a large 150 ft high oak tree on my property so severely, the tree was dying and leaning over my house.. i contacted ***** on Thursday October 10th, '24 about my risk and the need to fully remove the tree. i heard nothing back for 5 days at which time i hired a third party contractor to remove the tree. I sought reimbursement from **** by filing an extensive claim including pictures and time line. Only to be rejected and sent to their contractor ABC Tree. I filed the same claim with supporting evidence to ABC Tree who denied as not their responsibility but ******. I am getting the finger pointing in each others direction, but to no avail. i require reimbursement of the $11,800 i spent out of pocket to remove the tree and the risk of falling on my house.

    I can
    appreciate your frustration. A thorough investigation into the alleged claim
    that our company was responsible for the leaning & loss of your oak tree has
    been carried out. As previously stated, the trimming to your tree in 2022 &
    2023 were following ice storms to the Memphis area. We were called to assist
    the utility in restoring the power. The trimming was done in conjunction with the
    utility linemen. This was not routine vegetation management maintenance.
    It was necessary trimming to restore the downed power lines caused by the ice
    storms. ABC Professional Tree Service, Inc. did not cause the tree to
    lean.

    I whole heartedly disagree with ABC Trees position that they caused no harm to my tree, or it uprooting due the damage they caused. This continues the loop of **** claiming it’s ABC Tree’s responsibility, and ABC pointing me back to ****.

    A certified arborist has reviewed all of the photos you provided. His assessement is that the lean and gradual slow decay of the oak tree was not caused by trimming this tree.

    your certified arborist could not make such a judgement without seeing the tree in person, examining the roots, noting the weight of the remaining limbs on the opposite side of where the severe pruning was done. 

    This is a further attempt to deny my legitimate claim for loss. They carry insurance for these matters. Do we need to resort to legal recourse?

    documentation and concluded that our trimming activities did not cause the tree
    to lean.

    (****) or any other party. Our focus is solely on evaluating our work and
    determining whether it contributed to the issue. Based on an arborist’s
    professional opinion, there is no evidence that our trimming caused the tree’s
    condition. As a responsible business, we operate with professionalism and in
    accordance with proper vegetation management standards.

    We

    On Wednesday 9/4/2024 they came to clean the power lines trees all the way down my driveway .. which they do every year to 2 years. They came with the big machine with the long arm and tires as tall as a house and the turned around in my drive and tore up my grass and the drive with those tires. You have no right coming past the last power pole that part of the driveway is mine .. if you choose to bring that big a** machine down a driveway then back the b**** up and back it in and drive out. Dont go turning around in private property! And they still have a mess. If you didnt find my driveway that way when you arrived then fix it ! Before you a** leaves it !!

    This company was contracted by ******* to trim trees in and around my neighborhood. They did not clean up the debris, it rained and the debris ended up in the creek right next to where they had trimmed the trees, and dammed up the creek at a culvert at the end of my road, causing the creek to back flow into our property. We had 3-4 inches of water flood our entire house. Most of our flooring has to be replaced, 18 inches above our baseboards had to be cut out, dried out, mold preventative sprayed in and then re-drywalled. We also lost quite a bit of personal property such as furniture, bedding and clothing.

    A full investigation and review of all the photos you sent to us and the utility company was completed. The evening of March 14th there was a severe storm with baseball size hail, wind speeds up to 60 mph, medium tornado risk, and 4 inches of rain fell. This was an act of nature.

    [Acts of nature happen all the time. We have had significant amounts of rain in the past, however had *** cleaned up their debris, the creek wouldn't have overflowed into our property. The creek was put into place to prevent this type of flooding. ******* and their contracted company, ABC Professional ************ ARE liable and should have to reimburse us for all the damages and loss of property we have incurred. ]

The amount of rain will drain from the higher elevations into the lower elevation. See the attached flood risk factor for your address. We are not liable for the damage to your home.

    I contacted the company on December the 20th and left a voicemail because nobody would answer. I also contacted ************** because on the back of their trucks, they said they were working in conjunction with them. Me and my girlfriend do not want this company to be on our property ever again for any reason due to them, leaving trash in our driveway, and sitting in their vehicles before 8 AM in our driveway, which woke us up due to having ring cameras. They also left ruts in the yard, all of which I have photographs of, and we also have a camera mounted to our carport. I left messages with the company to have somebody return my call, and nobody ever did.

    I just received a call from a company stating they get three to four calls a month with complaints about this company. They said theyre are using their name. I had called them after researching on the web. Not sure why they are in **** using Texas plates.

    Good afternoon Mr. ******************* are several companies with similar names in your area. All beginning with *** or ********. ABC Professional Tree Services, *** was established in 2000. We have been in the **** area for 4 years. I too have received calls about other companies whose name begins with *** and I refer them to the correct ABC company. 

    Our corporate headquarters is in *****. We work with multiple utility companies in numerous states. When a storm event happens and the utility companies request our assistance, we send trucks and employees to assist the utility company in restoring power. It is not unusual to see license plates from other states on our vehicles.

     My offer to work with you to resolve your debris and ruts still stands. Please let me know if you will allow us to do so.

     I do not accept what this person is saying. Ive spoken to the company that theyre using their name., And they were not happy about it. They are not allowed on this property ever again, or we will call the local police department. We do have no trespassing signs posted. Ive also contacted the federal government over them.
