            Effective December 22, 2014, Payment Data Systems, Inc. purchased Akimbo Card from Akimbo Financial, Inc. Payment Data Systems, Inc. is now operating as FiCentive, Inc. DBA Akimbo Card and oversees all company matters for services provided after December 22, 2014. 

            Better Business Bureau (BBB) is unable to process complaints against Akimbo Card related to their 'Akimbo Now Incentive Mastercard program'. Akimbo Card is operating as a government contractor to distribute these funds to NY residents who agree to get their COVID-19 Vaccine. BBB encourages consumers with payment issues to contact Akimbo Card directly at (855) 925-4626. 

            BBB will continue to accept any complaints that meet BBB's Complaint Acceptance Guidelines pertaining to Akimbo Card's nongovernmental services as a community development financial institution.

            I have been having issues redeeming my virtual card from akimbo. Each rep showed no interest or concern about the issue I was having. I expressed two days straight that the online website does not work. I also expressed that I do not have a cellphone, but that I have a landline phone. I expressed to them that I have used multiple devices as well as multiple internet sources, and the website does not work. Thanks in advance Akimbo for helping me with nothing. Also P.S. Is it custom for your representatives to hang up on customers once the calls are screened? I called from a second number and you guys picked up right away???? Sound like you guys are not trained on professionalism. Please refrain from responding to this complaint unless your team i.e. the IT department has fixed the issue.

            Ive had this bank for over 10yrs in the last 6 months my account was compromised 4 times. Took a bunch of hoops to get my money back. Now they claim my deposit is pending each agent giving no answers other than sometime before 5pm CST I was told by one agent it is social security issue I called them no issues there the bank has the deposit. I call back 4hrs later and giving the excuse oh it was Easter yesterday its here pending you tell them look I have bills needed payments sorry nothing we can do was then told it goes from SSA account to ******************** then posted in my account every excuse they can think of without saying its their issue. If you asked me a year ago I wouldve recommended Akimbo ask me now thats a big NO looking into a new bank
